  • no doubt that this guy is strung out on something

    good video nonetheless

  • with SSD drive it rocks! :)

  • its solid state drive

  • Hello people. can i use a design software on ees PC S101 ? e.g corel Draw or photoshop.

  • I imagine you could, but I'm not 100% certain. You probably could with an external harddrive.

  • Why do you need an external harddrive for corel draw?

  • Anyone know if i can install windows xp on the linux version with 64 ssd ?

  • yes, make sure you have drivers ready for it.

  • Hello, i was wondering if you could play games, (Like world of warcraft) on it? Cause then imma buy it :P

  • Probably not ideal for gaming, there's no graphics card. You could probably run WOW but not smoothly.

  • Yes, there is one but its INTEGRATED... it can't run without a gfx card...

  • good review disapointing that it has no 3g card

  • can you watch movies with w/o any prob? (.avi files)

  • Absolutely no problems.

  • you can watch most stuff that's available on the internet but stay away from 720p videos or high quality .mkv vids.

  • Nice reviewing, thanks!

  • I think the offer is 20GB of online storage btw. Agree on the built in 3G and LAN but cost is already up in order to get the transition to the corporate market with the better finish quality than the 900 & 1000 series.

Incidentally, I think it's unfair to dub the Linux version geek only; the installed version of Xandros is highly usable for the Netbook niche, comes with the same version of StarOffice & Firefox for browsing.

    Great review nonetheless! :)

  • where can u buy the asus s101 in london ????

  • Misco and Amazon sell this machine, but you'll have to order online.

  • were did you buy yours?? i live in england as well.

    Ian

  • Hi Ian,

I'm actually an IT journalist, so I got my review sample directly from ASUS. Are you having trouble purchasing one?

  • i'd imagine so, but price is MY determining factor <$400

  • Sadly, this machine is pricey Coleisaacs
