Also, scallop dredging a bottom that is subject to high levels of natural disturbance and that has been historically fished has been shown in fact proven to increase productivity. I would have no problem referring you to the associated research publications if you actually want some knowledge about this,

Great vid, I worked on a scallop boat in the North sea for 3 years but we used smaller dredges than this one, we had 6 a side , we didnt catch as much scallops in 1 tow either- thats a belter o a tow :)

Saw a comment that mentioned bycatch, do you see any bycatch, NO ! straight scallops and how is dredging tearing up straight sand on the ocean floor ? Yes this will eventually be banned along with every other commercial fishing practice, not by overfishing but by special interest groups and possibly data that is solely backed by estimations and predictions, not by facts. !!!
