This song allways makes me cry, mahoganybasswood is not the only one, its freaking sad, and it holds a good story in it.

If all you can do to help your loved one is to end the pain for them, are you then willing to take the responsibility? Takes a strong man/woman to do it, and take an even stronger person to keep on going afterwards.

There are thoose out there who have done this, and even though most have judged them, I wont, and never will. Cause really, how can you judge someone for loving?

I've always loved this song. I tried to request it for the radio once when I was a kid, but they wouldn't play it for me. :-( They played "That's The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia," which is also a very good song.

@123DHfan It's about a man who went to prison for the death of his wife. There was an accident and she became brain dead and he pulled the plug. The son thought he had just killed his mother..until later in life he found out the truth and went to the prison and saw his dad and let him know he understood.

@123DHfan He pulled the plug unlawfully. Meaning he didn't sign for it to be done..so it was considered murder. He couldn't stand to see his wife suffer anymore so he took it into his own hands and more or less turned her life support off without the knowledge of anyone.

ok the song is about a guy (bobby) who killed his wife because she was suffering from a terminal illness that brought her great pain. since he killed her he was arested and bobby's son didnt kno wat was goin on at his young age so he was mad at his father. when the boy grew up and had a love of his own he understood wat his father did and why he did it. so he went to visit his father and told him he forgavehim and that he missed him an loved him.. such a great song

Bobby(mamas husband) took her life, their son didn't understand why at the time, he wished his father dead for killing his mama who was suffering, as the boy got older he finally understood why his father (Bobby) did it.
