You have rubbed Ron Paul's supporters the wrong way, just as with Noam Chomsky's supporters in your earlier vids. Conservatives need to openly state which libertarian ideals they support, and which they do not; and then they need to explain why (philosophically) they reject only certain aspects of liberty.
Give credit to Ronald Reagan for openly stating that the core of American conservatism is the philosophy of liberty.
A theory I have always liked is the one that says that losing candidates are good for an election (primaries or the big one) because they force the winning candidate closer to the will of the people. Ron Paul is one of the reasons (along with the Tea Party) that the current candidates have all moved to the right. That means that come November, the Dems will have to move further from the left. The race for POTUS is the big one but we have the entire House of Reps and 1/3 of the Senate too.
We have lost and are losing everyday our basic liberties. Government is the culprit. Unsupervised government will always make itself stronger at the expense of the governed. Always.
Ron Paul is the only candidate running who will change this process. ALL of the others, Republican and Democratic represent more of the same.

Since the Ron Paul campaign has created many libertarians and conservatives, there seems to be a strong emotional investment in him. The enthusiasm should die down after the election, but luckily this resurgence of paleoconservatism (conservatives before the adoption of progressive policies) should remain.
The problem is that we don't feel those are news worthy issues, we don't feel legalizing heroin or ending the CIA is crazy at all. We're pretty much angry that anyone can even think those are crazy ideas, since they make so much sense. It's just some natural anger over the utter lack of libertarian or conservative news outlets. Also add in the fact Ron Paul has significant youth support, and young people can get very enthusiastic.
Name-Calling: the favorite tactic of little children and people with weak minds and weak arguments. Who's patsy are you? Because you aren't a very good one. You should quit if you aren't fired first.

This whole issue is a smokescreen. Ron Paul is no racist. Every political election has mud slinging, that doesn't make anything said about someone's past true or accurate, unless you have fact. The newsletters have been around for years.
I don't think any of RP's ideas are crazy, but then again, maybe I'm crazy to think that our economy and currency are in such bad shape that Iran having a nuke or heroin being legal in some states for adults to use will be the least of our problems...

Since the Ron Paul campaign has created many libertarians and conservatives, there seems to be a strong emotional investment in him. The enthusiasm should die down after the election, but luckily this resurgence of paleoconservatism (conservatives before the adoption of progressive policies) should remain.

The problem is that we don't feel those are news worthy issues, we don't feel legalizing heroin or ending the CIA is crazy at all. We're pretty much angry that anyone can even think those are crazy ideas, since they make so much sense. It's just some natural anger over the utter lack of libertarian or conservative news outlets. Also add in the fact Ron Paul has significant youth support, and young people can get very enthusiastic.
