The cornerless viola has an interesting tone... but fails to imitate the cello sound I think. Also, I can't place it now, but I remember hearing somewhere where you used the A string and the tone popped; I think you would do well to avoid the string as you did for most of the piece. And, I very much appreciate artist interpretation, but those ornaments? I'm afraid they killed the piece for me. We're talking French romantic here, the only thing you need to add is emotion to this simple melody.
