  • You can toss them into the coals as long as you are doing low temperature smoking e.g. under 250 deg. F

  • @fredsmusicandbbq OK, thanks for the info

I am going to make a pizza first tomorrow, so I'll make a smoker box out of an empty tuna can, or tin foil bag.

  • Nice video(s)

My big green egg is arriving tomorrow :)

Do we need to use a cast iron smoking pot for the Jack Daniels pellets, or can you just throw them onto the coals too ?

  • Do you sell BGE on your Web site?

  • @mac777daddy No we do not. If you want to buy one, call our showroom at 800-677-2882.

  • Music and BBQ :^) What an awesome store!

  • i've always liked the egg. i have a traeger. how do they compare?

  • They're both good!

  • Did you suggest cooking with clear or BLACK smoke?

  • @GibsonFenderManiac what you don't want is GRAY smoke from the firestarter ...wait until that stuff burns off ...usually the next smoke is black / clear ish ..then good to cook.

  • @GibsonFenderManiac

Wait until the gray goes away ..then it's sort of clear with a little black ...

  • I agree they are great. One thing they are not just popular in the US - I am a Egg fan in Canada.

  • is this a east coast thing? is it better than a webber?

  • The Big Green Egg is extremely popular all over the country. It is sort of like a Weber on steroids crossed with a smoker crossed with a brick / woofdfired oven. Once you use one, you know what I'm talking about.

  • @fredsmusicandbbq I agree. One thing they are not just popular in the US - I am a Egg fan in Canada.

  • chimney starter for me. electric works good also, but you'll have to replace them about once a year. the bge brand charcoal is nice. i rank it 2nd to the ozark oak. i'm guessing the bge lump coal was used based on the background. either way, i've purchased several bge grills and won't use anything else.

  • Yep ... we certainly use lump charcoal...luv the stuff ... I've tried many different brands .. like that Ozark Oak also and the BGE stuff as well as others. Thanks for watching!

  • Thank you for posting these Green Egg videos. Very helpful. Nice work!

  • Thanks for the comment. Hope to see you soon.

  • Dude! I love your comments abck to the haters here! The only thing i can think of that would be better than a BBQ/Guitar store is a BBQ/GUITAR/HOMEBREWING store :)

People like you make Youtube worthwhile-information with flair and humor.

Hope to be a BGE owner soon.

    PIck on/Grill on!

  • It seems that not everyone in the country is a moron but there are definitely a few out there for sure judging by your comments. If you doubt what you saw in the video, this is your personal invitation for you to come and I'll give you a live demo.

  • Is everyone in this country a moron? No. Obviously, you've never cooked on a B.G.E.

  • I think it's OBVIOUS. Look on the video, I'm obviously not cooking on a Big Green Egg ..what is that thing?

  • nice video except the audio with the cars was annoying

  • I sent my helper to lay on the street to try to stop all the traffic but they just ran him over.

  • heart heart W

  • lung lung

  • This is a very helpful video.
