In all honesty, if you think that is the case then you have no understanding of the evolution of physics or physics in general. Physicists over 100 years ago could tell you that something rotating in the way that it was while in the presence of an atmosphere and not a vacuum will curve. What you're basically saying is that we didn't even know why a curveball works until now. They did not have to redefine anything

"Mathematically impossible" guy is an idiot. It's only mathematically impossible if you impose unrealistic restrictions on it like, I don't know, say that it has to travel in a straight line. If it was mathematically impossible, it would mean it's impossible under our current physics, which it clearly is not.
