The parkway just runs through VA and NC, not SC. You're right about the fall foliage though. You're actually only 4 miles in this video from Grandfather Mtn., definitely one of the best (if not the best) places in the Southeastern US to see the foliage in mid to late October. Definitely recommend it. Unfortunately the road is closed most of the winter though. (I say unfortunately but ice cakes up and takes forever to melt in the shade of those trees)

I use to live in Boone, not 20 minutes down the road, and I'd drive the parkway pretty much every week. Unfortunately just recently had to move away :(

I was really enjoying the clip until the driver approached the cyclist without slowing and certainly not moving over at all when he could have....shame on him...

that must have been a blast in your new Porsche. unfortunately the only thing avis had for us to drive was a kia.
