I got to meet Matt Pike (vocals, guitars) before their show; he was so friendly and humble, visiting with fans in the bar next to the venue, taking pictures with people, etc.. When I approached him as he was leaving he stopped, shook my hand, and personally thanked me for coming out. You couldn't ask a musician to do more to connect with his fans. Oh, and they sounded f*cking amazing.

I saw them live at The Milestone in Charlotte, NC (a very small bar).

They played with Carbomb (They were fucking terrible) and A Life Once Lost (They were very good live).

High On Fire put on a great show, full of energy and were very into the crowd.

One of the best shows I've ever been to.

Band is like a breathe of fresh air from all the copy cat metal bands out there! They actually write and play "music"...no wookie vocals, no double bass drums throughout the song, they use hooks and bridges, speed up and slow down the tempo of their songs and the guitar has a main role!
