Sarah McLachlan has made a perfect Album indeed....Fumbling Towards Ecstasy is one of My favorite Albums because it's very personal and confessional in a very poetic and ethereal way and I love confessional Albums.
A frightening song lyric wise...terrifying story behind those words. Only Sarah could pull out perfection with words of obsession, aggression, fear and insanity-that's why she IS the lady we all love.
Talented, she writes her own songs lyrics and music. Name a pop or R & B or rap for that matter star that actually can play instruments and write complete songs.... NONE.
Don't know what is about this girl that always has me mesmerized, I listen to her everyday, and still amazes me, Sarah, I'd like to be like you when I grow up, hehe, :)
Man, I miss Ralph Benmergui. Before the advent of gossip tv and politicians sons getting jobs in tv, Ralph was all over the CBC. What is Ralph doing now...the last I saw of him was some kind of town meeting, question period, TV talk show.
Wow, I'll bet you feel good about yourself for your amazing review. It's LIVE TO AIR, the first time she ever performed it in public and your comment is bum note?
@RubberWilbur Was that really a mistake, though? I've heard her play it that way another time, as well. I really like it. It's not what I'm expecting and the effect is very raw and dark and makes me question if it really belongs...and somehow it seems to belong. I can see why others wouldn't like it, though.
its on the cd you just have to let it keep counting after the last song just let the disc player keep counting.the song is hidden unless u let it count till it comes to the song.its really great. one of the coolest songs done like that.she looks so edible here yumm yummy.what a hot women, peace.

This is so amazing. And I love that the interviewer asked about the "jump" her voice does sometimes. I have always wondered about that.

Even at this early age she was still considered a professional. I was simply pointing it out. I am a Sarah fan.

i watched this!! it was on at some ridiculous late night hour and i was mad that nobody was gonna see it.
this was done while she was in the middle of recording the CD. When it was released i wondered what happened to this song i remembered hearing.
there is a similar version on the disc, i think she couldn't decide which one she prefers.

I love the clam at 2:54
not a criticism. I'm a musician and I know what defines us as artists.
Notice how she intentionally plays the clam afterwards to make it into a purposeful statement!
Play a "wrong" not once and its a mistake. Play it twice and its "right"!
