just to clarify, hakkinen had no need to overtake, as this was a two part race, and he had several second gap from the previous race. So should he have just followed Schumacher until the end of the race, he would have won the whole thing. Hakkinen decided to go for the win however. And Schumi must have also known that winning the race by this margin is not enough. Anyway, Mika was the faster one there, and one could argue, made a mistake so lost the win. What Schumi did nobody can really confirm

I have heard that Michael did apologize to Mika what happend and said to mika that he didn't see him in the mirrors.

Mika believed him when they were face to face speaking, but mika spotted a tv program where he saw michael explaining what happend and that micheal moved to the right but didn't say that he lifted the accelerator and for that actually slowed his pace and they collided. So mika remembers clearly that Michael lied to him when face to face and on purpously did that move...

I think it is obvious what happened, isn't it? The were fighting wheel to wheel for the victory in the last lap. Any "I-did-not-see-him"-excuses in such a situation are nothing but nonsense. For sure Michael was watching his mirrors at that moment. He lifted off for an instant in order to cause Mika to either hit the brakes or go into the armco. the plan worked. Not really perfect sportsmanship.

I don't see big cheating this time: He didn't zig-zaged, only moves to the right (Senna style in Estoril 88) but not that much as Senna did, Mika had a lot of space still. The problem is that Mika was behind Schuey, He moved to star the overtaking faster than Schuey, and as Schuey put his car on the line, Mika surely did a bad combination: accelerated and at the very last moment, so as not to crash Schuey from behind, then braked. The car wasn't parallel, so it spun. What do you see there guys?

I really don't know ,I would like to see a lateral image . On this point of the camera I can't see a very dirty move . Because when shumy open on the right Mika is still behind or at least it seems to be so . But I would be not surprised by these kind of dirty move by schumy ,for example ,watch Brazil 2002 .....it's clear on my point of wiew that schumy did a very crazy move but as usual he had no penalty.

come on guys, F1 is 1 of the Topsports, and the 1 who gets as first over the Finishline is the winner, wether the name is. Cheated or not, you cant blame schummacher for his drivingskills, becauze you all know, that he drove very good, thanks to his skills and his excellent car.

The time where Schummi and Hakkinen competed on the 1st and 2nd place, was 1 of the best moment, so keep them in memories :)

i saw many f1 races and in many races i saw that schumi wasnt fair (1 time he won the champion shitp but he hited the other car (i forgot the name )out of the track and then he won it ...unfair)

or in spain mika was over 55 seconds in front of schumi in the last lap mikas engine had problems and mika couldnt drive the last meters to the end and schumi came and put his arms up to the high and i dont understnad why i made it because i wasnt the real winner sry for my english
