I tried to post a link but the site wouldn't let me so just go to a site called factcheck its non-partisan and search viagra to find out the whole story.
The jokes on you - this is about an issue that had to do with pure GOP grandstanding; check it out for yourself. Don't play the fool for those who lie to you.
@Xapa21 I don't suppose you can cite any evidence to support this very interesting claim. Well, we're all waiting to see if this is just more grandstanding.
@Xapa21 Well, it took some searching to find your references, but here they are: bit-ly: 9n7pef - full text of _____ / bit-ly: cbQFPH - pages 1001-1008.
1st - this "bill" has no number - HR _____
2nd - this "bill's" name: "Americas Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009" is not the Health care act; which is: "H.R. 3590: Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act"
Why do we care what this piece of nothing contains? Any more citations?
3rd - where in this non-specific document does it use "mandatory implanted chips", or refer to such "chips" in any way that infers or implies that said chips implantation is mandatory?
Are you ashamed at making this stuff up; or are you simply following talking points and unable to look for and find the truth yourself? Really.
@Xapa21 What a joke you are! You take this seriously, until it is clearly shown that you have no facts on your side. Then it becomes nothing of concern. I think that simplistic political beliefs based on political candidates near-lying and obvious misdirection IS important.
Benton is trying to fool the public for political gain with obvious tactics; and you and others are falling for it. Stand up for yourself; don't be fooled or play the fool. The Tea Party movement is all about dumping bums.
I am so tired of misinformation and stretched truths. More smoke doesn't clear the air or address real issues. This must have been made on one of the other candidates running against Benton. If this is really from Benton, he lost my vote.
I live in CA and pretty much vote Democrat. This video doesn't address my pet issues, or involve my candidates. But that's not the point. The point is that much of our political discourse and advertising is deceptive and steeped in hyperbole. Meanwhile, this video is straightforward, non-inflammatory, and doesn't insult anybody's intelligence. Congrats to the media company or consulting firm that put it together. And to Don Benton, good job -- you hired the right people!
If you were aware of the circumstances on this issue, you would see that it is pure hyperbole. This is all about politics, not policy. Look it up and find out when the vote occurred. Read more than one source. You'll find it is trying to fool voters, not make serious policy commentary.
Any serious congressperson would have already passed the amendment if that was the intent. Think about it.
Actually, this video hides the plain truth; Sen Coburn only proposed his Viagra amendment to stop reconciliation. He never tried during open debate, or since bill passage.
Where is this issue now? Who is trying to move it forward? If it is as good of an idea as described, he might get many co-sponsors and easy passage on its merits (not on political gamesmanship). Will he? Will any Republican?
These types of trumped up issues are feeble as they are so easily explained and debunked.
