D probably has parents arrested when students complain that mommy and daddy yelled at them! Obviously D's mommy and daddy should have yelled at him around once in awhile. Maybe he would have grown a pair during puberty and not be such a lame assed adult.

I dislike that the officer compelled the defendant to sign a document without reading it. That is actually illegal. On the other side, I think the defendant was clearly wrong to file a complaint as he did.

He should have filed a complaint for being compelled to sign a legal document without being allowed to read it. He was told he would go to jail if he took the time to read the document. That is illegal in the United States.

I think JJ was clearly wrong! She didn't give the defendant to prove that the officer was using temper by fast forwarding through the time when he WAS angry. JJ get the D's name right instead of having ten variations of it throughout the show. PS - I love JJ and I think she's really talented, but she does have her flaws too :(

@lachi1973 thats less than $1,000 a year. It stays on his record for 7 years. If he misses a promotion because of this, he will lose a lot more in wages than $5,000 in 7 years. Maybe he wouldnt get the promotion, but, maybe he would have.

I hate dirty cops just as much as anyone else, but from what we can see in this case, this officer did everything by the book, and if this idiotic plaintiff was not doing 22 miles over the limit and refusing to stop when told so, none of this would have happened.

to those that clearly HAVE no kind of profession of any kind and clearly abuse the welfare system yes it would seem that their ARE bad undeserving law enforcement out there that need punishment. but you obviously didn't have a happy child hood and do everything you can like this highschool shrink to try and use fraud as a career. poor career choice. bad move all around. this police officer didn't get enough if you ask me for taking crap like that. inzunza needs his car impounded.

I repeat myself (from part 1 of this case) The School Psychologist tried to use Psychology tricks , to get the Officer upset , he failed and decided to hurt him anyway BECAUSE he didn't fall into the trap .... He is a dork , a stupid moron and I as a parent would not trust my child's mental health in his hands . PERIOD !

But, I am NOT trying to defend the Ds innacuracies, he may have complained just a little to late, but the officer was really rude and threatening him. All he said was that the color was wrong, and right away he threated to put him in jail. The D wasnt impolite or raised his voice for a SINGLE mili second.

The color of the car on a ticket doesn't matter you can discuss that on your court date. This guy wasn't Rodney King-d or anything. If he was so distraught then he would have gone to file a complaint right away! He works in a school he is off weekends and he has sick day He is just bitchy.

I understand what you mean. It may have sounded that I was defending the D, but I agree that he should've filed the complaint way before, but he waited until he got convicted and got frustrated, no QUESTION about that. So I have no probel with the lawsuit ITSELF.

But the officer was very quick in threatening the D, and all he asked was to change the color, POLITELY. Part of being an officer is to deal with people and provide descriptions, and he failed both in my book. IMO.

@missqueeniec I don't mind a rude cop to a point, but when they threaten arrest under the guise of some bogus trumped up charge then they should be held accountable. The cop clearly abuses the badge. Most traffic cops are fairly dim witted and to assume this cop was dealing with fuckwads all day is laughable. This cop most likely spends his day writing citations to people doing 10 or less over the spd limit.

I hope the P never gets promoted. Imagine if he screws up in describing some obvious suspects or screws up describing some vehicles. Ultimately, citizens rely on him for these things. Also, in the recording, the D was very polite, the P was forcing him to sign something that wasnt right and threatened him. I would also resist signing false information.After all, law is law.

I think JJ was a little BIASED on this one. The D was right, he needed to find a safe place to stop. A parking lot is perfect I dont see why the P would have a problem with that. Also as an officer of the law, providing descriptions is a major aspect of the job. Theres a BIG enough difference between the colors, he just got got mad that the P corrected him and got all macho. Vision IS a requirement to be a police officer also. Just because he is a police officer doesnt mean his always right.

I think the D was wrong for filing the report, but if you listen to the recording the officer was very unfriendly to him. The D did not raise his voice on the recording, only the officer sounded rude.

@kalmanizer The only hot-head was the cop. Did you not hear the recording? The cop repeatedly threatening the guy to sign the ticket. The cop was a douchebag and the D was hardly a hot-head outside the court. He wasn't happy, but he was hardly yelling and screaming. What a ridiculous comment.

@bawniey : You are wrong . The Officer kept asking the driver to comply to a regulation and bringing to his attention that he could argue any disagreement in court . The driver was purposefully trying to distract him , to get him angry and he FAILED ! I am in a parallel mental health profession and I know what tricks we can use when we want to 'fish' a response .... It's an OLD TRICK !
