the whole problem with touch screen phones is you have the issue of when holding them you inadvertenly activate certain features if you hold them around the screen. it may not be a very big issue but i find this just bugs me for some reason and makes it hard to relax when picking it up.

is it only me who totally hates this phone? It doesn´t look bad, at doesn´t seem bad but it presses the wrong "buttons" all the time. If you´re going to buy a touch phone, wait until you have the money to buy an Iphone or if you have the money, just buy it. I don´t know what good phones there are in the U.S. besides Iphone but here in Sweden everything besides it sucks. I don´t know, is blackberry good?

Wow man I've had my HTC Touch Diamond almost two years now and I don't have any of them problems but the buttens are small I have a good signal strength all the time I use the internet all the time in fact I use it to get internet on my pc because where I live I can not get any internet as I live way out in the boondocks so I have to tether with my HTC and I download a lot the alarm works well I use it every day my screen responds very well I love this phone

@bassam2168 its not bad. Its not as sensitive as the iphone4, but its better than the original iphone. In saying that I got frustrated with the iphone4 as it was too sensitive and I was launching apps all over the show. Screen is better res than the iphone3 but not as good as the iphone4 (I think that is 960x480?) But then again this phone is 2 years old, a second hand one will only cost you about $100

@risk8er7 mine is only WinMob6.1 I think. But running the later firmware and later htc touchflo. I barely use the WinMob section as the touchflow actually integrates all the handy stuff quite nicely. Only problem I have is the tiny buttons in the top right. (e.g. close window)

It's really not got much to shout about. the HD2 can be overclocked so it's faster, and it has more RAM, a bigger screen, I could go on and on. Oh and did I mention HTC are shoving a 1.2Ghz Snapdragon CPU into their phones in the coming months? And they have dual core chips lined up for the end of the year? Such comparisons should be reserved when iphone 5 comes out.

I am so outraged that the memory is used up so easily by incoming picture messages and even after the pics are deleted the memory and the phone wears down! @HelloWaffle I got the phone. The battery is like the most touch phone batteries. If you use it a lot lifetime is about two days. Mine never freeze. atm mine got about 10.000 messages and this makes it a bit slow when using text messages. But it's a pretty nice phone. I am glad to have it :)

but i have to say, its as good a phone as any else, if not better. the windows OS makes things easy.

as for these 'apple' based people annoy me. I use both windows and an iMac, windows for designing and iMac for recording.

You can with this sophisticated pocket pc call without using a simcard! yes! if you have skype or msn messenger on it you can just go to a public place so that you surf for free and then just connect to yourskype and call wether a free skype2skype call or from your skype credit! I think this phone is too sophisticated for people who were used to using an ordinary cellphone. The original reviews (back over a year ago) that came from windows mobile users and such, were good for the HTC series of phones... but now, it seems too many mainstream users who aren't willing to learn how to use this piece of equipment to it's full capability are blaming the phone for being slow. It's not the fastest, but it works great.

You can install Android on the Diamond 100, 130, and 500 models...... so why should that be an issue?

Most people who are going to be buying a windows mobile device are those who need it for business (ie: it integrates well with Outlook and Outlook Exchange email servers), not because they want to waste hours playing with over-priced apps.

Android is going to be the best alternative, and HTC Diamond supports it.

As for over-priced apps - jailbreak takes 5minutes! xD Yea, iphone is more like a media-player games console, not a business phone, but u can do alot of things with it that you can do with WM. I had 4 WM phones(Samsung i600, HTC Cruise, HTC D900 and an Asus P552) and a blackberry 8310 before i got iphone 2g. And i still think the iphone was the best choice. I'm young, maybe with time i'll just see it as a game console.

Then place Your contacts as Favourite. Hope it helps.

I own this phone and In a way I agree with you that this phone is not easy to use as a Nokia or Sony Ericsson. However, if you do know how to use it, it's not "shite".

If you click the start button, there is a shortcut to the contacts and there is smart search of contacts as you type in the names, so i'm pretty sure 3 seconds can cover it.
