Yes, if you and your friend want to fight, then you don't need to use wifi, because if you want to fight other people than your friend then, you need to get wifi.

u can catch dialga in diamond and polkia in pearl also theres like 5 pokeon that r unique to each game also there r more ledgendarys that are unique so mostly the pokemon u can catch

The last time i played a Pokemon game was waaaaay back when gold came out so yea i've missed alot and am definately getting this. I really like how they revamped all the moves to make them look so much cooler. In gold it was just a little nudge of the Pokemon to represent that it moved and a splash of white to show that it hit.

they are pretty much the same.. with a few differences in text and certain pokemon.. i think palkia is better than dialga because it has a type advantage and also its main move 'spacial rend' doesnt require you to miss a turn afterwards.. but yeah.. its really up to ypu.. i chose pearl.. the majority of people go for diamond i think.. yeah =]

most people seem to sway towards the title which is said first in the pair, Diamond, Gold, Ruby, Red.... it's all following the same pattern :S

i disagree that you say palkia is best i think Dialga is best cause he is a dragon steel type and palkia is a dragon water type but that is my opinion and im not saying palkia is good.

Both are very identical, but depending on what pokemon you will be looking for (when you get the national dex)will be different examples are

Mighteyana: Diamond Only

Houndoom: Pearl Only

Dialga: Diamond Only

Palkia: Pearl Only

The exeption is that you can trade or cheat to get these pokemon.

(they have copyrighted certain names that they wud use for the remakes.. plus there are so many hints and references in d/p.. if u look into it enough, you will find loads.. google is ur friend =P)
