I stayed in the forest hills / jackson heights area when I went on holiday to NY. I gotta say, the subway is so much better in NY than in London (where I live)

Really don't london have new trains & Buses.

yeah there are new buses, but they aren't anything special (new trains are coming in 2011-2012) There is no AC on the current trains and they are smaller and slower than the MTA trains. Also the platforms are waaay deeper underground which means it is very hot you end up wasting lots of time and energy just getting to the platform, especially in rush hour.

Well theirs on E Train in Brooklyn. Your best bet is on the F Train.

but, anyway, my parents said that i am still too young to go railfanning because i am only 12 and you are 19

Maybe in a few years, i will be able to, but not until i turn 13, then i will ask again. :(
