to get that tone on ur toms u just tune the bottom head lower then the top right? cuz ive been trying and trying with my REMO pinstripes and it just wont work

i had the same problem with my pinstripes... no matter what i did i just got a dull thud. I bought evans ec2's and had them on top, pinstripes on bottom and my toms sound sweet now
