  • Re. The Terry Graham sessions (Four songs , Wighat , Sinners , and I think Thee Most Exalted Potentate , I forget.) , Nick was in the hospital , being treated for a rare viral infection of the eyes , which is why he wore shades all the time after that , not because he was trying to look like a handsomer Roy Orbison. I've only seen "Miss Me" once on You Tube , from the 90's , maybe? . It's possible , tho' not confirmed , that I know of, that the 76 - 77 band did it . Lux LOVED The Elevators.

  • @pfordsq Nick wore shades a lot anyway, haha. Thanks for the info. I've seen that "Miss Me" from the 90s, but I've been told they used to play it as a young band. Lux quoted them as his "favourite punk band" in an interview somewhere.

  • Can you share what Ivy said about this rare album? I'm happy to read she likes it. I know the folks that made it happen, they worked very hard on it and are true fans.

  • @charlyW34 She said it, I'm fairly certain, in a spoken interview with French tv show "Dig It", which is quite long and I'm not sure where. Pm me your email and I'll be happy to send you both mp3s! :)

  • Wow - this version is almost as tight as the original!

You've got some really classy taste - i dig your Richard Hell obsession. You should try checking out Heavy Trash some time - they mine similar territory to the Cramps

  • Hey thanks! You've got neat taste yourself... Richard Hell's noise is the bee's knees and he's a real nice guy too. Thanks for that, I'm looking them up right now! Message me any time to exchange suggestions x

  • Brilliant page and why didn't this song make it as a proper studio single release?

Or did it?-I've been listening to the Cramps 27 years and haven't seen it.

    Billy-FEAR INCORPORTED

  • Cheers! The only studio version I know of is one I believe unreleased till it came out on their sort-of retrospective "How To Make A Monster". So I think it's an easy one to step over accidentally

  • @MmeLEnfer You're right , "How To Make a Monster" contains the only officially released studio version (Terry Graham from The Gun Club played drums , as Nick was in the hospital.) , but , it's been widely booted. The band was still in their contract battle with I.R.S. and did more covers in their set so new originals would'nt get "The boot".. They did "Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White" (Standells) and "Hungry" (P. Revere and The Raiders) , too , but not with commercial release in mind.

  • @pfordsq Terry Graham, really! Big fan of the Gun Club. What was up with Nick? I guess that must have been around 1983, 1984. I could look it up. I love all the versions I've heard them doing "Don't Wear White". Some of those live versions, like this one, are better than a studio version could be. Know where I could get an mp3 of them doing "You're Gonna Miss me" by 13th Floor Elevators?
