@MilwaukeeDreadie It was a downhill shot off of a 186' cliff. A lot different then throwing 700' straight both are still very impressive. However, I tend to see the straight 600-800' drives as more skill than slamming a magical ace of 726'
But I thought the record was like 800 + feet. I'm sure most pro's can launch one for 500 feet. Are you sure about 507? I dunno, I guess it's right but 507 seems less than what most TOP pro's are reaching.
The world record throw is thrown in the desert with a ton of tail wind so their able to get alot more distance. This competition was at night which can affect the flight of the disc tremendously. Being able to throw super long in a distance competition is hard in itself because the competitiors only get 5 discs to throw. throwing on grass is tough because theres less friction to have a good foot plant There's only a handful of players on the planet that can consistently throw over 500 feet

This video is from the finals, it was cold no wind. In the semis they were cranking them out there. It really depends on weather condition
