I suggest u use a hair blower. Just use a round brush and while ur brushing it put the hair blower over it basically on top and doing it while using the round brush. Keep the hair blower like right on top of the brush/hair. Works best with cropped hair or hair with lots of short layers. Only do the 1st/top layers. And then just straighten the ends where it's frizzy. And then add some leave-on conditioner. No teasing nor hairspray which can damage ur hair. =] this still looks good though

I tried it and it doesn't take long at all. It works and is easy. You can even try teasing before putting hairspray. I do it and then spray afterward. My hair teases easily though. It gives great volume.....if you have thick Asian hair, it might be harder....I"m Asian but my hair isn't the STRAIGHT kind.

(this method is greaaaaaaat!) for EXTRA volume tease lots of layers in the back/around the crown area. ONLY SMOOTH the TOP layer of hair. then the smooth hair can sit on top of the teased hair.

I'm a professional hairstylist. Good job teasing. However, it would be a ideal to start your teased layers in the back going forward. you have to build a base from the bottom up, kind of like building a house. you can get 100x more volume this way. i would start at the crown of the head and move up...that way when you reach the front, you can have a smoother effect with bigger volume on the crown. just a suggestion. :)
