  • Can you put subtitles? because i can't understand (i don't speak english but i can read it).

  • he looks like a Filipino ...cos he is

  • oh dear lord ! he looks like he is in his early 40 top

  • yea man Dan Inosanto was there with bruce helping to develop JKD. they were best friends. and that's real

  • Dan Inosanto was likely to countinue Bruce's philosophy.

  • proud to be pinoy!

  • This is just correction but great, awesome video thanks for posting it.

The proper word for teacher in Filipino is GURO not GURU. ^…^

  • I attended a seminar with Dan back in 80s. He was a dynamic person and i felt fortunate to have shared a training platform with him.

  • He most likely try to finish what Bruce started, learning many fighting arts and mix it together.

  • this man is one of the greatest martial artist around. thank god he still teaching us. dont ever stop Guru, Sifu Inosanto :)

  • What GURU means??He read the thouhgt or he can walk on the water?

  • @dlvt79 Guru means teacher in the Filipino Martial Arts.

  • Bruce Lee is proud of Dan Inosanto up above...I have trainded with Dan, he is a great instructor..

  • seen him in edinbrugh seminar was awsome.

  • He is the greatest so humlble ....such a great true Master.

  • @mario916

according to wikipedia, chuck norris was Dan Inosanto's student

  • Fine master. I have heard of him from Bruce's books.

  • notice how grandmaster dan is so fast to answer the question almost before the interviewer is even done asking the question? haha. this man is a true genius, no doubt about it. gm dan inosanto > chuck norris any day.

  • is anyone else having trouble with the volume?

  • Right on the money! Here is a teacher /fighter who has trained for a long long time but is still open to change and growth in MA.

  • I WISH I COULD TRAIN WITH HIM

  • 72 years old but still looks like 50.

  • @flyingbigm Good teacher and fit and teaches some good techniques but shit he's boring as hell in his videos! Don't worry about kicking their ass Dan just talk and bore motherfuckers to death lol.

  • @DamnJap45 you are a fool.

  • Great to see him looking healthy.

    Respect.

  • When you hear wisdom speaking, LISTEN!

  • Brilliance. Sheer refined brilliance. Thank you for posting this!!

  • Dan Inosanto taught Chuck Norris, thats how epic he is.

  • i want ot see how ppl in england use to fight im actually curious. does anyone know where i can find vids on this

  • little bruce lee figures at the back :)

  • I love that he says "i havent finished my training, theres alot of area i really need to still work on" What an amazing Instructor there will never be another like him.

  • he is a HUMBLE version of bruce..make know mistake,Bruce was cocky, but master inasanto has done nothing but continue the art,but is allot more humble

  • @horacrux How couldnt you be cocky when you feel like the baddest motha on the planet.

  • @horacrux ..Yes some people that knew Bruce did say he was cocky, but they also said that Bruce would always back up his cockyness with proof. so when Bruce said he could do something he'd always prove that he could.

  • @horacrux Bruce wasnt cocky, he was very confident, I reckon if he was with us today he'd be as humble as Guru Dan is today, but i totally agree with you in the sense that Guru Dan has done alot for the art and brought alot to it's teachings and philosophy

  • @unknown88artist Why do you thnk Bruce lee would be alive if he was a little more humble?

  • @videosdatreta i think youve misread my post, i was trying to say that Bruce Lee would be more humble if he was alive today, not that he would be alive today if he was more humble :)

  • @unknown88artist oh lol Yes. sorry

  • He is 74 now.

    Holy cow.

  • "... I haven't finished my training..."

This from the person that knows much about fighting as anybody else in the world.

This is Dan Inosanto folks. He can end a confrontation without fighting because he makes the opponent understand that a hand to hand fight with him is... more or less a failure. And yet, he is more humble than a white belt off the street, not that a belt means anything. A master of all masters. Yet humble as a student of all students. A paradox.

  • @toku222

can bruce lee catch a bullet?

  • @weldingmachine1959:

Of course, that's always a good point. Like Bruce himself said, "Any fool can pull a trigger". We're talking about the value of discipline, learning, and the value in building yourself into something not everyone can be, or do.

Gun vs. Bruce Lee or any man: gun wins. You or me vs. Bruce Lee or Dan Inosanto: we're dead meat.

  • @toku222 How come there is so few full instructors? Do most students have to eventually enter private training? Or do they just not have the heart to go for 15 or 20 years? He's a great instructor though His students are a list of who's who

  • @toku222

    Very true.

The thing is, he didn't do anything that no one else can do. He simply excelled at something he loved, and put hard work and dedication into it. He's an example of what the human species can be.

  • wow he use word `guru` which is malayan silat term for `master` in martial arts

  • Filipino martial arts are not big in the Philippines. MMA is huge though.

However, Filipinos are lovers, not fighters.

  • He is a Filipino, Filipinos' Pride

  • i love how he says he has lots of areas to improve in and he's at this total mastery level in nearly everything he teaches. a real hero

  • what you talking about where he learned wing chun..You wake up...He has 9 wing chun teachers among them was bruce lee and Francis Wong and GM Ark Kuen and GM Leung Ting.....Where did you learn your Wing Chun to the person who posted it and for the person saying his ripping you off. Wake up and get off the newbie wagon...People like you guys disgrace the martial arts..Guro Dan Inosantos is a Legend..What are you guys fakes..

  • jlenoconel: he actually is doing a seminar in Atlanta in a few weeks (September 2010)

  • This guy is ripping you all off, wake up people!!

  • @WingChunLova Where did you get your information?

  • Does Dan do seminars in Atlanta? I would love to meet this guy. He seems so nice and humble. Cool beans.

  • Guro Dan's the man! I'm ecstatic that I train under a branch of his!

  • ah,brother inosanto acknowledges the african martial arts!

  • got to be the healthiest 73 year old around!

  • @mertles02 dan is also an english proffesor

  • youth is overrated. haha

age, experience and cunning pwns everything else you the man Mr. Dan!

  • It would've been so funny if pornpan could go back in time and say that to Bruce's face lol. Bruce took many names of others who called him out as a fake master or challenged him, he made a believer out of them in a matter of seconds or at least when they regained consciousness. But you should see it, in every Bruce Lee or Bruce Lee related video pornpan has gone on there and shittalked Bruce with comments of total ignorance and foolishness. Damn I even hate that name, PORNPAN. Fucking looser!

  • @serbsmight Oh dear.

  • You wanna talk about university of Martial arts. The Inosanto Academy teaches, Filipino Martial arts, Shooto (shoot wrestling) Brazilian Jiu jitsu, Capoeria, JKD, Muay Thai, Silat, Even before Dan Inosanto met Bruce Lee, he was a shodan in American Kenpo, a black belt in Judo, and he trained in Okinawan tee. He's also sertified in like 30 systems of silat or something like that

  • A brilliant cultural anthropologist of the martial arts genre as well as the single most accomplished martial arts student of the 20th century. I am humbled...

  • @kifighting great post. you said that brilliantly.its the truth.

  • Guru Dan Inosanto looks much younger than his actual age! He is a true well of knowledge and wisdom. The closest to the mighty Dragon Bruce Lee.

  • dan inosanto is an inspiration. i dont think theres anybody in the world that can challenge him with a kali stick. im glad your still training

  • Sifu Dan is one of my 4 teachers in the martial arts. Since my first lessons with him in 1995 I've found him to be not only a breath of fresh air in MA but overall the most knowledgable teacher of martial arts that I've ever met. He's truly one of the greats of this century & of all time. He's so humble, talented & wise that if anyone ever gets the opportunity to train under him, please don't miss that magical opportunity. You will learn so much if you meet him & grow as an Artist & as a person.

  • you are not wrong there my friend.... I live in Australia and was privledged to meet him about 6 years ago during a Seminar... wow, what a great, great man and teacher

  • @m1artz How much does Guru Inosanto charge for private training?

  • @Mider999 private ptraining? well, if you mean one on one training with just Guro Dan and yourself....well, I would imagine that would be a lot of money. Maybe 200 per hour or maybe more. But I don't know if trains like that unless it is a celebrity who needs his training quickly for a movie role (like Denzel Washington who Guro Dan trained last year for, "The Book of Eli").

  • All you people that hide my comment. Know we True Master are smiling at how much you not know when you show who you are when hiding monitoring and not open to new ways. Thai

  • i see you're a white belt in grammar fu!

  • @opti2007 Is that all in your mind to this moment to speak like that. You have a long way.Thai

  • Ahh haa you still got it very good. Show and talk more. You still look young.Thai

  • he was 73 !!!!!!

  • 73!?!? wow man he barely looks 50 lol

  • 73? He looks 20 years younger than that. Plus his mind is so sharp!

  • no sound

  • He is the real MMA exponent and teacher!!!

  • watch Redbelt movie...

  • He has such deep knowledge, nothing but respect to Guro Dan!

  • Guro Dan is such an enlightened person, I admire his approach and he has inspired me so much throughout my Martial Arts experience (34+ years now). He was studying before I was born!

  • I didn't realize he was 73 years old! He looks in great shape! A true inspiration and a legendary martial artist!

  • @hulkout666 He moves FASTTTTTT and he's very strong too

  • @hulkout666

    What a GREAT man.

  • Yeah I'm sure he could kick most 20 or 30 year old guys' asses even though he's in his 70's lol. He's also really intelligent and wise and would make for a great guy to just sit and chat with as well as to train with. Too bad Bruce didn't get to live this long and fulfill all the potential that he had as an actor and martial artists and have more time to gain even more knowledge and skill than he had at the time of his death.

  • @fearfactor22 thanks for the kind post. You are right on mate. There are very few men anywhere that can match Dan.He is so humble as well. Bruce was one of a kind and Dan was his training partner and punching bag, Gene Lebell told me Chuck Norris pot on a white belt when training with the Machado brothers as did Dan. The Machado's were blown away at thier humility and sincerity.

  • @hulkout666 this man is my hero

  • @hulkout666 are u kidding that guy's a fat ass now

  • He's in great shape for a 73 yr old

  • Man, he looks way younger than 73, and is in better shape than many guys I know who are in their 20's!

  • Guru Dan 4 President!

  • @Soulfege09 Well, I like Obama as prez myself, but I think Dan would make a great Secretary of Defense. LOL

Seriously, I've never met Dan, but he is one of my heroes and an inspiration. I think he's done the JKD legacy proud...always learning...never being static.

  • Dan is the man

  • Open your mind to any Martial Art system out there. You might learn something new.

  • We love you Guro! Thanks so much for sharing..!

  • Thanks for sharing indeed. Very insightful interview. Such a fluent speaker.
