For the record...she had pneumonia and bronchitis the week they recorded. She recorded her vocal tracks one take each....no cutting, splicing, no magical spells used. She does have a natural treble to her voice. No AutoTune used here folks. This is one singer that takes pride in the ability to sing with perfect pitch and on tune.

@fezzdog1 +1 except for the cutting bit. We did punch takes in for everyone here & there. That is part of arranging in the studio from the time multitracking went beyond 2 tracks. But yes, she knocked it out of the park for having or not having pneumonia so its pretty amazing that she sounded so good for being so sick. There is a fun bit of footage to prove her sickness with some post-take coughs before they were mixed out if anyone cares to find the video of studio footage on the SignMeTo page

Hey all, Drummer of the band here. We recorded these tracks in three days total, including the initial mix, for hardly any money at all. The actually final mixes/mastering cost a lot more than the actual recording/mixing sessions. Is it perfect? Of course not. As for vocal effects, we have the initial mixes that have hardly any vocal effects at all that demonstrate Amber's abilities. This isn't auto tune city like a lot of modern stuff. Don't believe me? Btw: On the whole effect discussion thing... The thing is, the mix as a whole is lacking some meat. It would benefit from an added low end to sound more like the big records we are used to listening to. The lack of it makes it sound more distant and "weird", which might lead people to thinking there are strange effects being used (on the vocals for example). That doesn't stop me from enjoying the music, which is great!

@mesavox Sure man. I know how it is being a low-budget unsigned band. We do all our recording ourselves, and somewhere along the way I forced myself to learn a bit of engineering/mixing to get that part of the job done myself. What's more important is writing good music and getting it out to the public, and you guys are doing that just fine! Thanks for the comment about Bad Salad.

Well we ALL know Freddy Mercury had no voice because they doubled, phased, delayed, and reverberated his vocal tracks. Who cares about the production, saying she has no voice because of an effect that many greats have used doesn't really say anything but that people can make assumptions from behind a computer screen that they might not make in person.

theres a chorusy/flangery effect on her voice and it sounds completely flat. that would be: compression of death... but then a digital effect, cos its completely thin. same with the rhythm guitars. sounds thin like a POD .. a the drums are compressed to death as well.. the solo guitar is okay 8)

@godspeakfire the only effects are the same one on every other record I've ever heard. Eq, Reverb, Delay, and Harmonies. People assume that effects equate a bad recording because of the likes of... well, we all know who, but go to a show then say she has no voice.
