  • Cool vid. One thing I did not get was, what did you do after the sphereize effect? The crop out thingy..

  • @tkkloster I used Filter>Distort>Sphereize :)

  • Very nice. I especially liked the Ganymede touch there at the end.

  • Heh, Funny hood!

  • nice one !!! :))))

  • Hey, im stuck with the texture of the planet. how do you blend it to get those bands?

  • @TillDragon From the colorful clouds to the stripes, go into filter>blur>motion blur. The angle should be set at 0 and the amount to 999 (the highest). If the edges look a bit funny, hit ctrl+F or command+F (depending on what computer you are using) a few times till the effect looks right. Hope that helped! :)

  • Really good video - For all those who say it's too fast....you can pause you know :p

  • Thank you for very much! I am creating an outerspace scene in which I'll use textures for 3D animation software.

  • @MOTHMAN225 Fantastic mate! Be sure to show me some of your creations, I'm curious as to what you will produce... :]

  • @jk19studios When I get all of the animating done, I'll post the video on YouTube. =)

  • Easy and beautiful ;) Good Techniques.

  • @HELLJUMP3R7 Thanks, glad you like it! :)

  • Nohh, íslendingur vel gert =)

  • Man, I hate it when people call these videos a "tutorial" when it is only a stupid video of them showing off what they can do..... Don't get me wrong, it is a great technique, I just wish I could do it!!! -_-

  • @wippy6dippy7boy this one is a little more advanced, mate. Try some easier one and I'm sure you'll get the hang of it! :D

  • @jimmy9258 Oh, cool. Thanks man!! :D

  • Please name the video correctly, THIS IS A TIMELAPSE!!!

  • @coolcam262 Well, you could try pausing the video. :D

  • @jk19studios ... lol

  • it was a bit hard to follow since it's so fast but I'm still going to try it.

  • @potterfan74 I know, its fast eh. :P

But, it's great to here your having a shot at it! :D

  • I Need help with the Moon!!! How do i create the shadow???? Please explain, im new to photoshop =)

  • @Saggmos95 No problem! :)

In the video, I duplicated the moon layer and turned down the brightness. I then added a Gaussian blur, and moved accordingly. Afterwards, I selected the outline of the original moon layer, inverted the selection and deleted. This left a circular shadow around the planet. While this is what I did, this is not the easiest way. I recommend you grab the "burn tool" and play around with that. I find you can get a much more accurate, and controlled shadow. Hope this helps!

  • @jk19studios

Thank you, but i found out how to do =) I Just used clipping mask ;)

But you dont happen to know how to make a nice comet? I Whant to add that to my picture =)

  • @Saggmos95 Hmmmm, I think I made a comet WAY back. Let me have a look on my computer. But basically it consists of creating a rock, either using a tut and creating it in Photoshop, or rendering it out in a 3D modeling program, like Blender 3D, of 3DMAX. Then. Look for a fire tutorial, and apply accordingly. Again, hope this helps! :D

  • @jk19studios

I Think I manage to make a pretty decent one, if you have facebook i can show you it =)

  • @Saggmos95 yeah, sounds good :D just check my channel for a link.

  • I didnt understand a THING! But it looks great!

  • wiiiiii

  • WOW LOL U COLD WE FINNA SEND U TO THEM PLANETS LMAO

  • Wow that was sick and easy lol 5/5

  • @DGizzle4life Hey thanks man, appreciate it! :D

  • awesome job!

  • very good

  • nice tut. You are ninja

  • this is nice dude thx alot and not a tutorial ? it sure is just read and do what he says and you will understand the idea and then you can do your own thing anyway thx alot, very nice

  • @Hacknor Thanks for the comment!

When cartercool90 posted his comment, I had not put up the annotions. But thanks again for the comment!! XD

  • thats not a tutorial, its a speed painting

  • Well yes your sort of right, but if you looked at the description it says "It's not so much a tutorial, but more of an idea on..." I f you would like I could add annotations or make a new video,,,

  • OK! thatd be gr8 :)

  • good but this is not tutorial is too fast

  • it's more of a speed painting

  • nice, what's the name of the song?

  • @LGenesis90 The Asteroid Galaxy Tour - Around the Bend

  • not shure how to ixsplan it

  • how did you get the colers to be exact

  • @DragonAm666 what do you mean by 'exact' colours?

  • I`ve been thinking about doing a gas planet . Now I WILL do a gas planet! Great tutorial.

  • how do you do the shadows

  • I duplicated the planet layer (so that the size was accurate),

then I used levels + brightness and contrast to make the new planet dark. I then simply added a gaussian blur to that layer, and moved it into a good position.

  • Great Technique on the Gas Part of it, Luv'd it!

  • What is the first filter you do? I can't tell and your profile doesn't have any "how to" anywhere..

  • yeah sorry bout that 'how to' bit! i want to put up so much info but it's to much for youtube to handle! the filter is:

    filter>blur>motion blur

    angle=90(if im wrong horizontal)

    amount=999

    hope it helps!

  • Very nice.

  • Sweet

    5 stars mate

  • Very nice!

  • Honestly, this is simply impressive. There's a lot of planet tutorials, but very few gas giant tutorials. 5 stars from me- and I don't normally rate that high. That music was an excellent touch too, good taste.

  • thank you very much!!

this was inspired by a tutorial by 'Dreaming artist' on solarvoyager . com

you should check out my other one! probably not as good but its ok!
