It's funny that people actually still believe Obama. His administration have bungled everything they have touched. They are racist, immoral, incompetent, and liars above all else. Only FOOLS continue to believe this dishonest and incompetent racist administration. Sadly, I know several liberal fools who are hypocrites.
I can't stand these people who claim that the tea party or GOP is responsible. The Dems had control of everything for two years! TWO YEARS! We should have been a utopian scociety by now! "Well Obama inherited..." So the solution is add more debt? Right. You say we don't read books.
Republicans and the mentally ill Christians have destroyed the United States. They cater to the rich, vote against their own interest and refuse to read a book. Dumb ass mother fuckers.
@saburius and democrats want to avoid war at all costs. War is definitely a last resort but you guys don't understand that nobody will stop until we're dead. And Obama has killed the country. Bush screwed us but Obama even more! He raised the taxes in 2 years more than Bush could do in 8. LOL and you guys are insecure and when you are proven wrong freak and cuss us out. That's very mature of you.
@saburius PART A:Your statements give you away. It is clear you are a complete economic laymen as you bought the lib line hook, line & sinker like a good cult member. This is what they count on; they same
@saburius PART B:something that sounds appealing, “Pay Fair Share” & your naiveté leads u to believe it’s as simple as that. Throughout history the Gov has collected less rev during times of higher taxes; I have proof
@saburius PART C:of this too long to post here, perhaps in your mail box. If a bleeding man gets a transfusion (revenues) will this save his life? No, u have to repair the wound (spendg). Also, u better to a search on B. Franks & C. Dodd & learn how these r the true culprits, along w/Gov policy that lead to the subprime debacle. Read fee dot org & let your eyes begin to see reality. As far as religious crap; don’t even pay attention to it; has nothg to do w/economics.
You liberal losers better check your kool aid. The stock market is down another 600 pts. today. The world financial markets are calling Obama's bluff. By the way he already jacked our national debt 5 with a T trillion. It's the economy stupid!
Hey did you ever think that maybe it would be in the best interest of our country to work with Obama ? the game you are playing as obstructing and causing gridlock in order to cause trouble is having very negative results. That is the real reason for the down grade by S&P it does nothing for your political ambitions. It hurts all of us..
Oh Dumbo ever hear of WMD's The Bush Crime Family The criminals who you worship ! Your such an idiot we are all rolling on the floor at you rep. liars. Watch your Gov. and all his buddies get crushed by the people on Tuesday. Go read a book. You think you are rich and educated you have been sold a crock of FOX crap!
We need to raise taxes on the very wealthy they can afford it BUSH TAX CUT IS A FAILURE !!! BONE HEAD there is no trickle down. Bring the jobs back here. i bet you drive foreign.
You made me laugh what a moron! You jack asses wanted to default last week to fix Obama. John Boner your fearless leader said " I got 98% of what I wanted I'm Happy" If you had listed to Obama 3 weeks ago and raised the debt ceiling non of this down grade would have happened. You are a bunch of stupid people. Please all you A holes should move to Macau You need to wake up China taxes our imports @25% we tax them 2.5% you need to get smart dumbo.
@uoyuoy444 Yes, many of us are working to move to Macau, HK, Singapore, Australia, etc., and if we all did, you'd have no "1%" to rail against and demand pay for all of your services. It will be quite amusing when all the successful, enterprising people give up on America and leave it a nation of middle-class people who know nothing of how wealth is created and flows through an economy.
Here's something U libs don't seem to realize. The Rich don't need to continue to work. They can retire. It no longer becomes worth it do them to bust their ass doing what they like to do so they simply will close up shop; less jobs. Tax'g nothing leaves u nothing. They r not obligated to build their business & provide jobs; so if Obama doesn't allow them to have a conducive bus. environment, why bother; just retire or go to Macau.
It is obvious you have drinking the GOP Koolaide for a very long time. Where is that plan for creating jobs that Eric and John were talking about last fall?? They have done nothing but played politica. Disgusting that you believe these idiots.
@uoyuoy444 Neither party needs a plan for creating jobs. You can bash guys like Steve Wynn all you want, but he is a pragmatist (who voted for Obama), as most successful business owners are. He's demonstrated he can create billions in wealth and thousands of jobs out of thin air. Government, be in Boehner or Pelosi... not so much. They create jobs by getting out of the way.
Yes keep blaming Obama as you bone head do nothing republicans pretend to do something. All you have been doing is blocking everything he try's to do.You don't have a clue Are you still watching FART NEWS? Sick bunch of blow hard idiots following a party that is destroying this country. All your wars all your Tax cuts for the rich NEVER HAD ONE CENT IN THE BUDGET for it !FACT !
@uoyuoy444 I have to laugh when I read stuff like this. It's like an open admission that you haven't a clue about anything, hence, y idiotic liberal policies continue. How does someone watch Obama make Bush lk conservative by spendg us over a cliff & not even havg a realistic plan for cuttg spendg & seriously reducing our debt & say somethg so damn stupid u have to be part of a cult to believe it?I'm amazed out how some can watch Obama destroy out country & people like u can't admit it
@uoyuoy444 You people are so stupid, if any dictatorship should occur, it shouldn't be Obama telling a business where it can or cannot open up shop like Boeing, it should be to prevent people who know nothing from voting. Soros spent $40 mill to get you to focus on Fox & like a true paid for lemming that's all u think about.Wake Up! If a man lays bleeding & U transfuse blood into him, he still dies; if u repair the wound, the transfusion has something to work w/. (GO TO PART 2)
@uoyuoy444 What does taxing rich do? 1stly, like Obama's buddies at GE, they find loopholes & pay nothing; first they need to fill loopholes. 2ndly reasonable rates make it less expensive to just pay taxes & not hire lawyers to reduce your taxes; therefore revs go up. Also, what good is more revenues when Obama is addicted to spending? He's the reason for the downgrade & anyone with a brain cell would know this. How is business suppose to budget for their future w/all the new ridiculous regs
@uoyuoy444 EVERY damn time Gov thinks they want to try to make things 'fair' according to their own inexperienced brains, they pass a reg which has unintended consequences. THESE MORONS actually believe it's a good idea to force bus to fill out 1099 forms costing about $74/Hr to do so, for each vendor they use while spendg over $600, along w/all their other stupid wasteful regs, while pissing $ called Stimulus away at same time as though this will create jobs. MAN GET AN EDUCATION!
@uoyuoy444 WHERE THE F IS YOUR BRAIN? All of the countries reaching the top of the economic ladder are using good oleAmerican style Capitalism to do it, all the countries using socialistic policy are at the bottom. Obama is emulating those at the bottom, look at where Hong Kong & Singapore is. You guys r like cult members who somehow manage to strike reality from your brains. What, u 2 believe it was all bush because Obama repeats it enough? Heard of B. Franks, C. Dodd, subprimes? Obama lemmings
The correct quote from Alexis DeToqueville "The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money." Thank you Mr. Wynn. Your heart and mind seems to be in the right place. The Tea Party is not about fear, it's about being fed up.
@imrnlil Not only is the Tea Party about fear. It's about lies and propaganda too. It's funny how Fox News treats anyone who says negative things about Obama like royalty. Why wasn't Steve Wynn on Fox BEFORE he trashed Obama? Why did Donald Trump get the red carpet at Fox AFTER he voiced his Birther nonsense? If Trump supported Obama, they would call him a socialist, like they do everyone who disagrees with them.
@Velayasha You know what? Who cares? Obama is turning this into his socialist dream. My nine year old grand daughter has the intellect to trash Obama. It's easy. One word. Afghanistan.
@Velayasha What difference does it make? Obama escalated it, we're still in Iraq, still have Gitmo, he's chomping at the bit to raise taxes, he got the debt ceiling raised. After receiving the Nobel Peace Prize he bombed Libya, continues to bomb Pakistan and Yemen, and made a huge fool of himself in front of the world by telling a sovereign country, Israel, to change their borders back to pre-1967 borders!! He got bin laden based on years worth of someone else's work, no credit there.
@imrnlil I don't get the Nobel Peace Prize thing either. But you forget that Obama himself didn't feel he deserved it. He did not ask for it, so you can't pin that on him in your accusations. He SHOULD be chomping at the bit to increase taxes on the wealthiest. Why should they not contribute to the sacrifices the rest of us will have to make? And Obama did NOT make a fool of himself with Israel. In fact, Netanyahu is currently negotiating the pre-1967 borders. Yes, really.
@Velayasha Obama could have and should have turned the Peace Prize down. He has created a class warfare. Why should the rich be responsible for the poor? I see that was published today. Netanyahu himself said that would never happen, and he still means it. He has offered a compromise that he knows Palestine won't abide, to stop seeking statehood. That is a hollow offer, a gesture. And oh, yes, he looked foolish when Netanyahu said that will never happen. And it never will.
Speaking of Netanyahu, it was interesting to see conservatives support a foreign leader over their own country's president. If Democrats had done that you would have howled "Traitors!". I guess it's ok when Republicans undermine America's president in favor of another country. And Obama ONLY looked to foolish to those who hate him already. The pre 1967 borders was the SAME PLAN that Bush advocated. I didn't hear a peep from you guys then.
@Velayasha Well, it's kinda hard not to; Neanyahu is about as close to the inside scoop of what's really happening than Obama could ever be, yet Obama treated him like crap. Did you miss this whole thing? U, as others, have no clue as to the true history of the area. Lets see allow Hamas to shoot major targets from 20 miles away, well that makes sense, lol
@WingThaiJ As for Netanyahu, where was the Republicans outrage when Bush also advocated a 2 state solution based on the 1967 borders? They raised hell when Obama said the exact same thing. This wasn't about Obama selling Israel out. It was about Republicans looking for anything to slander about Obama. He IS an American and it's time the Right started treating him like one.
@Velayasha Y don't U get this? This is simple! Is he that DUMB No, not really. He knows people will respond to repeated verbiage. Taxg Rich is his 'excuse'.He KNOWS taxg them won't bring in more revs w/out closing loopholes&even if more revs came in, it wouldn't change anythg; it would just be more wasted $ & less incentive for business to expand & hire. A Bleeding person will not survive on a blood transfusion alone, the wound has to be repair so the new blood has a job to do. U don't get this?
@Velayasha U do know that evenPLO admitted there r no real palestinians & the whole call for a homeland was a means to gain arab unity only; right? U do know that the Muslim Brotherhood has given rise to Hamas, Hizbollah, Al Queda, etc&they initially corroborated w/Hitler(Al-Hussein,MBH founder)&the entire thing going on out there had to do w/ridding all non-muslims,especially jewsThere is a whole history left will never accept. Movg to 1967 borders puts terrorists w/in 20 miles of vital targets
@Velayasha Givg an example of a DUMB LIB? Think about it; if Wyn wants to make $, do U think he would sit on his thumbs if environment was ripe to do so? He & most CEO's, COO's r sittg on their thumbs because Obama admin does not provide the environment for expansion, growth of bus.,hence no jobs created.U guys think he & those like him r greedy; do u think he will sit on his thumbs,do nothing if he can make a buck? No,so it's true then. The envirmnt Obama admin provides is not conducive 4 bus.
@WingThaiJ Have you noticed that Republicans have a new word for extremely wealthy people? It's called "job creators". Keep taxes low so business can thrive and more jobs are created. Don't punish sucess!--Well, those arguments would make more sense if we didn't already have close to 10 years of the Bush tax cuts. Obama so far hasn't raised on tax on businesses. Well, job creators? Where are the jobs? Why are we in a recession? The low tax theory has not proven to be true.
@WingThaiJ If rich people are now job creators as Republicans generalize them to be....should I wait for Paris Hilton to open a factory in Detroit and hire thousands? With her tax cut, I'm glad that she can buy a 2nd yacht, and not contribute to lowering the same deficit the Tea Party raises hell about. We'll leave the burden on the poor and middle class. They endure the cuts to medicare, and social security. Jay-Z keeps his tax loopholes.-
@Velayasha Do u even realize how myopic your comment is?What would possess u to place all Rich people same categry? What does what u r sayg have to do w/what I said?I'm not talkg about those who don't have to do anythg for their $ that's called Lucky Sperm. Its obvious fillg up tax loop holes is important, but taxg rich causes many to find loopholes when lower taxes makes it not worth while hiring attorneys;Alsowhat good is takg in more$when the origin of prob continues?
@WingThaiJ Republicans cannot be trusted to raise revenues in good economic times or bad. You know that's true. They have made tax cuts their religion because they've been bought off by corporate lobbyists. And I find the Dems guilty of that too in different ways. Think about it. Why would businesses contribute large sums of money to any party and expect nothing in return? The answer is,"They don't." Through legalized bribery, sanctioned by the supreme court, the rich controls this.
@Velayasha Corporate lobbyists need to GO AWAY; as w/any lobbysts.; that all has to stop. D's & R's have all been a problem over the yrs, but it's part of the D' have made an art of throwg $ away. If conservative responsible economic principles are emplyed, & people are not de-insentivized to work or do for themselves, then revs will come in via increased employment. Face it, CEO's around the Nation know Obama is not conducive for bus., they need to be to creat jobs
@Velayasha The deficit will not be lowered by takg in any form of revs; u do realize this,no?When spendg is this out of control all u'd be doing is throwing in more paper to burn like paper in a fire place.Perhaps a better analogy would be to dump a bucket of water into a volcano and expectg it to have an effect ONCE the spendg is brought under control, than all revs collected can be put to the use of reducing the deficit as it stands you could take 100%of their$ &only take care of a few days
@WingThaiJ As for revenue increases, even if I were to agree with you that it wouldn't help the deficit, they should be raised anyways. How can we ask a single mom, who works 2 jobs, that she must sacrifice, but an oil CEO gets huge tax breaks? It's not right. And I don't buy the Republican line that the rich ar jobn creators. We've had 9 years of Bush tax cuts. I ask you again, Where are the jobs?" Outsourced? Overseas? Cheaper labor no benefits. They don't care about us.
@Velayasha You need to really get some education beyond the liberal one liners like I use to do. Unions are a prime reason for outsourcing & I know this opens a whole new can of worms. That single mom you spoke of needs a job; the Obama environment as you've learned is not conducive toward job creation so do u think that mom should be given $ her entire life? How many have gone out to have more kids to collect more $? No body wants to take any pesonal responsibility for themselves & expect
@Velayasha How can we encourage a single mom to live off of others & to incentivize her to have even more kids? If bus. do not have environment which they KNOW they need to grow & expand, what likelihood will there be of jobs openg up for this single mom to take? Now think about what kids learn from parents about how to make it in the world & what lessons does that teach to their kids one day?Business has no reason to expand so poor single mom won't have a job to go to thanks to Obama admin
@WingThaiJ "Business has no reason to expand so poor single mom won't have a job to go to thanks to Obama admin."--We both know that jobs were vanishing in the hundreds per day, before Obama took office. Blaming the economy's state on him is not fair or accurate. I cede to you that the economy's growth rate has been extremely slow during O's term so far, but he did not put the country in this state. The stimulus didn't create jobs, but it did stop the bleeding. Now we have to climb back up.
@Velayasha Dodd and Frank? Sub prime loans? It was a good idea, that went horribly wrong. They were trying to get banks to stop redlining minorities. The black middle class was growing and they couldn't get approved for loans even though they had decent credit and good jobs. The Dems are not blameless. There should have been more oversight [regulations which Republicans hate]. The main culprit was greed. A bipartisan malady. Everybody screwed up on that.
@Velayasha No, main problem was GOV involvement in the private sector. My relative came from absolute poverty. This spurred his desire to get himself out of the mess his family was in. He was inspired to work is buttocks off to get to where he is now & I can tell u of numerous people I myself know who have dropped out of careers because of the hand-outs they get from the Gov. It becomes like a drug, you become lazy & give in & in order to keep the drug coming, you vote these people back in again
@Velayasha ..expects everyone else to bail them out.. The problem is that what sounds great on the surface never ends of being great for anyone in the long term. These people need job training & encouraged to work and the more jobs available the more employers will compete for that person as a potential employee the more they can earn
@Velayasha If it weren't for the Tea Party (& I'm not a member) we wouldn't be talking spendg cuts; they are heros; can't believe how u guys can put blinders on & can't realize Obama is doing nothg of significance relative to deficit; it's like 2 days of stimulus is going to do anything during 365 days in the yr.. As far as Birth, I personally wouldn't care if he were born elsewhere, that's just me, but he did talk about growing up in another country which makes it understandable Y 1 might ask
@WingThaiJ The Tea party COULD have been the heroes. They got power hungry and became villians. Yes, the spotlight they shined on the deficit is a good thing. Holding the country, our markets, and global markets hostage, was dangerous and irresponsible. They have shown more hatred for Obama, than common sense and reason.
Most Americans agree we need to cut spending [and increase tax on wealthiest]. Holding the debt ceiling hostage was not the way to do it. They need to be voted out.
@Velayasha How did they become villains, I would say they've become REALISTS. Think about it, we're talking about over a $14 Trillion dollar debt; how is the budget plan going to even dent this? Thank goodness for the Balanced Budget Amendment. This is our best opp. to get what we need and yes thanks to the Tea Party. It's actually EXTREME to believe we can sustain our spending & only cut a few Trillion in spendg w/our current status.
@Velayasha Increasing taxes on the wealthiest works for liberal propaganda but in the real world it means nothing. Now, increase the taxes & watch the rich hire attorneys to save $. Many economists have shown that increasing taxes actually lowers revenues. Note Obama's buddies from GE who paid nothing. What is 80% of nothing? Still nothing. So we know they need to close the loopholes, right? Now considering the spending disaster; throwg more $ into the flood will not solve anything.
@Velayasha Look what it did, btw, not the Balance Budget Amendment. This is AWESOME! If it weren't for the Tea Party we wouldn't have it; I'll have to check the latest on this, but now the politicians will be forced to treat other people's money as they treat their own. Yes, history will look fondly upon the Tea party.
@WingThaiJ I don't think the BB Amendment passed. Why do we need an amendment to have Congress do their jobs anyway? That bill was totally tilted too the far right anyways. Just because the Tea Party is popular among some today, does not mean they will looked at favorably in the future. In fact, I doubt it. They resent mexicans, arabs, and many of them ar ok with blacks...as long as they don't become President or date their daughters. It's a movement of white resistance.
@VelayashaROFL,we shouldn't have to have an amendment to have them do their job; problem is THEY R NOT doing their job;they need to be FORCED to.Y would u say somethg that u know is not true.I'm not a tea prty person, but I did go to sev meetgs;there is nothg racist; it's all about fiscal responsibility-bottom line; race crd is so pathetic.Reality Check: Forbes mag has done a state-by-state analysis-found states voting lib the most r suffering worst, while Red states r doing the best. Y? Obvious
@Velayasha Also, NO BODY should have any benefits over that of another. No corporation etc... that is the point of getting GOV OUT OF BUSINESS! Let the private sector compete, watch jobs grow, what more opportunity for that single mom grow
@Velayasha People throw the word lies and propaganda around like a catch phrase. If you don't want to cater to propaganda, research the info yourself to find out it's truth. Everytime Gov gets the idea it can help people by doing something it always backfires. The whole subprime debacle came about because GOV felt everyone should own a home, despite their ability to pay a Mortgage. Thanks to C. Dodd/B.Franks (D) & clinton policies they got that home; they foreclosed & we all had to pay for it
@Velayasha Look at something as simple as Cash4Clunkers: The Gov had what they thought to be a great idea, then charities relying on car donations were devastated,as were businesses competing with the car market, etc.Nightmare paperwork, dealers not gettg paid; This is because we have people in charge w/out real business experience. On top of that they don't learn from their mistakes because they can just steal more $. Business learn from mistakes so they don't lose again, they gain experience.
@Velayasha The Gov & politicians make the spending sound nobel, in the end it's all a waste. The private sector will always function better than the public. Compare city owned city parks to privately own parks, compare indians collecting welfare to those who do not; compare Hong Kong, Singapore who are using capitalism to employee people to socilistic countries who are at the bottom of the economic ladder. Obama is bring'g us there.
@WingThaiJ Raw Capitalism is just as evil as raw Communism. Both press their boot against the necks of the poor. Republicans love to claim hope christian they are, but they forget the principle,"As you have done to the least among you, so you have done unto me". The Tea Party doesn't really give a damn about the poor. They label everyone who is poor as a liberal, lazy, a socialist, junkies, and other undesireables. They worship Mammon [money].
@Velayasha NO RICH PERSON HAS STOPPED a Poor Person from making it. My relative came from a DIRT POOR family. He was determined not to live like this for the rest of his life. It INSPIRED HIM to succeed. Had he & his family taken hand-outs, as has happen all too often, the initiative to succeed could have been stolen from him. The Obama Admin is a form of Modern Day Slavery; they want amnesty for 1 reason, to grow their votes for pwr; they trade hand-outs (bribes) for votes (drugs)
@WingThaiJ I like you. We totally disagee but so far there has been no name calling and insults. I just think you're misguided. The rich has historically oppressed the poor. Carnagie [or was it JP Morgan?] literally hired Pinkerton guys to kill families of people who were trying to unionize. There was a reason child labor laws had to get put inplace. This goes back to Feudal lords and serfs. Landowners and share croppers. Not all the rich are bad, but they love cheap labor.
@Velayasha PART 1: How can you watch this kind of spend'g constant Gov waste, & think I'm misguided? Yes, people like cheap labor, but they r willg to pay good $ to those who work hard; naturally compensation increases as 1 makes themselves a valuable asset to the company AS IT SHOULD! U think bus. owners won't want to keep a valuable asset? How would they do this? By payg more than the competition.
@Velayasha Part 2: U ] think the minimum wage was a good thing? OK, here we go: New Deal programs were largely based on old, progressive ideas suggested during the late 1800s & early 1900s at end of the greatest economic boom in world history the American "Golden Age" circa 1850-1910. The time of the "Robber Barons"-Carnege, Vanderbilt, Morgan, Scrantons, etc. These entrepreneurs were labeled as Robber
@Velayasha Part 3: Barons by the "muckrackers", crusading progressive journalists like Ida Tarbell and Upton Sinclair who labeled them as largely selfish and corrupt. The early progressive agenda could not pass congress until the crisis of the Great Depression (sound familiar? "Never let a good crisis go to waste"-Rahm Emmanuel, 2008-9). New Deal programs are still here today. They include; labor support programs (NLRA,
@Velayasha PART 4: Wagner Act & Fair Labor Standards Act-setting maximum work hours and minimum wage), housing (FHA), farm subsidies, Social Security, FDIC, the SECThe Progressive movement advocated "improving what exists" by using one's intellect and making use of scientific methods for areas that were not thought to be effected by sciences (social "sciences"). This group of progressives included "eugenicists" who
@Velayasha PART 5: ...believed fervently in the new science of genetics and the discoveries of Darwin (John Maynard Keynes was a eugenicist). They believed that the human gene pool could be "improved" by discouraging the proliferation of "inferior" people and races. Minimum wages were originally conceived by these superior thinkers (progressive eugenicists) as raising the price of labor to discourage the hiring of
@Velayasha PART 6: "inferiors" (blacks, the Irish and others) by pricing them out of the labor market. They sincerely believed that their superior intellect could "improve things by superior intellect and scientific methods being employed in societal planning". They read Darwin and got it wrong. Instead of accepting the world as it is and accepting how it operated and using intellect to understand and adapt (evolve) to and with it,
@Velayasha PART 7: their hubris lead them to believe that their superior intellect could change it for the "better" as they sought to define better. Their views have lead to today's America, a mixed economy pretending to be "free" while having to cope with the myriad of unintended consequences of the "better ideas" enacted by the progressives who can't accept that the consequences we now deal with are the result of their
@Velayasha PART 8: ...own misguided actions intended to "improve reality", "make the world a better place", make things "fairer". Darwin taught us that the world is what it is and everything in it evolves as changes are judged in an uncertain future that no one can forecast. Physical mutations, concepts, innovations, ideas etc. can only be judged by their success or failure in that world that simply is and in a future that cannot be
@Velayasha PART 9:... foretold, not one that is constrained by an intelligencia that hubristically invents a "better" world that "ought" or "should" be, that is based on their own judgments of what ought to be. In order to shape the world the way that they want it to be, the way that they imagine it should or ought to be, progressives by definition must constrain freedom: freedom to act individually; to fail, to succeed too much (judged, of course
@Velayasha PART 10: by them), to act in ways they believe to be foolish, "wasteful", "greedy" and so on. I omitted the connection between unionism in our base industries (particularly steel and autos) and effects of work rules & gov regs on productivity & innovation. After unions forced wage rates to unsustainable levels w/a combination of wrk stoppage disruptions (augmented by FDR's NLRA), punative payments to workers
@Velayasha PART II: displaced by innovations/automations of the work process and union political activism (you, Mr. Politician, agree to help me, Mr. Union Leader, get better pay, benefits and more restrictive, union member "work rights" and I, Mr. Union Leader, agree to "kick back" some of that additional money you make manufacturers pay to my member workers to keep you, Mr. Politician, in office and we'll pass it on to everyone
@Velayasha PART 12:...who wants to buy a car). The unintended consequences of the Bernie Maidoffesque corrupt process included; 1) an unsustainable wage rate that made the cost of the cars higher in world markets with loss of American cars' market share (less critical mass of demand, less economies of scale, higher unit prices-a cost, loss of share, more cost death spiral). 2) manufacturers' need to automate out those
@Velayasha PART 13: ,,,more expensive workers to compete (the Germans became very good at this. They didn't have as punative a payment for laid off workers as our auto companies had). As a result the Germans now make more cars with less workers and have jobs for displaced skilled workers in plants making automated, labor saving machinery. Jobs we do not have due to our plethora of manufacturer unfriendly work
@Velayasha PART 14: rules and regulations. The real problem (another of a myriad of unintended consequences of progressive thinking) was that those talented German engineers and industrial designers built, for the first time in history, machines that not only built more for less, but had brains! They fixed problems themselves or notified the worker on the line about problems in real time-building in QUALITY as well as labor
@Velayasha PART 15: ,,,saving quantity! That act empowered a half a billion less skilled workers in an emerging China to leap forward from an economy frozen in the 19th century when Deng Chou Ping "opened up" China's economy in 1978 to the 21st century in less than a generation. Our vaunted progressive ideas F'ed us big time! My relative saw this himself. He went to China in 1979 (went to HK and crossed into the first
@Velayasha PART 16: "opened up" Special Economic Zone (SEZ) a 350,000 population fishing village called Shenzhen. Now a city he just visited in May with a population exceeding 12 million!) We lost our industries, our jobs, our incentives to innovate, our workers' drive, our workers' need to perform and produce to keep their job; all in the name "fairness", "workers' rights", making fair wages, protecting the workers (OSHA
@Velayasha PART 17: regs), the environment, womens' rights to equal pay, and on and on-focusing on politically correct, utopian pretend fantasies that ignored the truth; the world's consumers want the best product at the best price-they are little effected by how it's made or who makes it. It may be a "shame", it "ought" to be different it "should" be different but it isn't! Progressives ideas do not work in the real world and cannot succeed without the use of those words-ought and should.
@Velayasha NOW, final point! Steve Wyn, Weidner from Las Vegas Sands& most CEO's KNOW that the environment is not conducive for expandg & hiring. Obviously they would expand if it meant earng $, right? So they aren't going to stop growg/makg $ to make political points. This is REALITY;the actual job producers do not have the environment they need to create the Jobs! This is about as clear as anyone can make it; so I have to ask you to look in the mirror & try to determine who is really misguided
@WingThaiJ Geez! All that just from calling you misguided? As if you didn't think that I'm misguided too. We don't agree. We're SUPPOSED to think of each other as misguided. Don't be so thin skinned, Most people on Youtube who disagree call each other much worse things such as "asshole, idiot, or some racial, or homophobic slur. You should be thanking me! lol! As for the points you raised, I will address them...but not tonight. Until next time.
@Velayasha LOL,I wasn't being thin skinned,I guess it comes across that way when in this medium; However, I've heard all of what you've said before, I figured best way would be for me to lay this out for u from a job creators perspective as I know people who employee world wide & have seen 1st hand results of socialism vs capitalism..Other countries have learned lessons from our past&R surpassing us, while we r takg lessons from losers & we're headed in their direction. How do u not see this?
@Velayasha I appreciate this to, but because of have so many examples from w/in our country & abroad as to how Socialism kills off nations & capitalism allows them to thrive, because of my relatives rags to riches experience & his personal experience w/how the economy has changed in China because of capitalistic policy, because I know how good intentions put into place by fallible inexperienced Gov people always end up w/unforseen problems leading to blame gaming, I NOW KNOW WE NEED SMALLER GOV
@WingThaiJ Yes! i agree. our government is way too big. but we have wayyy too many people are getting there own cut and are working for the govt... but they dont create or produce anything to get money so how the hell are they paying people?! taxes. bullshit. people need to be working for private companies that dont just get their money by soaking it up from their citizens. this isnt what our founding fathers had in mind. if they were here theyd be leading the revolt.
@cougarfingers7 As a business owner in order to get & keep good people, I need to make it worth their while. Competition for business & for employment improves the business & employee. Competition reduces prices.
This country was destoyed long before Obama came in. Hows that Honda, Toyota workin out for ya! Find those WMD's yet ? Get a bonus for the CEO lay off some workers and then give them a tax cut ! oh gotta go to Walmart now see ya !!
@uoyuoy444 Yes, I'd like to know what Saddam did w/the chemicals he used on his own people; U think he used every last drop of it & the rest just evaporated? Clinton's home ownership policy Disaster causing our maj problems w/subprimes; thanks to C. Dodd & B. Franks; yet if Obama repeats Bush enough times his cult flock somehow just believe him; yes Bush screwed up, Obama dwarfed him as far as spending goes.
@BryantBergemann "WE NEED SOCIALISM MORE THAN EVER..." you have got to be kidding me, why would anyone ever even think about saying that!? its the stupidest thing I've heard all year. At least Obama doesn't really claim to be socialist, even through we all know he is, and that it is bad for America , Obama has not done one single thing that is positive. And capturing Obama, I mean Osama bin laden, does not count either, because that was a result of bush's policies that were already in place.
@BryantBergemann We don't need socialism. You want socialism because you want to iive off of someone else's labor. Obama is as socialist as they come.
He's dead on about everything he's saying

It's funny that people actually still believe Obama. His administration have bungled everything they have touched. They are racist, immoral, incompetent, and liars above all else. @uoyuoy444 Yes, many of us are working to move to Macau, HK, Singapore, Australia, etc., and if we all did, you'd have no "1%" to rail against and demand pay for all of your services.

Disgusting that you believe these idiots.
uoyuoy444 7 months ago
@uoyuoy444 Neither party needs a plan for creating jobs. You can bash guys like Steve Wynn all you want, but he is a pragmatist (who voted for Obama), as most successful business owners are. He's demonstrated he can create billions in wealth and thousands of jobs out of thin air. Government, be in Boehner or Pelosi... not so much. They create jobs by getting out of the way.

@uoyuoy444 You people are so stupid, if any dictatorship should occur, it shouldn't be Obama telling a business where it can or cannot open up shop like Boeing, it should be to prevent people who know nothing from voting. If a man lays bleeding & U transfuse blood into him, he still dies; if u repair the wound, the transfusion has something to work w/. (GO TO PART 2)
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@uoyuoy444 What does taxing rich do? 1stly, like Obama's buddies at GE, they find loopholes & pay nothing; first they need to fill loopholes. 2ndly reasonable rates make it less expensive to just pay taxes & not hire lawyers to reduce your taxes; therefore revs go up. Also, what good is more revenues when Obama is addicted to spending? He's the reason for the downgrade & anyone with a brain cell would know this. How is business suppose to budget for their future w/all the new ridiculous regs
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@uoyuoy444 EVERY damn time Gov thinks they want to try to make things 'fair' according to their own inexperienced brains, they pass a reg which has unintended consequences. THESE MORONS actually believe it's a good idea to force bus to fill out 1099 forms costing about $74/Hr to do so, for each vendor they use while spendg over $600, along w/all their other stupid wasteful regs, while pissing $ called Stimulus away at same time as though this will create jobs. MAN GET AN EDUCATION!

The correct quote from Alexis DeToqueville "The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money." Thank you Mr. Wynn. Your heart and mind seems to be in the right place. The Tea Party is not about fear, it's about being fed up.
imrnlil 7 months ago
@imrnlil Not only is the Tea Party about fear. It's about lies and propaganda too. It's funny how Fox News treats anyone who says negative things about Obama like royalty. Why wasn't Steve Wynn on Fox BEFORE he trashed Obama? Why did Donald Trump get the red carpet at Fox AFTER he voiced his Birther nonsense? If Trump supported Obama, they would call him a socialist, like they do everyone who disagrees with them.
Velayasha 7 months ago
@Velayasha You know what? Who cares? Obama is turning this into his socialist dream. My nine year old grand daughter has the intellect to trash Obama. It's easy. One word. Afghanistan.
imrnlil 7 months ago
@imrnlil And which president was it that sent us to Afghanistan in the first place? Which one had Bin Laden gotten during his watch? Just askin'.
Velayasha 7 months ago
@Velayasha What difference does it make? Obama escalated it, we're still in Iraq, still have Gitmo, he's chomping at the bit to raise taxes, he got the debt ceiling raised. After receiving the Nobel Peace Prize he bombed Libya, continues to bomb Pakistan and Yemen, and made a huge fool of himself in front of the world by telling a sovereign country, Israel, to change their borders back to pre-1967 borders!! He got bin laden based on years worth of someone else's work, no credit there.
imrnlil 7 months ago
@imrnlil I don't get the Nobel Peace Prize thing either. But you forget that Obama himself didn't feel he deserved it. He did not ask for it, so you can't pin that on him in your accusations. He SHOULD be chomping at the bit to increase taxes on the wealthiest. Why should they not contribute to the sacrifices the rest of us will have to make? And Obama did NOT make a fool of himself with Israel. In fact, Netanyahu is currently negotiating the pre-1967 borders. Yes, really.
Velayasha 7 months ago
@Velayasha Obama could have and should have turned the Peace Prize down. He has created a class warfare. Why should the rich be responsible for the poor? I see that was published today. Netanyahu himself said that would never happen, and he still means it. He has offered a compromise that he knows Palestine won't abide, to stop seeking statehood. That is a hollow offer, a gesture. And oh, yes, he looked foolish when Netanyahu said that will never happen. And it never will.
imrnlil 7 months ago
@imrnlil
Velayasha 7 months ago
@Velayasha Well, it's kinda hard not to; Neanyahu is about as close to the inside scoop of what's really happening than Obama could ever be, yet Obama treated him like crap. Did you miss this whole thing? U, as others, have no clue as to the true history of the area. Lets see allow Hamas to shoot major targets from 20 miles away, well that makes sense, lol
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@WingThaiJ As for Netanyahu, where was the Republicans outrage when Bush also advocated a 2 state solution based on the 1967 borders? They raised hell when Obama said the exact same thing. This wasn't about Obama selling Israel out. It was about Republicans looking for anything to slander about Obama. He IS an American and it's time the Right started treating him like one.
Velayasha 7 months ago
@Velayasha Y don't U get this? This is simple! Is he that DUMB No, not really. He knows people will respond to repeated verbiage. Taxg Rich is his 'excuse'.He KNOWS taxg them won't bring in more revs w/out closing loopholes&even if more revs came in, it wouldn't change anythg; it would just be more wasted $ & less incentive for business to expand & hire. A Bleeding person will not survive on a blood transfusion alone, the wound has to be repair so the new blood has a job to do. U don't get this?
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@Velayasha U do know that evenPLO admitted there r no real palestinians & the whole call for a homeland was a means to gain arab unity only; right? U do know that the Muslim Brotherhood has given rise to Hamas, Hizbollah, Al Queda, etc&they initially corroborated w/Hitler(Al-Hussein,MBH founder)&the entire thing going on out there had to do w/ridding all non-muslims,especially jewsThere is a whole history left will never accept. Movg to 1967 borders puts terrorists w/in 20 miles of vital targets
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@Velayasha Givg an example of a DUMB LIB? Think about it; if Wyn wants to make $, do U think he would sit on his thumbs if environment was ripe to do so? He & most CEO's, COO's r sittg on their thumbs because Obama admin does not provide the environment for expansion, growth of bus.,hence no jobs created.U guys think he & those like him r greedy; do u think he will sit on his thumbs,do nothing if he can make a buck? No,so it's true then. The envirmnt Obama admin provides is not conducive 4 bus.
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@WingThaiJ Have you noticed that Republicans have a new word for extremely wealthy people? It's called "job creators". Keep taxes low so business can thrive and more jobs are created. Don't punish sucess!--Well, those arguments would make more sense if we didn't already have close to 10 years of the Bush tax cuts. Obama so far hasn't raised on tax on businesses. Well, job creators? Where are the jobs? Why are we in a recession? The low tax theory has not proven to be true.
Velayasha 7 months ago
@WingThaiJ If rich people are now job creators as Republicans generalize them to be....should I wait for Paris Hilton to open a factory in Detroit and hire thousands? With her tax cut, I'm glad that she can buy a 2nd yacht, and not contribute to lowering the same deficit the Tea Party raises hell about. We'll leave the burden on the poor and middle class. They endure the cuts to medicare, and social security. Jay-Z keeps his tax loopholes.-
Velayasha 7 months ago
@Velayasha Do u even realize how myopic your comment is?What would possess u to place all Rich people same categry? What does what u r sayg have to do w/what I said?I'm not talkg about those who don't have to do anythg for their $ that's called Lucky Sperm. Its obvious fillg up tax loop holes is important, but taxg rich causes many to find loopholes when lower taxes makes it not worth while hiring attorneys;Alsowhat good is takg in more$when the origin of prob continues?
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@WingThaiJ Republicans cannot be trusted to raise revenues in good economic times or bad. You know that's true. They have made tax cuts their religion because they've been bought off by corporate lobbyists. And I find the Dems guilty of that too in different ways. Think about it. Why would businesses contribute large sums of money to any party and expect nothing in return? The answer is,"They don't." Through legalized bribery, sanctioned by the supreme court, the rich controls this.
Velayasha 7 months ago
@Velayasha Corporate lobbyists need to GO AWAY; as w/any lobbysts.; that all has to stop. D's & R's have all been a problem over the yrs, but it's part of the D' have made an art of throwg $ away. If conservative responsible economic principles are emplyed, & people are not de-insentivized to work or do for themselves, then revs will come in via increased employment. Face it, CEO's around the Nation know Obama is not conducive for bus., they need to be to creat jobs
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@Velayasha The deficit will not be lowered by takg in any form of revs; u do realize this,no?When spendg is this out of control all u'd be doing is throwing in more paper to burn like paper in a fire place.Perhaps a better analogy would be to dump a bucket of water into a volcano and expectg it to have an effect ONCE the spendg is brought under control, than all revs collected can be put to the use of reducing the deficit as it stands you could take 100%of their$ &only take care of a few days
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@WingThaiJ As for revenue increases, even if I were to agree with you that it wouldn't help the deficit, they should be raised anyways. How can we ask a single mom, who works 2 jobs, that she must sacrifice, but an oil CEO gets huge tax breaks? It's not right. And I don't buy the Republican line that the rich ar jobn creators. We've had 9 years of Bush tax cuts. I ask you again, Where are the jobs?" Outsourced? Overseas? Cheaper labor no benefits. They don't care about us.
Velayasha 7 months ago
@Velayasha You need to really get some education beyond the liberal one liners like I use to do. Unions are a prime reason for outsourcing & I know this opens a whole new can of worms. That single mom you spoke of needs a job; the Obama environment as you've learned is not conducive toward job creation so do u think that mom should be given $ her entire life? How many have gone out to have more kids to collect more $? No body wants to take any pesonal responsibility for themselves & expect
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@Velayasha How can we encourage a single mom to live off of others & to incentivize her to have even more kids? If bus. do not have environment which they KNOW they need to grow & expand, what likelihood will there be of jobs openg up for this single mom to take? Now think about what kids learn from parents about how to make it in the world & what lessons does that teach to their kids one day?Business has no reason to expand so poor single mom won't have a job to go to thanks to Obama admin
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@WingThaiJ "Business has no reason to expand so poor single mom won't have a job to go to thanks to Obama admin."--We both know that jobs were vanishing in the hundreds per day, before Obama took office. Blaming the economy's state on him is not fair or accurate. I cede to you that the economy's growth rate has been extremely slow during O's term so far, but he did not put the country in this state. The stimulus didn't create jobs, but it did stop the bleeding. Now we have to climb back up.
Velayasha 7 months ago
@Velayasha Dodd and Frank? Sub prime loans? It was a good idea, that went horribly wrong. They were trying to get banks to stop redlining minorities. The black middle class was growing and they couldn't get approved for loans even though they had decent credit and good jobs. The Dems are not blameless. There should have been more oversight [regulations which Republicans hate]. The main culprit was greed. A bipartisan malady. Everybody screwed up on that.
Velayasha 7 months ago
@Velayasha No, main problem was GOV involvement in the private sector. My relative came from absolute poverty. This spurred his desire to get himself out of the mess his family was in. He was inspired to work is buttocks off to get to where he is now & I can tell u of numerous people I myself know who have dropped out of careers because of the hand-outs they get from the Gov. It becomes like a drug, you become lazy & give in & in order to keep the drug coming, you vote these people back in again
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@Velayasha ..expects everyone else to bail them out.. The problem is that what sounds great on the surface never ends of being great for anyone in the long term. These people need job training & encouraged to work and the more jobs available the more employers will compete for that person as a potential employee the more they can earn
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@Velayasha If it weren't for the Tea Party (& I'm not a member) we wouldn't be talking spendg cuts; they are heros; can't believe how u guys can put blinders on & can't realize Obama is doing nothg of significance relative to deficit; it's like 2 days of stimulus is going to do anything during 365 days in the yr.. As far as Birth, I personally wouldn't care if he were born elsewhere, that's just me, but he did talk about growing up in another country which makes it understandable Y 1 might ask
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@WingThaiJ The Tea party COULD have been the heroes. They got power hungry and became villians. Yes, the spotlight they shined on the deficit is a good thing. Holding the country, our markets, and global markets hostage, was dangerous and irresponsible. They have shown more hatred for Obama, than common sense and reason.
Most Americans agree we need to cut spending [and increase tax on wealthiest]. Holding the debt ceiling hostage was not the way to do it. They need to be voted out.
Velayasha 7 months ago
@Velayasha How did they become villains, I would say they've become REALISTS. Think about it, we're talking about over a $14 Trillion dollar debt; how is the budget plan going to even dent this? Thank goodness for the Balanced Budget Amendment. This is our best opp. to get what we need and yes thanks to the Tea Party. It's actually EXTREME to believe we can sustain our spending & only cut a few Trillion in spendg w/our current status.
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@Velayasha Increasing taxes on the wealthiest works for liberal propaganda but in the real world it means nothing. Now, increase the taxes & watch the rich hire attorneys to save $. Many economists have shown that increasing taxes actually lowers revenues. Note Obama's buddies from GE who paid nothing. What is 80% of nothing? Still nothing. So we know they need to close the loopholes, right? Now considering the spending disaster; throwg more $ into the flood will not solve anything.
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@Velayasha Look what it did, btw, not the Balance Budget Amendment. This is AWESOME! If it weren't for the Tea Party we wouldn't have it; I'll have to check the latest on this, but now the politicians will be forced to treat other people's money as they treat their own. Yes, history will look fondly upon the Tea party.
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@WingThaiJ I don't think the BB Amendment passed. Why do we need an amendment to have Congress do their jobs anyway? That bill was totally tilted too the far right anyways. Just because the Tea Party is popular among some today, does not mean they will looked at favorably in the future. In fact, I doubt it. They resent mexicans, arabs, and many of them ar ok with blacks...as long as they don't become President or date their daughters. It's a movement of white resistance.
Velayasha 7 months ago
@VelayashaROFL,we shouldn't have to have an amendment to have them do their job; problem is THEY R NOT doing their job;they need to be FORCED to.Y would u say somethg that u know is not true.I'm not a tea prty person, but I did go to sev meetgs;there is nothg racist; it's all about fiscal responsibility-bottom line; race crd is so pathetic.Reality Check: Forbes mag has done a state-by-state analysis-found states voting lib the most r suffering worst, while Red states r doing the best. Y? Obvious
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@Velayasha Also, NO BODY should have any benefits over that of another. No corporation etc... that is the point of getting GOV OUT OF BUSINESS! Let the private sector compete, watch jobs grow, what more opportunity for that single mom grow
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@Velayasha People throw the word lies and propaganda around like a catch phrase. If you don't want to cater to propaganda, research the info yourself to find out it's truth. Everytime Gov gets the idea it can help people by doing something it always backfires. The whole subprime debacle came about because GOV felt everyone should own a home, despite their ability to pay a Mortgage. Thanks to C. Dodd/B.Franks (D) & clinton policies they got that home; they foreclosed & we all had to pay for it
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@Velayasha Look at something as simple as Cash4Clunkers: The Gov had what they thought to be a great idea, then charities relying on car donations were devastated,as were businesses competing with the car market, etc.Nightmare paperwork, dealers not gettg paid; This is because we have people in charge w/out real business experience. On top of that they don't learn from their mistakes because they can just steal more $. Business learn from mistakes so they don't lose again, they gain experience.
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@Velayasha The Gov & politicians make the spending sound nobel, in the end it's all a waste. The private sector will always function better than the public. Compare city owned city parks to privately own parks, compare indians collecting welfare to those who do not; compare Hong Kong, Singapore who are using capitalism to employee people to socilistic countries who are at the bottom of the economic ladder. Obama is bring'g us there.
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@WingThaiJ Raw Capitalism is just as evil as raw Communism. Both press their boot against the necks of the poor. Republicans love to claim hope christian they are, but they forget the principle,"As you have done to the least among you, so you have done unto me". The Tea Party doesn't really give a damn about the poor. They label everyone who is poor as a liberal, lazy, a socialist, junkies, and other undesireables. They worship Mammon [money].
Velayasha 7 months ago
@Velayasha NO RICH PERSON HAS STOPPED a Poor Person from making it. My relative came from a DIRT POOR family. He was determined not to live like this for the rest of his life. It INSPIRED HIM to succeed. Had he & his family taken hand-outs, as has happen all too often, the initiative to succeed could have been stolen from him. The Obama Admin is a form of Modern Day Slavery; they want amnesty for 1 reason, to grow their votes for pwr; they trade hand-outs (bribes) for votes (drugs)
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@WingThaiJ I like you. We totally disagee but so far there has been no name calling and insults. I just think you're misguided. The rich has historically oppressed the poor. Carnagie [or was it JP Morgan?] literally hired Pinkerton guys to kill families of people who were trying to unionize. There was a reason child labor laws had to get put inplace. This goes back to Feudal lords and serfs. Landowners and share croppers. Not all the rich are bad, but they love cheap labor.
Velayasha 7 months ago
@Velayasha PART 1: How can you watch this kind of spend'g constant Gov waste, & think I'm misguided? Yes, people like cheap labor, but they r willg to pay good $ to those who work hard; naturally compensation increases as 1 makes themselves a valuable asset to the company AS IT SHOULD! U think bus. owners won't want to keep a valuable asset? How would they do this? By payg more than the competition.
WingThaiJ 7 months ago

WingThaiJ 7 months ago

WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@Velayasha I appreciate this to, but because of have so many examples from w/in our country & abroad as to how Socialism kills off nations & capitalism allows them to thrive, because of my relatives rags to riches experience & his personal experience w/how the economy has changed in China because of capitalistic policy, because I know how good intentions put into place by fallible inexperienced Gov people always end up w/unforseen problems leading to blame gaming, I NOW KNOW WE NEED SMALLER GOV
WingThaiJ 7 months ago
@WingThaiJ Yes! i agree. our government is way too big. but we have wayyy too many people are getting there own cut and are working for the govt... but they dont create or produce anything to get money so how the hell are they paying people?! taxes. bullshit. people need to be working for private companies that dont just get their money by soaking it up from their citizens. this isnt what our founding fathers had in mind. if they were here theyd be leading the revolt.

Clinton's home ownership policy Disaster causing our maj problems w/subprimes; thanks to C. Dodd & B.
