yes but u dont have to go on a game lobby all u have to do is click on xbox live and click the depth chart and there it is hope this helps

so to download the update u gotta go enter a quick match then it'll ask u if u want to download the updated rosters?

Yes, but people on IR are basically just put on the bench. It will auto start Cassel, for example, but you could just go to 'Depth Chart' during the game and put Brady in...

Yes the same process can be done for Madden 08 on the 360, and I'm pretty sure Jones is NOT in Madden 08 even with updates, but I think he is in the latest 09 updates.
