Fuck the movie is about the belief of fucking christmas it isn't about religion. The fact that people ARE talking about religion here offends me when it wasn't about god. Don't turn it into that. Christmas shouldn't be about that shit. It's about the universal idea that should remain untainted by a specific religion. It's about believing in people and the good in everyone's hearts. It's believing in the goodness within yourself. Unconditional blind love that comes from faith in love itself.
Evergreen trees were a symbol of which Germans used to remind them of the coming plants that would be back. Santa Clause's suit is full of Pagan lore. From all of this i realised that our Christmas that we all know is just the Disneyificated version
@eatsleephockey94 - wow... I didn't know that. I've been planning to do a history report on Christmas as a writing assignment: this is thus quite interesting to me.
@superhuman295 I'm going to have to disagree with you there. The Snowman is a classic and forever will be. The Polar Express is new and while I do like it, I think The Snowman has the best and most beautiful songs in it.
i LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE this!!! :3 we might play this in band (im in eighth grade. tenor sax) and im like YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
The soundtrack is really good, and the movie have a fantastic feeling! But they could have choosed another loco, it´s a poor freight loco... Racing down the hills at what? 125 mph?!?!=)
MIDI's suck. Please remove this youtube file before people start assuming that this is the real score. Why did you waste your time making a MIDI of this? You ruined the score for all of us now.
I have been very fortunate. I have read this book to evey single student at Grant Elementary for the past 12 years. 1 class room at a time. Takes 2 days to complete. From Kindergarten to 5th grade they all sit and listen to every word. It is an awesome book and movie.
@15jjc tell me about it,believe in god offcourse but not santa and elves and north pole, whoever believes in santa and elves in the north pole is ridicolous, its a nice fictional story i love it, but its not tre at all, people went to the north pole with ships, there is noting, there are cammeras and sattelites there,in fact there is actually no need to even say this, its a fact, tis whole christmas bussiness is just a fairty tale
@ysoftballaddict Agree... im 13 and i dont want to hear anything about thats theres no santa... Ill allways make the chrismass tree... and tell my kids that parents tell the kids that theres no santa just to grow up and forget that stupid thing!!!! (THATS NOT STUPID AT ALL)
Oh my god I just watced that before going on computer and i was like this song reminds me of a song. I started humming this song in my head and was like Polar Express!!!
@JosueM7 - one reason I love The Polar Express is because I totally see myself in the position of the main character, and God in the position of Santa. Sometimes, no matter how much proof we have ('elves, reindeer,' etc.), we still doubt, or feel like doubting; and that's where faith and trust come in. Those two are things that separate Christianity from so many other beliefs - our defining task is to believe, and trust. Thank God for not being someone made up of laws and definite statements :)
@caliginousweirm - I'd like to be the one at the throttle of that 2-8-4 Berkshire, which is modeled after an old Pere Marquette locomotive, aptly numbered 1225.
