Ok i have to admit Matt spinning is a bit out of control but none the less it's still very nice!

I was a bit bewildered by this the first time I saw it, I think because it was so different to your 'typical' Strictly dance. But it gets better every time I rewatch it, and now I LOVE IT! Really expressive and moving, and Matt danced it beautifully.

Would have thought the judges ought to have appreciated how these two were pushing the envelope here. What did they want? A run-of-the-mill 'safe' dance? Humph.

this was my fav dance of Matt and Aliona and I was shocked of the judges response and feel they are trying to get the viewers not to like him--but i realy hope he wins as he has worked the hardest!!

Aleishas comments for this dance were so stupid I couldn't believe it and for Bruno to follow suit was so surprising. Len of all people I thought you would have got it. Craig was nearer the mark that any of the judges.

For Len to say that "if Aliona had to explain it then it hasn't worked " was ludicrous. She only had to explain it to the judges because they didn't get it!!! The audience obviously did and so did I!

Matt and Aliona you were awsome in this dance!

Alesha clearly doesn't like Matt so whatever happens, she won't mark him highly, but I'm not a huge fan of Aliona's choreograhy, I think it's a bit dull.

Love Matt though.

I don't know why the judges undermarked this cos it is absolutely beautiful. Love Aliona, she is an amazing choreographer and Matt is great! It was absolutely stunning and love the song! Love the beginning and love 1.31-1.34 and 0.31-0.36 love what Aliona's doing! Can't stop watching it again and I have to say n the results show loved James and Ola rumba - AMAZING!

This dance was so beautiful and so undermarked. Matt and Aliona are amazing together. Week by week their partnership is growing. This is one of the best routines I have ever seen on Strictly. I was mesmerised from beginning to end. The audience got it, I got it what is wrong with those judges?

@poshtamfan I totally agree. I was annoyed when Len said "if you have to explain it, it didn't work". I think the judges must have been watching a totally different dance to the one we were all watching!

If there was a competition for judges I would put alesha and Len at the bottom two. Their comments and marking are as good as Ann and Anton's dancing. No surprise they are still theire as Ann and Anton. The Public ....... them.

I am so mad at this weeks show. How can Aleesha give this an 8 when she gave Scott a 9? Scott messed up loads and almost stopped a couple of times, and whilst this isn't Matt's best dance he didn't make any mistakes and it was quite clean and sharpe. I feel sorry for him, the judges really don't like him at all and seem to nitpick at every little thing (remember the thumbs) but kiss Scott's arse so bad, and I think even he knows it now, he seemed genuinely shocked he got a 9 and knew he did bad!

i think Matt is amazing and I love all his other dances but am not to keen on this one. It didn't really work. But it was still miles better than scott's.

Thanks for putting this up, MrAtariST. This felt more like an interpretative dance of the song itself than an American Smooth to it. Matt danced beautifully, of course, but the judges seemed a bit cold about the choreography. I understand Aliona wants to take risks and push Matt but it felt like she went a bit too avant garde with this one. Still, amazing to watch, I was glued to the screen!

@bernicegrace Overcompensating out of sympathy for Scott's fatigue, perhaps? Or maybe just reacting to Craig's 6, which was a bit ridiculous. I think all the judges were a bit put off by the routine... but it's not Matt who makes up the routine!

@MsStarsea I wasn't that fond of the routine either but Matt danced it so beautifully. He should have got top score tonight, Pamela was good but not worthy of 10s and Scott was well over marked as usual, even he admited he messed up. But what annoys me is that everyone played on Scott being tired coz he has another job, well Matt has 2 shows to do as well as training for strictly and running his farm, but he's not complaining. Every week I find myself liking Matt a litte more!

@applebananapearmango I liked Pamela's dance and I do think it was the best of the night in that it met the judges' expectations while still having a risk factor. Craig undermarked Scott so the other judges overmarked to make up for that. I did roll my eyes when everybody talked about how hard Scott was working and nobody mentioned that Matt is now holding down TWO presenter jobs as well as training, but I couldn't find it in me to be annoyed with Scott because he looked dead on his feet.

@applebananapearmango Matt gave it all as he usually does, they can't fault him for that - indeed, I think Craig marked him up for it, which makes a nice change! Alesha did make a good point that Matt carries all his tension in his face and that can marr the dance a little.
