  • Thanks for the video but I seem to be having trouble reading the gauge instructions. For instance, it'll say 16 sts + 17 rows = 4". Now my question is, how do I know what stitch to use? Please help!

  • @latindansa - Gauge is always measured in stockinette stitch unless stated otherwise.

  • why don't you start from the edge? when you figure out how many sts per inch, is that what you start knitting?

  • @cheezymouseful - You don't start from the edge because edge stitches are distorted and you will not get accurate measurements.
