  • Can anybody tell me when this recording was released?

  • today i 've readen that is one of the most selfbiography pieces of the history of music. i confirm...

  • Profound performance, thanks for putting it up. I heard the Borodin Quartet perform this the first time in Los Angeles in 1999. By then Aharonian and Naidin replaced Kopelman and Shebalin but the performance was equally memorable. I heard them again last Sunday, this time without Berlinsky, and the playing was equally perfect but something was missing. Or perhaps i had a bad night!

  • this is not lacking at all in my opinion... it is GREAT! i love the emotion in it!

  • very lacking.. its WAY too nice. this is supposed to be mind splitting. very good intonation tho :)

  • @kaminskiian where are your ears located?? this is one of the most agressive and intense performances of this quartet if not THE most.

  • there's no way it could be lacking power!

  • This interpretation seems to be lacking a bit of power during the second movement.

  • What he said
