@cselvakumar007 Might look boring, but it's quite a feat to be able to pull this off. How did you get Particle Illusion and After Effects to work together? Or was that not the case?

I find Particle Illusion very hard to use, since it has no easy evolution management...

@Firellius I had to import the footage into PI to use it as a background. while i did the particle stuff. Then i exported the particle layed and composited it back with the original in after effects. A lot of messing required though as it didnt stay in same aspect ratio!!!!!

@jojodream12 You can, but I can tell you're inexperienced (not an insult, just what it look like), so just know it takes practice. Video compositing is an art and a science. You mess with parameters a lot, and practice a LOT but it's worth it in the end.

u do get sound u just need to go to output before render and click sound. simple

You can render sound with after effects. In your final render you just need to check the sound box. It's not good for laying down a soundtrack if you need pin point accuracy, but you can do that in premier or soundtrack pro.

yeah the particles were made in PI3 but you can make them dissappear behind the head using masking in after effects

question. How'd you get the particles to disapear and reapear in another place. For example, when the ball went into the guys head, it disapeared, and you made it reapear on the other side. I've been trying to figure it out but I can't find it.

it's okay, I figured it out two ways to do it. You can either go to the active part of the effect and end it at the time u want it to not appear, then make a new one at the frame you want it to appear, or you can use a blocker to block out the part you don't want to appear, and have it block for the frames u dont wanna see the particles. Anyways, thanks for the suggestion :)

What method did you use to export with an alpha channel?

to export from particle illusion there is a tick box that says alpha next to it. It is in the export options - just make sure that that is ticked then it will work.

If you want an alpha channel from after effects export it as a png file. hope that helps?

Great u think about glow on subject, so many people forget about it. Should work on the shadow on the wall or work with no background behind subject also need to adjust sync with actors.Good job!
