First of all, the first thing that breaks with earphones, is the jack, they always break first. It doesn't matter how the cable looks on the outside, when the construction is cheap on the inside, no company has done anything about this so far. Don't buy high priced earphones, they're not worth the money.

Quinn,my bro, I am always skeptical about thse in-ear monitors .... when ever I've listened anthing throgh esp. music it sounds to be a little more in bass .... ami I wrong or just those were cheap with bad quality drivers ? Thnx !

@MrSquareZNation music sounds like it has alot more bass than really because any of the sounds will go straight in your ear and can't escape from there. but it's possible to make lower bass in ear headphones and this is prodably one of them.

Great review Quinn! I was wondering if you could review a certain pair of headphones. Recently my school has been blowing up with these Philips O'Neill Specked ear-buds. I guess since I live in a very outdoorsy area people that buy other O'Neill stuff, buy these. They are fairly cheap coming in at $25 USD. I just got a pair of them, but it really would be good to get a good review from an audiophile, like you. There are very little reviews on them. Thanks!

Hey I was looking at these and at the 5010s as well and was wondering what I should get. I want there to be a good amount of bass up to a lot of bass when I'm doing activities (skiing, biking, etc.) but then want to tone it down to a more equal response when I'm just listening at home. I want to know if these will suffice to my needs or if I should get the higher bass 5010. I just don't want there to be too much bass to where it distorts though. Let me know. Thanks!

He brought them over and wow do they sound different. Please quinn get them off of Amazon. The ones from Amazon sound amazing.

Also, remember the transparent back plate that you reviewed for the iPhone 4/4s?? You can get that directly from China for only 4$, however, if you buy them online from a US store, they cost like 30$ or more.
