I want to become a neonatologist too! You don't have to go to pre-med to become a neonatologist? Why?

@Mileyfan961 What do you mean you have to take pre- med in college, and then go to med school. pre med course prepare you for med school and med school puts you in the field. Unless you go to a med school like Emory in Ga from the beginning then pre med courses are not necessary because you are in a med school and it will be part of your every day learning.

its best to start looking into it now, and to learn as much as you can , becuase this is something you need to be sure about. a neonatologist also operates on sick neonates , and is usually a around the clock job.. i am so happy you have decided to pursue this career, just stick to and dont let anyone put you down

@Jensoc1 Neonatologists do not operate on sick neonates. This is the job of a pediatric surgeon.
