those are facts, even northern africans made fun of talians during ww2, also you are too loud, you like your momies too much (or their pussy), dont shower regulary (you just put more aftershave), very short.
@BerettaModello38 Did Italy occuppied parts of Croatia and Slovenia, did Italy persecuted Croats and Slovenes, did Italy imprison and kill Croats and Slovenes opposing the occuppation and terror of the fascist state? Yes they did.
And second did Tito kill thousnads of Croats, Slovenes, Bosnians and Serbs after the war....even his fellow Partisans who opposed his autocratic ideas? Yes he did. Now all of a sudden Italians are something special. Get a grip dumbass...
@BerettaModello38 Tito killed Italians because of ideological differences as well as Italian population openly supported the fascist occuppation and terror since 1920s. Again I do no condone it but you are not telling the whole truth, you are in denial....but at the end of the day that is your problem not mine. ;)
@BerettaModello38 Tito didnt gave to Croats anything. Istrian Partisans were autonomous (even acknoweldged by a moron like you) and they by themselves published a declaration that they want to join Croatia (not Yugoslavia but Croatia) after the war which was acceppted by the Allies after the war and Istria went to Yugoslavia and added to the Croatian federal republic as request by the Istrian Partisans.
@BerettaModello38 Thats the west coast of Istria. There is no northern coast of istria as Istria is connected to the mainland at the North....rofl....
@BerettaModello38 Dear idiot, not only Italians were killed and thrown aside as garbage. Thousnads of Croatian, Slovene, Bosnian and Serbian anticommunist had the same fate. The number of executed and exiled Croats from communist Yugoslavia after WW2 is much larger than the exiled or killed Italians. But it doesnt matter, what matters is that they were criminals. And you are an idiot who cannot comrephand these facts. Chauvinist fool...
@BerettaModello38 1/3 of the 300-350k people were anti-communist Croats and Slovenes. Not to mention some estimates numbering almost 100k Croats massacred at Bleiburg and thousands more killed in the so-called "Krizni Put" (Way of the Crosses) where thousands were taken on miles long death walks....
@BerettaModello38 Bull-shit. Austrians did anything to weaken Croatian movements, even banned Croatian names and symbols which forced leading figures to use to supposed Illyrian name instead. They also created Croatian-Serbian conflict which culminated in 20th century. And now you claimed they led some sort of Croatization...that is just hilarious. Maybe only in your SciFi alternative universe perhaps...
@BerettaModello38 You dumbass I am an anti-communist. But unlike you I am not a nationalistic chauvinist which tries to spin the facts as you see fit. What you do is trying to present the communist as some Croatia-Slovenian-South Slavic anti-Italian movement which only persecuted the "poor" Italians while everyone else had milk and honey flowing in streams. My family personally suffered under communist rule and I have family members murdered and imprisoned by the communists you dumbass....
@BerettaModello38 Nothing is rewritten. Those are transcripts of the original document which is completely confirmed to be an authentic document. And it shows you are full of shit and ignorrant when it comes to any sort of historical argument. Croats were present in Istria long before 16th century as you claimed in your gibberish ignorrant rant earlier.
@BerettaModello38 The Partisan movement in Istria was alive and in full formation long before Tito officially included them and even longer before they were under his command or any sort of control.
@BerettaModello38 Istria was already under full control of Istrian Partisan before that and you yourself wrote "they were autonomous". In other words keep shating in your own mouth. :))
@BerettaModello38 You are a moron... Croatian continental cusine is middle-European Austria/Hungary influenced. It has nothing to do with Turks you dumbass. I wont even comment your diarrhea on the suppsed "culturocide"...
@BerettaModello38 Because it is a popular food you dumbass. The same way Pizza, McDonalds or Chinese food spread as well. Can you comprehand that or you are complete moron who cannot grasp certains obvious facts?
@BerettaModello38 No he didnt. Istrian Partisans were autonomous, local and homegrown. Tito had no authority there until the very end or after the war except as an ideal and role model.
@BerettaModello38 Thank you for confirmed what I said. Istrian Partisans were homegrown and local, included under Tito's command only at the very end of the war and included completely under his command after the war by the proclaimation of the Istrian Partisans themselves.
@BerettaModello38 He killed Croatian, Slovenian and Serbian Partisans as well after the war as many who joined Partisans were not communist but joined them due to lack any other resistance against Italian and German occupation with help of local quislings. There were no exceptions wheter you were Italian or anything else if you opposed the criminal communist regime. The fact you are trying to spin this as some anti-italian bs on their part is pathetic...
@BerettaModello38 Partisan uprising in Istria wasnt imported...it was homegrown. Stop writing bs... And this surname issue....if I were to write all the Croatian and Slovenian surnames italianized I would have to make 25 posts in row so please spare me...
@BerettaModello38 Tell me do you know how many Croats were murdered and also ended up in Foibe or in some shallow grave by the road after the war? Their only "sin" being that they were anti-communist? I personally have family members that were taken and murdered somwhere that even today 2 generations removed I dont know where they graves are and probably never will....
@BerettaModello38 That is simply not true. You should try to learn history books with understanding and try not skip certain parts that dont suit you. The forced Italianization, burning of schools, public socities, enforcing Italian langauge, exile and imprisonment of distinguished Croatian and Slovenian people to Sardinia, etc, etc started in 1920s. And btw. of the mentioned number of exiled "Italians" you should not forget that 1/3 of that number were anti-communist Croats and Slovenes.
@BerettaModello38 "Istarski Razvod" is a collection of documents written since early as 1275...perhaps even earlier and collected into one in 1325. Its authenticity isnt in question. And I am showing your that your claim how Croats came in Istria in 16th century is wrong as Croats were present there at least 2-3 centuries earlier.
@BerettaModello38 And btw. Cevapi has nothing to do with continental or any other part of Croatia. It is imported food since Turkish occupation. Due to the fact its tasty, cheap and easily prepared it spread all around. Same as hamburgers, sandwich stands, pizza....you name it.
@BerettaModello38 Yes and until WW2 and even later there was no McDonalds or Pizzerias in almost every town in the world yet today they are all over the world. Your point is?
@BerettaModello38 Tito didnt liberate Istria. For the third time - Istrian Partisans were autonmous and were added to Tito's army at the very end of the war. Tito never directly commanded any1 in Istria nor he was there until after the war.
And btw. every goddamn restauran in Croatia most definately has Cevapi on their menu....except perhaps specialized restaurants of "posh" places where the "jet set" eats. Damn you are dumb...
@BerettaModello38 Actually it is a form of kebab you dumbass. There is a difference between the Turkish kebab and the one present in ex-Yugoslavian countries. And I wonder did you walk around and ask for every owner who sells kebab's (cevapi) and check if they are Bosnian Muslims...lol
The fact you resort to ad hominem remarks and mention my nickname which is in fact a spoof of retards like yourself shows you have shit for brains...
@BerettaModello38 Again Tito had nothing to do with Istria. The Partisans in Istria and Trieste area were autonomous and joined willingly Tito's Yugoslavia after the war.
@BerettaModello38 Why cant I compare? Are Italians more worth than any other people? Arent they human beings as anyone else? Tito was a communist, he couldnt care if one was Italian, Zimbwabwean or Bushman as long he or she was a communist. Everyone else no matter their nationality was an enemy and was eliminated. And you dumbass Istria wasnt liberated by Tito, Istrian Partisans were autonomous from his command. You have shit for brains...
@BerettaModello38 Italians were majority only on the western to south-western coastal parts and cities. Inward Istria all the way to the east was in majority Croatian as long as we know it....meaning since first published census'
@BerettaModello38 There were never croatization of Italian surnames only italizanization of Croatian and Slovenian surnames. Its a fact. And the Italian Fascists used Foibe for their crimes long before Partisans came and served them with a cold dish called revenge...not that I condone it, but you as any other nationalistic chauvinist mention things that suit your agenda. History isnt selective as you are.
@BerettaModello38 Tito did no such thing, Italians left themselves because they didnt want to live in a communist country. Plus they knew that many of the collaborators and their families will have to answer for what they did and pay for their crimes. And my friend the Croats were present in Istria since at least 10-11th century...even earlier. One of the oldest documents in Croatian history was written in Istria called "Istarski Razvod" written as early as 1275.
@BerettaModello38 Actually they did. They either forced people out, hauled them on concentration camps (first concentration camps in Europe were on Dalmatian coast by Italian Fascists) or they imposed Italian language in schools, public life and even forced people to "italianize" their names, And Habsburgs forced croatization? LOL...that must be the dumbest thing yet...
@BerettaModello38 Tito couldnt care less if they were Italian, Croatian or Zimbabwean...he was interested in retaining power. Anyone who didnt submit to him ended up in a shallow grave....including thousands of supposedly "his" Croats.
@BerettaModello38 I am sure you would like I get down to your level (I would have to really really low) but I will not. Let me just tell you that it doesnt matter how much you spin the facts or inflate the number or victims (which shows extreme disrespect for the victims themselves) it wont make it the truth. History is written, deal with it.
@BerettaModello38 The Istrian people joined "en masse" with the Partisans and spoke against the Italian fascist regime and their collaborators. Now go and cry me a river...
@BerettaModello38 I am sorry to tell you this but you are a uneducated bigot. Kebabs (Cevapi) are popular all over ex-Yugoslavia because they are tasty, quick to made and fairly cheap. Its basically a ex-Yugo fast food type of food. It has nothing to do with Bosniaks or their residence. As for ice cream shops Ive seen as much as those in Italy and Spain as in Istria or anywhere on the Croatian coast....you know summer/holiday = ice cream. Dumbass...
I'm sorry to tell you Croatians but Istria is originally Italy's, most of the habitants are Croatian so the story can go on either side. I don't know enough but from what I know it actually belong to Italy.
@Romanianloop Istria was Italian for about only 20+ years and that was pure occupation since no one asked the local population what they want, ok? Austria has more right to claim Istria than any other country if we were to follow the ridiculous claims like this. In fact by such logic everyone in Europe would have a claim on part of other countries territories. Good luck with that = WW3.
treba minirat učku i odvojit se od svih seronja!! istria= rebubblica, neanche italiana , niti hrvatska, niti slovenska (to najmanje) INDIPENDENT ISTRIA !!!!!
I'll never stop saying that we must stop the hate between the nationalities. I do believe that future can be something different, I'd like to see italians, croatians and slovenians all working together for the same land, sharing it as brothers and with no more hateful episodes. I'd like to see the rebirth of the Us Fiumana football team and seeing it joining the italian leagues, but I'd also like to see a team from Trieste playing in Slovenia. No more hate, united we'll stand.
Prelepa pokrajina Istra, ki je bila v zgodovini tudi slovenska dežela. Po letu 1945 so si jo nasilno prisvojili komunistični hrvaški nacionalisti kot je Bakarič in ostala kompanija rdečih ustašev.
May I ask what does Italian roots means? Only during Vienna congress Metternich spoke about Italy as a "Mere geografical expression", Southern organised criminality found their roots on indipendentistic moviments, the North hates the South and the other way around, my Italian grandfa, with Istrian roots defined himself as an Austrian....Btw if you really like Istria let it administer it but Croatia, I'm totally sure it would be better than that grotesque country which is Italy.
@fairytaleism Yes we are grottesque , you know , we dosen t have a history based on genocides and crimes , but i m sure that Croatia with his 18 years of glorius history will be a better solution for those lands obtained with a genocide. You know the funny fact is that i will be forced to pay this crime organization called Croatia , because when you will join in this "EU" my country will pay u( the smart guys) just like we are doing with the your slovenian bro
Istria should be a region shared and administrated by italians, slovenians and croatians, it should be a trasure of all these three countries. I reject hate, i respect croatians and slovenians, but this would be a fantastic solution.
@reading70 yes I think you're right. Even though Italians would rather have it in Italy as it was first Italian, the best way its just to divide the land, Italians and Croatians. I don't know about Slovenes though. They haven't occupied it for as long as Italy and Croatia did.
@KarelYalek it's croatian land today only for the simple fact that once you ethnically cleansed Istria fiume and zara of italians from 1946 to 1956 you brought new people from slavonija , hercegovina etc to resettle those lands. You did the same thing in Bosnia in 1993-94 after you cleansed parts of hercegovina including west mostar of muslims. Just because there are croats in Sarajevo that does not mean it's croatia.
@VALDIGNE Croats were majority in Istria since the earliest census' made by the Austria-Hungary. It was fascist Italy who tried to colonize these parts, italianize slavic population by forcing them to change names and use only Italian in schools and in all other public affairs.
@retardinho what history did you study ? perhaps in Pavelic or Tito books ? or perhaps you didn't study at all. Just because Mussolini tried to colonize those places that does not mean Istria Fiume and Zara were not already culturally and lingustically romanic territories. During most the period of the middle age half of Istrian population was decimated by the plague, the venetians then allowed refugees from Bosnia ( escaping from the Ottoman empire ) to settle in Istria.
@VALDIGNE Oh I see...so why did he try to colonize them? Why did the Fascist Italy impose the Italian language, started brining in Italians from Italy, etc, etc? Hilarious....
@retardinho because as any totalitation regime mussolini and the fascists regime they were fucking narrow- minded idiots and they came to colonize Istria Fiume and Zara just like they wsent to colonize Libia Ethiopia Eritrea and Somalia without understanding they didn't need to italianize territories were people already considered themselves italians . The reason why we lost these places is because we attacked Yugoslavia and we lost the war, we simply paid for the choices of our leaders.
@retardinho what happened to the real Istriani Fiumani and Zaratini ( no matter what their ethnic group was ) was simply ethnic cleansing and many cases executions ( foibe ). Once Tito expelled most of the original people he then replaced them with croats and jugoslavs from different parts , and that's why today these places belong to Croatia. History will be repeated in the 90's when croats ethnically cleansed serbs from Kraijna and the muslims from central Bosnia and Hercegovina.
@VALDIGNE Fiume or Rijeka had 50-50% Croat-Italian mixed population even during the Italian Fascist rule when Italy was into heavy colonization of this city with Italians from Italy. Same goes for Zara-Zadar. The people living there intermarried and mixed with each other. Those who collaborated and supported fascist and other nazi-fascist regimes in the region fled as they knew the rest (majority) of the population will not tolerate their presence after all they done to them.
@retardinho First of all Zara was the most italian town of all the easter borders also because it was far away from the motherland that's why the zaratini felt close to Italy, despite the fact there were consistent italian minorities in Spalato and Trau'/Trogir. Tito liquidated Zara fast simply because the anglo americans bombed the town causing heavy casualties and completely destroyed it causing the exodus of 90% of the original population .
@VALDIGNE The reason why Zara was heavily bombed by the allies is because Tito made them believe that it was a strategic axis bridge into the balkan peninsula. In other words the anglo americans ethnically cleansed Zara for Tito ( pratically a gift )
@VALDIGNE Oh the joys of conspiracy theory...didnt it occur to you that perhaps they bombed them because Zadar was a startegic port of a Axis force? No it must be a conspiracy theory...lulz...
@VALDIGNE Zadar was a very small town at that time btw. It had at most 12-15k people. Which is btw. the same number of Italians (15-20k) who lived in the entire Austro-Hungarian 'Kingdom of Dalmatia'. Your post is totally besides the point. The fact is Dalmatia and Istria had Croatian majority long before Italian national identity was born and Italy emerging as a nation state. And Croats and Croatian national identity was present in these regions since 6-7th century.
@VALDIGNE And 1990's events have nothing to do with Fascist Italy crimes they committed on the local population in WW2 they were never held accountable. But lets just say you are uninformed and extremely assertive of things you know nothing about or have biased POV for whatever reason that is known only to you.
These pictures reminds me how proud i'm to have croatian blood in my vains. I'll am and be for ever more Croat than Dutch. Cause my heart lays on the Dalmatic land. Volim Te Hrvatska. Lijepa Nasa Domovino <3
Zavájk mi živíla ovako lipa i sjajna. San si svakega! Ni do tebe, naše perle Jadrana!

Don't forget when Mussolini tried to cleanse anyone who spoke Croatian. Forced Croats to change their last names and removed ( or at least try to ) all Croatian Culture. Thanks for stabbing us in the back in World war 2 and 50 years later during the Yugoslavian war. Thanks for "supporting" us your catholic neighbors. You italians have no faith, you are empty jealous people. Why don't you go down to Ethiopia or Libya and tell them you want their land back. Until then GET LOST

The only thing i know is that many people had to leave everything they had got there in Istria, surely mussolini was wrong because he was a killer of our country but please..please don't say that Istria isn't italian...it's simply obivious.
I have to say it. I am from Istra. My family has lived there for 700 years. They have always spoken Croatian. The foibe was committed by the communists, So your gripe should be with the Serbs. 25 years of occupation doesn't give you infinite right to a region or territory. If you are planning to reply just answer me one question. Do you love Italy?
@xaviqaz Good for them. I am talking about the Italians who came in 1919, who forcefully italianized Croats. They were fascists, right? And the foibe massacre was commited by tito a yugo-communist, correct? The fact is, only the Croatians have been civil in Istra. Sadly the anti croats wont admit it. Nor will they admit Istra was, is and always will be Croatian.
@MR917621 It means that there was plurality and diversity for centuries. Nation states defined by ethnia or language is part of the modern totalitarian ideologies.
@xaviqaz Your reply has nothing to do with our back and forth. I am starting to think that you are a clueless liberal. Don't worry about Croatia. Focus on your dear italy and her falling fast economy.
@MR917621 You are talking about facts that happened in the 20th, a century defined by totalitarian ideologies. And i responded that many non-croatian people lived in Istria for centuries and coexisted peacefully. Switzerland is an old country that shows that different ethnias can live in the same state. Most of the rest of Europe borders are defined by world wars and genocides.
@xaviqaz Switzerland is a rare exception. However they too are having some problems today. The best way for nations to go, is to solidify their current borders, and limit immigration and foreign invasion. Or else no nation will have any individual identity.
@MR917621 Switzerland is one of the oldest countries in Europe. They have survived wars, empires and tyrants thanks to their respect of local sovereignty and popular militia. Switzerland should be the example, not the exception, as opposed to ethnic nationalism. Indentity is local or is not identity. And must be defended locally.
@MR917621 mussolini made a big mistake in trying to colonize lands that were always venetians. Today you have Istria Fiume and Zara just for the simple fact that mussolini invaded Yugoslavia and lost the war.
@MR917621 Italian are always saying bullshit about Istra...they think that Venetian Istra=Italian Istra...but they are wrong...when there was the Venetian republic, Istrian people lived in peace under the flag of Saint Mark and they were Croatians,Venetians and Slovenians...Italians has no right to talk about Istra and they have to stop to call us Italian , teach us their language and their culture and steal our money...
@Ltbpd Yes, Venetian Istra was cultured and paceful. At the same time, only as part of Croatia has Istra truly been able to be free. Even if it means letting anti Croats like IDS ban Thompson From the Arena in a "democracy". Like a mother to a child, Croatia is to Istra. Let that be known with full respect. For it is something that can not be denied. It is truth. I agree 100% about Italians. All the best to you,
@MR917621 25 years of occupation ? What are u saying??? Istria has always been roman and venetian, bloody austrian introduced balcanic people in order to destroy italian identity. Not a brick was laid by croatians in Istria. Italians have always been the elite, the intellectuals, the bourgeoisie, u were just peasant eaten up with jaoulosy against italians. Your attempt to rewrite the history is utterly ridicolous !!!
@Caleidus Like I wrote. 700 years. They NEVER spoke Italian. Only Croatian. Far from a peasant. I am not jealous of anyone. It is time for you Italo facists to move on. Istra is where she belongs. A part of Croatia. The ancient Croatian alphabet, the glagojica has been marked in Istra for over a 1000 years. Go tell Libya and Ethiopia that they belong to Italy. Then come back to me. Instead of bickering about something you have nothing to do with. Why don't you try to reject the EU.
@MR917621 In the coast towns of Istria and Dalmazia u were never the dominant ethnicity or culture. The italian culture was so predominant in that places that even the official magazine of the nationalist croates was written in italian at the beginning of the century. When I read croatian touristic guide stating that people or monuments belong to croatian culture just because u've had add an -ic to the correspective italian name I start laughing. None is able to mistyfy history as u !!
@Caleidus Keep laughing and living in the past. Go talk to Libians and Ethiopians and tell them their countries belong to you. While you laugh, Italy is dissapearing. Soon Lampedusa will be Tunisian. Focus your energy there.
@Caleidus The fact they spoke and wrote in Italian can mean only that they were bilingual and cosmopolitan not that they were Italians. The fact you are writing in English here does not make you an Englishman now does it?
@retardinho you are so dumb , the fact they speak and write italian is because those people despite the fact Tito tried to forcibly slavicide ( just like mussolini tried to italiniaze everything and everybody without understanding that those people didn't need to be colonized like the african colonies ) is because Istria and Zara were secularly romans and then venetians. Believe me I still have family in Istria ( real istriani) and they do not cosinder themselves croats at all.
@VALDIGNE Tito couldnt do anything of the sort because the people who felt as Italians started moving out en masse due to fact they didnt wanted to live in a communist country and also because they were afraid they will be processed because of their support for the criminal fascist regime. This happened even before the country (Yugoslavia) started even functioning as a real sovereign state. You are scribbling trash.
@retardinho as I thought you do not know anything about the history of Istria, first of all not all italians were fascists majority weren't. Second, it was an italian battalion Pino Budicin ( a military unit of the Yugoslav Liberation Army ) who liberated Istria and Fiume from the nazi fascist. Third , yes many left because didn't want to live in a communist country but most left because of fear being excuted or thrown into a foiba.
@VALDIGNE "...because of fear being excuted or thrown into a foiba."
Due to their collaboration with fascist Italy regime and quisling Ustashe regime. It wasnt because they were Italians but because they were fascists. Tito executed thousands of Croats as well based only on the assumption they were collaborators. But you wouldnt care about that because you are not interesting in historical facts...you are interested in smearing Croats no matter of their political affilition in any period.
@retardinho that is not true at all , I have many croat friends and I love them dearly and for your information I was in Croatia during the war 91-95 and I always supported your independence despite the fact you betrayed the muslims in Bosnia.
@VALDIGNE Hmm...this is the second time you mention Bosnia. What do you mean betrayed? Croatia gave shelter for over 500k Bosniaks, Croatia helped Bosnia both with weapons and gas, Croatia was Bosnia's ally and was the first country to recognize it as independant country. If you refer to the idiotic conflict between 1993-1994 by a bunch of idiots on both sides you are very wrong my friend. Thanks to Croatia Bosnia-Herzegovina is now a sovereign state due to Dayton Agreement.
@retardinho Brate, yes Croatia took many Bosniaks refugees but do not forget Tudzman betrayed Alija and wanted to make a pact with Milosevic to split BiH between themselves by cutting out the muslims, do not forget that this betrayal cost Bosnians thousands of more lifes. Do not forget the massacres such as Ahmici do not forget the clashes between the hvo and armija rbih. I am italian with istrian originins but I love BiH more than anything and for your info BiH fought for his sovreignity.
@VALDIGNE LOL...mate you write shite again. If Tudjman wanted to divide Bosnia there wouldnt be 300-350k Croatian refugees to this day from BiH. Second it doesnt make sense that Tudjman would make a pact with a criminal who at the same time was giving commands to terrorists who were occuppying 1/3 of Croatia. Hilarious....
@retardinho what about those hundred innocent people murdered in Vergarola ( women and kids ) 18 august 1946 while they enjoying their summer day. Do you even know what happened in Vergarola that day ? did they teach you in school ? Those people were not fascists and what about all those italians that fought on behalf of the JNA ( Pino Budicin Battalion) then subsequently deported just because not in line with the jugoslav communist party or simply because they considered themselves italians.
@VALDIGNE What about them? It was unidentified explosion or you know something the rest of us dont...if so please contact the authorities. What apalls me is that you seem to be highly selective...I havent seen you asking question about concentration camps for Croats and Slovenes just on the basis being what they were, thousands of exiled, murdered and imprisoned civilians. etc., etc. How about the fact not one Italian fascist was held responsible and brought to trial for what they did....
@VALDIGNE There were hundreds of Croatians who fought in the Partisans and were exiled, executed and imprisoned regardless of what their ethnic affiliation was. It was not about ethnicity but about the obedience to the communist party. Many of the high ranked officials had the same destiny....for example Andrija Hebrang Sr. and many others. Tudjman was btw. one of them....youngest Tito's general.
@VALDIGNE And btw. Istria was always a melting pot of Romanic (Venetic), Slavic (Slovene and Croatian) and Germanic (Austrian) people. There was even significant French and Hungarian influence. The people in the region regardless of what they felt (abut their ethnicity) were cosmopolitan and often felt they belong to two or even more culture circles. Italian was official language in the region during Yugoslavia and continues to be co-official to this very day despite small number of Italians.
@VALDIGNE So can I. The point is and small advice from me....if you really cant write something intelligent (and you proved you can) then dont write anything. Otherwise you are only damaging yourself....I couldnt care less tho.
it is ok brate you are free to believe whatever you want , in the balkans I learned from experience that there is no real truth. What I cannot digest is that croats committed some of the most vicious atrocities during WW2 , an holocaust of epic proportion (Jasenovac) and yet despite all these crimes you came out of the conflict morally victorious when in reality you were 1000 times more vicious than the italian fascists.Believe me if I tell you that you do not deserve Istria, Fiume and Zara.

@BerettaModello38 So where was Tito before 1945 and the end of the WW2 in Istria?
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 There was never any sort of Croatization or Slovenization of anything. I suggest you stop drinking. ;)
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Dear idiot, not only Italians were killed and thrown aside as garbage. Thousnads of Croatian, Slovene, Bosnian and Serbian anticommunist had the same fate. The number of executed and exiled Croats from communist Yugoslavia after WW2 is much larger than the exiled or killed Italians. But it doesnt matter, what matters is that they were criminals. And you are an idiot who cannot comrephand these facts. Chauvinist fool...
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 1/3 of the 300-350k people were anti-communist Croats and Slovenes. Not to mention some estimates numbering almost 100k Croats massacred at Bleiburg and thousands more killed in the so-called "Krizni Put" (Way of the Crosses) where thousands were taken on miles long death walks....
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Bull-shit. Austrians did anything to weaken Croatian movements, even banned Croatian names and symbols which forced leading figures to use to supposed Illyrian name instead. They also created Croatian-Serbian conflict which culminated in 20th century. And now you claimed they led some sort of Croatization...that is just hilarious. Maybe only in your SciFi alternative universe perhaps...
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 You dumbass I am an anti-communist. But unlike you I am not a nationalistic chauvinist which tries to spin the facts as you see fit. What you do is trying to present the communist as some Croatia-Slovenian-South Slavic anti-Italian movement which only persecuted the "poor" Italians while everyone else had milk and honey flowing in streams. My family personally suffered under communist rule and I have family members murdered and imprisoned by the communists you dumbass....
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Nothing is rewritten. Those are transcripts of the original document which is completely confirmed to be an authentic document. And it shows you are full of shit and ignorrant when it comes to any sort of historical argument. Croats were present in Istria long before 16th century as you claimed in your gibberish ignorrant rant earlier.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 The Partisan movement in Istria was alive and in full formation long before Tito officially included them and even longer before they were under his command or any sort of control.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Istria was already under full control of Istrian Partisan before that and you yourself wrote "they were autonomous". In other words keep shating in your own mouth. :))
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 You are a moron... Croatian continental cusine is middle-European Austria/Hungary influenced. It has nothing to do with Turks you dumbass. I wont even comment your diarrhea on the suppsed "culturocide"...
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Because it is a popular food you dumbass. The same way Pizza, McDonalds or Chinese food spread as well. Can you comprehand that or you are complete moron who cannot grasp certains obvious facts?
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 No he didnt. Istrian Partisans were autonomous, local and homegrown. Tito had no authority there until the very end or after the war except as an ideal and role model.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 You are really dumb. Cevap IS a form of kebab you stupid retarded idiot. One huge LOL...
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Thank you for confirmed what I said. Istrian Partisans were homegrown and local, included under Tito's command only at the very end of the war and included completely under his command after the war by the proclaimation of the Istrian Partisans themselves.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 "hey were autonomous but under strict Tito command" <- LoL .... ...
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 He killed Croatian, Slovenian and Serbian Partisans as well after the war as many who joined Partisans were not communist but joined them due to lack any other resistance against Italian and German occupation with help of local quislings. There were no exceptions wheter you were Italian or anything else if you opposed the criminal communist regime. The fact you are trying to spin this as some anti-italian bs on their part is pathetic...
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 I see geography isnt your thing either....thats not north or south Istria....thats the western coast of Istria.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Partisan uprising in Istria wasnt imported...it was homegrown. Stop writing bs... And this surname issue....if I were to write all the Croatian and Slovenian surnames italianized I would have to make 25 posts in row so please spare me...
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Tell me do you know how many Croats were murdered and also ended up in Foibe or in some shallow grave by the road after the war? Their only "sin" being that they were anti-communist? I personally have family members that were taken and murdered somwhere that even today 2 generations removed I dont know where they graves are and probably never will....
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 That is simply not true. You should try to learn history books with understanding and try not skip certain parts that dont suit you. The forced Italianization, burning of schools, public socities, enforcing Italian langauge, exile and imprisonment of distinguished Croatian and Slovenian people to Sardinia, etc, etc started in 1920s. And btw. of the mentioned number of exiled "Italians" you should not forget that 1/3 of that number were anti-communist Croats and Slovenes.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 "Istarski Razvod" is a collection of documents written since early as 1275...perhaps even earlier and collected into one in 1325. Its authenticity isnt in question. And I am showing your that your claim how Croats came in Istria in 16th century is wrong as Croats were present there at least 2-3 centuries earlier.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 And btw. Cevapi has nothing to do with continental or any other part of Croatia. It is imported food since Turkish occupation. Due to the fact its tasty, cheap and easily prepared it spread all around. Same as hamburgers, sandwich stands, pizza....you name it.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Yes and until WW2 and even later there was no McDonalds or Pizzerias in almost every town in the world yet today they are all over the world. Your point is?
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Tito didnt liberate Istria. For the third time - Istrian Partisans were autonmous and were added to Tito's army at the very end of the war. Tito never directly commanded any1 in Istria nor he was there until after the war.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 So what would you call spread of fast food like hamburgers or pizza all over the world? Is that "culturocide" as well? Just lol...
retardinho 5 months ago
And btw. every goddamn restauran in Croatia most definately has Cevapi on their menu....except perhaps specialized restaurants of "posh" places where the "jet set" eats. Damn you are dumb...
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Actually it is a form of kebab you dumbass. There is a difference between the Turkish kebab and the one present in ex-Yugoslavian countries. And I wonder did you walk around and ask for every owner who sells kebab's (cevapi) and check if they are Bosnian Muslims...lol
The fact you resort to ad hominem remarks and mention my nickname which is in fact a spoof of retards like yourself shows you have shit for brains...
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Again Tito had nothing to do with Istria. The Partisans in Istria and Trieste area were autonomous and joined willingly Tito's Yugoslavia after the war.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Why cant I compare? Are Italians more worth than any other people? Arent they human beings as anyone else? Tito was a communist, he couldnt care if one was Italian, Zimbwabwean or Bushman as long he or she was a communist. Everyone else no matter their nationality was an enemy and was eliminated. And you dumbass Istria wasnt liberated by Tito, Istrian Partisans were autonomous from his command. You have shit for brains...
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Italians were majority only on the western to south-western coastal parts and cities. Inward Istria all the way to the east was in majority Croatian as long as we know it....meaning since first published census'
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 There were never croatization of Italian surnames only italizanization of Croatian and Slovenian surnames. Its a fact. And the Italian Fascists used Foibe for their crimes long before Partisans came and served them with a cold dish called revenge...not that I condone it, but you as any other nationalistic chauvinist mention things that suit your agenda. History isnt selective as you are.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Tito did no such thing, Italians left themselves because they didnt want to live in a communist country. Plus they knew that many of the collaborators and their families will have to answer for what they did and pay for their crimes. And my friend the Croats were present in Istria since at least 10-11th century...even earlier. One of the oldest documents in Croatian history was written in Istria called "Istarski Razvod" written as early as 1275.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Dumbass "Gelateria" is an Italian name. And you are supposedly an Italian? Lol this is hilarious....
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Actually they did. They either forced people out, hauled them on concentration camps (first concentration camps in Europe were on Dalmatian coast by Italian Fascists) or they imposed Italian language in schools, public life and even forced people to "italianize" their names, And Habsburgs forced croatization? LOL...that must be the dumbest thing yet...
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 Tito couldnt care less if they were Italian, Croatian or Zimbabwean...he was interested in retaining power. Anyone who didnt submit to him ended up in a shallow grave....including thousands of supposedly "his" Croats.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 I am sure you would like I get down to your level (I would have to really really low) but I will not. Let me just tell you that it doesnt matter how much you spin the facts or inflate the number or victims (which shows extreme disrespect for the victims themselves) it wont make it the truth. History is written, deal with it.
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 The Istrian people joined "en masse" with the Partisans and spoke against the Italian fascist regime and their collaborators. Now go and cry me a river...
retardinho 5 months ago
@BerettaModello38 I am sorry to tell you this but you are a uneducated bigot. Kebabs (Cevapi) are popular all over ex-Yugoslavia because they are tasty, quick to made and fairly cheap. Its basically a ex-Yugo fast food type of food. It has nothing to do with Bosniaks or their residence. As for ice cream shops Ive seen as much as those in Italy and Spain as in Istria or anywhere on the Croatian coast....you know summer/holiday = ice cream. Dumbass...

@BerettaModello38 Please dont write bs...no Bosniaks or Albanians were ever brought to Istria.

I'd like to see the rebirth of the Us Fiumana football team and seeing it joining the italian leagues, but I'd also like to see a team from Trieste playing in Slovenia.

It was fascist Italy who tried to colonize these parts, italianize slavic population by forcing them to change names and use only Italian in schools and in all other public affairs.
retardinho 8 months ago
@retardinho what history did you study ? perhaps in Pavelic or Tito books ? or perhaps you didn't study at all. Just because Mussolini tried to colonize those places that does not mean Istria Fiume and Zara were not already culturally and lingustically romanic territories. During most the period of the middle age half of Istrian population was decimated by the plague, the venetians then allowed refugees from Bosnia ( escaping from the Ottoman empire ) to settle in Istria.
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE Oh I see...so why did he try to colonize them? Why did the Fascist Italy impose the Italian language, started brining in Italians from Italy, etc, etc? Hilarious....
retardinho 8 months ago
@retardinho because as any totalitation regime mussolini and the fascists regime they were fucking narrow- minded idiots and they came to colonize Istria Fiume and Zara just like they wsent to colonize Libia Ethiopia Eritrea and Somalia without understanding they didn't need to italianize territories were people already considered themselves italians . The reason why we lost these places is because we attacked Yugoslavia and we lost the war, we simply paid for the choices of our leaders.
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE This is the most intelligent post you wrote until now. Congratulations.
retardinho 8 months ago
@retardinho what happened to the real Istriani Fiumani and Zaratini ( no matter what their ethnic group was ) was simply ethnic cleansing and many cases executions ( foibe ). Once Tito expelled most of the original people he then replaced them with croats and jugoslavs from different parts , and that's why today these places belong to Croatia. History will be repeated in the 90's when croats ethnically cleansed serbs from Kraijna and the muslims from central Bosnia and Hercegovina.
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE Fiume or Rijeka had 50-50% Croat-Italian mixed population even during the Italian Fascist rule when Italy was into heavy colonization of this city with Italians from Italy. Same goes for Zara-Zadar. The people living there intermarried and mixed with each other. Those who collaborated and supported fascist and other nazi-fascist regimes in the region fled as they knew the rest (majority) of the population will not tolerate their presence after all they done to them.
retardinho 8 months ago
@retardinho First of all Zara was the most italian town of all the easter borders also because it was far away from the motherland that's why the zaratini felt close to Italy, despite the fact there were consistent italian minorities in Spalato and Trau'/Trogir. Tito liquidated Zara fast simply because the anglo americans bombed the town causing heavy casualties and completely destroyed it causing the exodus of 90% of the original population .
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE The reason why Zara was heavily bombed by the allies is because Tito made them believe that it was a strategic axis bridge into the balkan peninsula. In other words the anglo americans ethnically cleansed Zara for Tito ( pratically a gift )
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE Oh the joys of conspiracy theory...didnt it occur to you that perhaps they bombed them because Zadar was a startegic port of a Axis force? No it must be a conspiracy theory...lulz...
retardinho 8 months ago
@retardinho my friend let me ask you a question. What nationality are you ?
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE I consider myself Croatian. My family tree is however heavily mixed including Italian origin.
retardinho 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE Zadar was a very small town at that time btw. It had at most 12-15k people. Which is btw. the same number of Italians (15-20k) who lived in the entire Austro-Hungarian 'Kingdom of Dalmatia'. Your post is totally besides the point. The fact is Dalmatia and Istria had Croatian majority long before Italian national identity was born and Italy emerging as a nation state. And Croats and Croatian national identity was present in these regions since 6-7th century.
retardinho 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE And 1990's events have nothing to do with Fascist Italy crimes they committed on the local population in WW2 they were never held accountable. But lets just say you are uninformed and extremely assertive of things you know nothing about or have biased POV for whatever reason that is known only to you.

@MR917621 Many venetian/italian families lived there for centuries too. It has nothing to with fascism and communism.

MR917621 1 year ago
@MR917621 It means that there was plurality and diversity for centuries. Nation states defined by ethnia or language is part of the modern totalitarian ideologies.

@MR917621 You are talking about facts that happened in the 20th, a century defined by totalitarian ideologies. And i responded that many non-croatian people lived in Istria for centuries and coexisted peacefully. Switzerland is an old country that shows that different ethnias can live in the same state. Most of the rest of Europe borders are defined by world wars and genocides.
xaviqaz 1 year ago
@xaviqaz Switzerland is a rare exception. However they too are having some problems today. The best way for nations to go, is to solidify their current borders, and limit immigration and foreign invasion. Or else no nation will have any individual identity.

@MR917621 Switzerland is one of the oldest countries in Europe. They have survived wars, empires and tyrants thanks to their respect of local sovereignty and popular militia. Switzerland should be the example, not the exception, as opposed to ethnic nationalism. Indentity is local or is not identity. And must be defended locally.
xaviqaz 1 year ago
@MR917621 mussolini made a big mistake in trying to colonize lands that were always venetians. Today you have Istria Fiume and Zara just for the simple fact that mussolini invaded Yugoslavia and lost the war.
VALDIGNE 1 year ago
@MR917621 Italian are always saying bullshit about Istra...they think that Venetian Istra=Italian Istra...but they are wrong...when there was the Venetian republic, Istrian people lived in peace under the flag of Saint Mark and they were Croatians,Venetians and Slovenians...Italians has no right to talk about Istra and they have to stop to call us Italian , teach us their language and their culture and steal our money...
FREE VENETO!!!
Ltbpd 11 months ago
@Ltbpd Yes, Venetian Istra was cultured and paceful. At the same time, only as part of Croatia has Istra truly been able to be free. Even if it means letting anti Croats like IDS ban Thompson From the Arena in a "democracy". Like a mother to a child, Croatia is to Istra. Let that be known with full respect. For it is something that can not be denied. It is truth. I agree 100% about Italians. All the best to you,
MR917621 11 months ago
@MR917621 25 years of occupation ? What are u saying??? Istria has always been roman and venetian, bloody austrian introduced balcanic people in order to destroy italian identity. Not a brick was laid by croatians in Istria. Italians have always been the elite, the intellectuals, the bourgeoisie, u were just peasant eaten up with jaoulosy against italians. Your attempt to rewrite the history is utterly ridicolous !!!
Caleidus 8 months ago
@Caleidus Like I wrote. 700 years. They NEVER spoke Italian. Only Croatian. Far from a peasant. I am not jealous of anyone. It is time for you Italo facists to move on. Istra is where she belongs. A part of Croatia. The ancient Croatian alphabet, the glagojica has been marked in Istra for over a 1000 years. Go tell Libya and Ethiopia that they belong to Italy. Then come back to me. Instead of bickering about something you have nothing to do with. Why don't you try to reject the EU.
MR917621 8 months ago
@MR917621 In the coast towns of Istria and Dalmazia u were never the dominant ethnicity or culture. The italian culture was so predominant in that places that even the official magazine of the nationalist croates was written in italian at the beginning of the century. When I read croatian touristic guide stating that people or monuments belong to croatian culture just because u've had add an -ic to the correspective italian name I start laughing. None is able to mistyfy history as u !!
Caleidus 8 months ago
@Caleidus Keep laughing and living in the past. Go talk to Libians and Ethiopians and tell them their countries belong to you. While you laugh, Italy is dissapearing. Soon Lampedusa will be Tunisian. Focus your energy there.
MR917621 8 months ago
@Caleidus The fact they spoke and wrote in Italian can mean only that they were bilingual and cosmopolitan not that they were Italians. The fact you are writing in English here does not make you an Englishman now does it?
retardinho 8 months ago
@retardinho you are so dumb , the fact they speak and write italian is because those people despite the fact Tito tried to forcibly slavicide ( just like mussolini tried to italiniaze everything and everybody without understanding that those people didn't need to be colonized like the african colonies ) is because Istria and Zara were secularly romans and then venetians. Believe me I still have family in Istria ( real istriani) and they do not cosinder themselves croats at all.
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE Tito couldnt do anything of the sort because the people who felt as Italians started moving out en masse due to fact they didnt wanted to live in a communist country and also because they were afraid they will be processed because of their support for the criminal fascist regime. This happened even before the country (Yugoslavia) started even functioning as a real sovereign state. You are scribbling trash.
retardinho 8 months ago
@retardinho as I thought you do not know anything about the history of Istria, first of all not all italians were fascists majority weren't. Second, it was an italian battalion Pino Budicin ( a military unit of the Yugoslav Liberation Army ) who liberated Istria and Fiume from the nazi fascist. Third , yes many left because didn't want to live in a communist country but most left because of fear being excuted or thrown into a foiba.
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE Pola a town almost entirely italian emptied overnight after massacre of Vergarola.
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE "...because of fear being excuted or thrown into a foiba."
Due to their collaboration with fascist Italy regime and quisling Ustashe regime. It wasnt because they were Italians but because they were fascists. Tito executed thousands of Croats as well based only on the assumption they were collaborators. But you wouldnt care about that because you are not interesting in historical facts...you are interested in smearing Croats no matter of their political affilition in any period.
retardinho 8 months ago
@retardinho that is not true at all , I have many croat friends and I love them dearly and for your information I was in Croatia during the war 91-95 and I always supported your independence despite the fact you betrayed the muslims in Bosnia.
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE Hmm...this is the second time you mention Bosnia. What do you mean betrayed? Croatia gave shelter for over 500k Bosniaks, Croatia helped Bosnia both with weapons and gas, Croatia was Bosnia's ally and was the first country to recognize it as independant country. If you refer to the idiotic conflict between 1993-1994 by a bunch of idiots on both sides you are very wrong my friend. Thanks to Croatia Bosnia-Herzegovina is now a sovereign state due to Dayton Agreement.
retardinho 8 months ago
@retardinho Brate, yes Croatia took many Bosniaks refugees but do not forget Tudzman betrayed Alija and wanted to make a pact with Milosevic to split BiH between themselves by cutting out the muslims, do not forget that this betrayal cost Bosnians thousands of more lifes. Do not forget the massacres such as Ahmici do not forget the clashes between the hvo and armija rbih. I am italian with istrian originins but I love BiH more than anything and for your info BiH fought for his sovreignity.
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE LOL...mate you write shite again. If Tudjman wanted to divide Bosnia there wouldnt be 300-350k Croatian refugees to this day from BiH. Second it doesnt make sense that Tudjman would make a pact with a criminal who at the same time was giving commands to terrorists who were occuppying 1/3 of Croatia. Hilarious....
retardinho 8 months ago
@retardinho what about those hundred innocent people murdered in Vergarola ( women and kids ) 18 august 1946 while they enjoying their summer day. Do you even know what happened in Vergarola that day ? did they teach you in school ? Those people were not fascists and what about all those italians that fought on behalf of the JNA ( Pino Budicin Battalion) then subsequently deported just because not in line with the jugoslav communist party or simply because they considered themselves italians.
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE What about them? It was unidentified explosion or you know something the rest of us dont...if so please contact the authorities. What apalls me is that you seem to be highly selective...I havent seen you asking question about concentration camps for Croats and Slovenes just on the basis being what they were, thousands of exiled, murdered and imprisoned civilians. etc., etc. How about the fact not one Italian fascist was held responsible and brought to trial for what they did....
retardinho 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE There were hundreds of Croatians who fought in the Partisans and were exiled, executed and imprisoned regardless of what their ethnic affiliation was. It was not about ethnicity but about the obedience to the communist party. Many of the high ranked officials had the same destiny....for example Andrija Hebrang Sr. and many others. Tudjman was btw. one of them....youngest Tito's general.
retardinho 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE And btw. Istria was always a melting pot of Romanic (Venetic), Slavic (Slovene and Croatian) and Germanic (Austrian) people. There was even significant French and Hungarian influence. The people in the region regardless of what they felt (abut their ethnicity) were cosmopolitan and often felt they belong to two or even more culture circles. Italian was official language in the region during Yugoslavia and continues to be co-official to this very day despite small number of Italians.
retardinho 8 months ago
@retardinho HDZ and croat fascists will eventually try to eliminate the bilinguism in Istria, they already tried more than once.
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE I suggest you stop writing trash and go to sleep or something...you are embarrassing yourself...
retardinho 8 months ago
@retardinho I suggest you to do the same because what you do not know I can fill a book !
VALDIGNE 8 months ago
@VALDIGNE So can I. The point is and small advice from me....if you really cant write something intelligent (and you proved you can) then dont write anything. Otherwise you are only damaging yourself....I couldnt care less tho.
retardinho 8 months ago
it is ok brate you are free to believe whatever you want , in the balkans I learned from experience that there is no real truth.
