I cant believe someone posted a video about Council Manhattan. I also can't believe that Jackson, MS. is still recognized as a U.S. city. You people should save yourselves and leave that cesspool before its to late.
As sheltered as the school was, our parents and students all knew this. St Andrews and the church that supports them is OK with the raffle ticket thing. Baptists are not. Not saying I agree with that stance but that is just how it is at a private school.
I blame the stupid and assinine Woodland Hills Baptist Church for not supporting it! St. Andrew's supported St. Andrew's.......come on! My class (1990) wanted to go on a cruise after graduation and to raise money, we were going to use raffle tickets for the latest big thing. The church wouldn't let us because it was a form of gambling, so we did it behind the institution's back and had one hell of a time in the Bahamas!
Wow, I havent seen the campus in years, I was in 6th grade when we made the move from the church. The fire in the gym, that was the band room, That was a great school sad to see it look that way now.
I attended WHBA during the 1983/1984 and 1984/1985 school years. I was in the 3rd and 4th grades. My mom and I moved back to our hometown of Meridian, but I always missed my friends at Woodland Hills. I played football at the YMCA across the street when I was in the 4th grade. I remember the Halloween Fun Fair that WHBA hosted each October and I remember when the varsity football team beat Prep (at Prep) while I was there. I hate that the school closed. Wonderful memories!
How old were you when you were there? I graduated in 1987. It closed then someone bought it and I think they went bankrupt. It is pretty sad. They have had two major fires on campus.
I attended this campus (Manhattan Rd) the first year after they moved from the WHBC grounds (83-84 I think). I heard that WHBA closed, but I didn't realize it had been left to rot.
Is this video supposed to be of St. A or WHBA or WHBC? I'm confused.

If it is such a cesspool why search for it online. Just because you are obviously a bitter old soul, does not mean we all hate home.

Wow! I went to school here back in the mid 70's, 7-9 grades then we moved to Birmingham> It's a shame to see what's happened to the place.

I attended WHBA from 1979 - 1981 so never got to enjoy the Manhattan Rd campus. Sad to see it neglected so.
