i agree with this guy when he says he doesn't lik argueing with ignorant people. However in my experience it's been reigious people that are the most close-minded and ignorant people of all. Any time i try to have a intellectual conversation with one all they do is preach, tell me how wrong i am, and how right they are. And they are never open to my beliefs and thoughts.
i am muslim and Peter the reason that the quran has never been changed or even revised is because allah the lord of everything has sent it down to his prophet. if you dont believe me then i will give you another reason. many muslims back during the prophet muhammeds time had memorized the quran, later on they passed it down to thier children. this is why the same quran has not been changed for over 1400 years.

I apostated from islam, so now I am only greeted by my moderate group of muslims friends, and not by my ultra sunni friends. The very religous muslims have told me that im the evilest of men and that I will burn in hell.

To apostatize is to deny the revelation of God, to consider His Messenger a liar or a madman (God forbid!) and to consider the followers of His teachings to be in error. To have doubts or to be agnostic is one thing, but to proclaim this faith to be false is another entirely, and to think that it is not something that cuts deep into people's hearts to say.
I cannot fathom what you feel disproves Islam...but reexamine it.
@PeterJDeer , Yeah, I deny the existence of God and the holliness of his prophets. I would say that the main reason that I don't believe in the divinity of the Quran is the lack of anything amazing in it. There is nothing, absolutely nothing in the Qur'an that could have never been kown to a person of the 6th century. Also, it's a rip off of the bible.

As for the "rip off of the Bible" statement, it's no different than those who claim the Gospels rip off the Pentateuch or the Zend Avestas. It all fails to take into account the important premise that they are all continuations of each other from the same Author.
I thoroughly agree with this video. I am a practicing christian, and I am disgusted by what i see on youtube and other sites engaging in hatred of the other religious group, weather it be christians, muslims, jews, buddhists, hindus, etc. We can learn to have conversations with each other, based on mutual respect for one another, have a peaceful, respectful dialogue. Peace between religions is the only way we can live together in this world. not by hatred.

@MoiDixMois01 The Crusades originally had the goal of recapturing Jerusalem and the Holy Land from Muslim rule and were launched in response to a call from the Christian Byzantine Empire for help against the expansion of the Muslim Seljuk Turks into Anatolia. The Crusades were basically CATHOLIC...which I don't even consider to be true Christians. Although I don't agree with murdering abortionists, I am sympathetic with their cause of rescuing the defenseless unborn.

Whoever Allah misguides blinds his heart and has set a seal on his hearing and a covering on his eyes cannot embrace Islam by force....
O.K. there is no compulsion in religion? 2:256 aren't you quoting out of context? This verse relates to non-muslims converting to Islam. They may not be forced to convert to Islam. However, muslims are forbidden to convert to any other religion. Apostacy is punished by death.
Right to practice their religion? Does that include the right to criticise mohammed? Does that include the right to convert muslims to christianity? Does that include the right to build churches? No, it doesn't. Blashpemy and apostacy are illegal according to the shariah. But, of course muslims have the right to curse christianity and convert christians.

@bhigr Of course you wouldn't find anything hateful in the Christian bible because they change the verses in it everyday to satisfy their needs and there are millions of different bibles which say different things. Whereas the Qur'an has never been changed because we actually respect God and his word but of course Christians don't because you have have to change God's word to fit your needs and to make you happy
But I'm not generalizing all Christians because they are truly religious and peaceful Christians who love God and that of course is OK. The Christians who are unaware of bad deeds they may do and try to be religious are OK. It's just the people that hate other religions and say untrue things to fit their needs. Christians in general are very good people though
@Crazyman4369 It cannot be proved that the bible was changed, nor can it be proved that the quran was NOT changed, it's the same issue and no-one can say it's true either way.
@kachel90 - Actually there's quite solid evidence that the Qur'an is authentic to, at least, the original Uthmanic compilation. The Suras are shown to be identical to the original Suras. It is said that the Imam Ali had his own version that had different ordering of the Suras and had a different system of diacritical marks, but he did not object when Uthman standardized the copies.
The scholarly opinion, even in the west, is that the Qur'an is authentic to the original text.
@PeterJDeer I myself do believe that the Qur'an retains its original form, however, I still believe that cannot be proven 100%. How many years have passed since the creation of the original Suras? Who can say for sure that they were original and not already a copy, yet the original are hidden somewhere. There was not a system of documents like there is now. That is my point.
@kachel90 - You'd say "how many years have passed" but the oldest documents had very little time, and verify the present-day copies. Believe me, I have done quite a bit of research into this, and there are scores of archaeologists who have made this in particular their pet project. The closest thing they found to a variance was one copy where someone had abbreviated words when transcribing them, but there has been no archaeological variance in content.

I merely added that we are talking about the earliest Qur'an KNOWN to exist, and that I won't wave the possibility that there is one older existing in hiding somewhere. But again, that is completely unknown.

i am muslim and Peter the reason that the quran has never been changed or even revised is because allah the lord of everything has sent it down to his prophet. if you dont believe me then i will give you another reason. many muslims back during the prophet muhammeds time had memorized the quran, later on they passed it down to thier children. this is why the same quran has not been changed for over 1400 years.

To apostatize is to deny the revelation of God, to consider His Messenger a liar or a madman (God forbid!) and to consider the followers of His teachings to be in error. To have doubts or to be agnostic is one thing, but to proclaim this faith to be false is another entirely, and to think that it is not something that cuts deep into people's hearts to say.
I cannot fathom what you feel disproves Islam...but reexamine it.

I thoroughly agree with this video. I am a practicing christian, and I am disgusted by what i see on youtube and other sites engaging in hatred of the other religious group, weather it be christians, muslims, jews, buddhists, hindus, etc. We can learn to have conversations with each other, based on mutual respect for one another, have a peaceful, respectful dialogue. Peace between religions is the only way we can live together in this world. not by hatred.

@MoiDixMois01 The Crusades originally had the goal of recapturing Jerusalem and the Holy Land from Muslim rule and were launched in response to a call from the Christian Byzantine Empire for help against the expansion of the Muslim Seljuk Turks into Anatolia. The Crusades were basically CATHOLIC...which I don't even consider to be true Christians. Although I don't agree with murdering abortionists, I am sympathetic with their cause of rescuing the defenseless unborn.

@kachel90 - Actually there's quite solid evidence that the Qur'an is authentic to, at least, the original Uthmanic compilation. The Suras are shown to be identical to the original Suras. It is said that the Imam Ali had his own version that had different ordering of the Suras and had a different system of diacritical marks, but he did not object when Uthman standardized the copies.
The scholarly opinion, even in the west, is that the Qur'an is authentic to the original text.

@PeterJDeer I myself do believe that the Qur'an retains its original form, however, I still believe that cannot be proven 100%. How many years have passed since the creation of the original Suras? Who can say for sure that they were original and not already a copy, yet the original are hidden somewhere. There was not a system of documents like there is now. That is my point.

@kachel90 - You'd say "how many years have passed" but the oldest documents had very little time, and verify the present-day copies. Believe me, I have done quite a bit of research into this, and there are scores of archaeologists who have made this in particular their pet project. The closest thing they found to a variance was one copy where someone had abbreviated words when transcribing them, but there has been no archaeological variance in content.

I have already believed that the Qur'an has not been changed, but I will also argue that the "original" qur'an is only "original" until and IF and older copy appears. I made a point that it is unknown for sure that what is considered the original truly is that, and that there is no other book in hiding somewhere that is not currently known to exist.

Actually, you have given me NO information contrary to my conceptions. I agreed that the original Qur'an in existence has yet to be changed, other than maybe one word I know of inserted by Ali.
I merely added that we are talking about the earliest Qur'an KNOWN to exist, and that I won't wave the possibility that there is one older existing in hiding somewhere. But again, that is completely unknown.

@spideyrocks45 Btw in what bible did you find that text? Bibles tend to have multiple versions :D. Also Christianity if that is the religion we should believe explain to me WTF the pope is representing? I truly couldn't find in any bible that we should have figure head like the pope acting like he is the shit.
Also if you really think the bible is pure than why is it put together by ROMANS the same people that didn't give a fuck that Christ died on the cross?(I'm not muslim nor christian btw).

@TheUnoMojo What version does it matter? I have several versions and find no difference. The Bible was written by Apostles than translated to Greek not Romans. And The Pope (I prefer to call them Anti Christ's.) was never in the Bible. (In fact a lot of Catholicism is not in the Bible such as doing works for Salvation is not Biblical.). And what weapon symbol? Stop making things up.

Yoi know what the funny thing is. Religion in is purest form doesn't exist in the heads of the country or even they religions leaders. If it did than they wouldn't be so wealthy. No they would share all they have

@iyt89 I disagree with punishment, it'll cause uneccessary hate, thus violent retaliation. I understand to punish the ones who started the mess, but think about it. If we do, to us it may seem that they're worthless, but to another person, he/she may find them a hero, thus another generation of haters are born. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, but we can't deny the hate withing us. I know the feeling, but sometimes, we need to learn to let go.
