Loved the real, giant fruit bat. A change from the flappy flappy rubber variety, much loved of the old vampire movies. Still, it kinda looks out of place here, like it's waiting for Rolf Harris to walk in an pack it into a rescue basket! Ha ha. Loved the graveyard feeding scene. The grunting and feeding, quite well done for the time, circa 78, BBC. Nice!
Louis Jourdan is Dracula in this production. Had to check imdb to see if he was still alive - he is; he's 90 now and seems to have retired in the early 90s. Worked for the French Resistance during the war! Go Louis!

Was Dracula played here by (I have gone brain dead on the actor's name... he is French)?
That was shown in the states on our PBS channel, probably decades ago,and I think it was the best one.
Last time I checked (not recently) it was not available on DVD.
