@ilovechevy1 The Gallardo is around $220,000 new, and this Heffner TT kit is around 100,000... check out underground racing, they're much better than Heffner.

@ilovechevy1 You're probably thinking of the Murcielago, which is still only 350K new. It isn't about brand name stuff, underground racing and heffner (and AMS, etc...) put a hell of a lot of money into making horsepower and reliability. The key word there is reliability, it's hard to double stock horsepower in anything while keeping it reliable. I'm just jealous that they have the money to spend like that. Exotics are works of art, real head-turners.

Seems like a very modest TT kit for a Gallardo. Don't get me wrong, beautiful car. But I am aiming for 11 to very high 10s in a 2.0 liter A4 with 500-525 AWHP. And UGR may have a 9.1 1/4 mile, but it's running crazy HP numbers, it is a beast though.

It is an awesome display. The car ran low 11's on street tires. That is impressive that it is that powerful, has to launch soft, and still manages a good time in the quarter mile. And based on the trap speed, you can tell it would be in the mid 10 second range if it were to hook up.
But it's biggest win is the top speed it will be able to do.
I do not see what you're complaining about. It's like you're trying to defend a car from an attack when the 'attack' is praise.

I think it's very hard to get a street car into 10s.... Give him a break, it's an amazing car. And if it's still AWD, it needs to be launched smoothly if you don't want to ruin the drive train in one weekend. Also notice that he has a gear change just before hitting the 1/4 mile mark, that costs him the time in the 10s.

wow...a stock corvette ZR1 with about 200whp less can trap 128mph in a 1/4 mile. i would imagine the money spent on this v10 and with two turbos and 700+whp it would trap a bit more.

ability to run 9s w/ slicks is irrelevant. im talking about this car's surprisingly low TRAP speed. no one is talking about ETs. tire grip affects ET more than trap speeds. the black gallardo i referred to in my last post is running on street tires too but trapping 169mph. of course it has much more than 700whp but you blammed this car's low trap speed entirely to lack of tire grip. thats incorrect.
no one declared ZR1 to be faster/superior. TT or not, i would rather own a gallardo anyday.
