good for you jimmy i used to drive a tractor trailer into manhattan every week and do several deliveries. One of which was on 8th and every week i would get a ticket for double parking because those parking enforcement officers would park along 8th for the entine day blocking the store fronts. When i saw one of them and asked if he thought it was fair that it cost my company $115 per week to make a delivery he said that they park that way because they can and suggested that i write him a ticket

good for you jimmy i used to drive a tractor trailer into manhattan every week and do several deliveries. One of which was on 8th and every week i would get a ticket for double parking because those parking enforcement officers would park along 8th for the entine day blocking the store fronts. When i saw one of them and asked if he thought it was fair that it cost my company $115 per week to make a delivery he said that they park that way because they can and suggested that i write him a ticket

So I'm sure there are those who would shrug their shoulders and say so what, that's such a small thing. Well, were does it stop? All government workers have the extreme honor to work for the taxpayer. Any abuse of that honor should be grounds for dismissal. I know how hard it is to be faithful to that code. While serving as a senior manager in government I was always shunned by other managers because I didn't believe in using my position. Eventually led to losing my position. Jimmy is right.

For those who don't know, the relaxed enforcement is applied to these guys because of their meeting. And the reason why they put those I.D. Cards their is so that it could in some way remind the officer of the presence of a meeting near by.

What a second..........if it is "relaxed enforcement day", then why are they going through the trouble of putting the placards in their window?
I would bet money if another car pulled up behind one of the off duty cars, parked illegally, but didn't have a placard, they would get a summons. So much for "relaxed enforcement". More like "preferential enforcement".
