It really doesn't matter what fret the capo is on. You don't really even need a capo as long as the guitar part fits the key you're going to be singing in. :D

@fwahoovaghad If you don't have a capo put a wooden pencil across your guitar and wrap rubber bands around it to make it taught. It's a pain but that's what I used to do before I got mine. By the way, you can get capos at Target for 10 dollars (they aren't really the best, I've had four and two of them were horrible, one of them broke, and they kind of made my strings sound muffled) Also, a capo is the equivalent of barring a cord, it makes the key higher so all voice ranges can sing.
