  • Sarah makes No "bum note"

  • This is so amazing. And I love that the interviewer asked about the "jump" her voice does sometimes. I have always wondered about that.

  • Sarah McLachlan has made a perfect Album indeed....Fumbling Towards Ecstasy is one of My favorite Albums because it's very personal and confessional in a very poetic and ethereal way and I love confessional Albums.

  • Bum Note my ass. If thats the way it came out then thats the way its supposed to be.Clean the wax out of your ears dude..

  • A frightening song lyric wise...terrifying story behind those words. Only Sarah could pull out perfection with words of obsession, aggression, fear and insanity-that's why she IS the lady we all love.

  • talented?

  • @karabinas

Talented, she writes her own songs lyrics and music. Name a pop or R & B or rap for that matter star that actually can play instruments and write complete songs.... NONE.

  • Awesome, good music and nice interview!

  • MORE MORE !

  • Love her...this is so raw it's better than the overdubbed, newer stuff.

  • Don't know what is about this girl that always has me mesmerized, I listen to her everyday, and still amazes me, Sarah, I'd like to be like you when I grow up, hehe, :)

  • Goose bumps anybody?

  • Great song, but it needs some driving bass guitar.

  • She inspires me as a singer, songwriter, and a pianist.

  • Man, I miss Ralph Benmergui. Before the advent of gossip tv and politicians sons getting jobs in tv, Ralph was all over the CBC. What is Ralph doing now...the last I saw of him was some kind of town meeting, question period, TV talk show.

  • Bum note at 2:53

  • Wow, I'll bet you feel good about yourself for your amazing review. It's LIVE TO AIR, the first time she ever performed it in public and your comment is bum note?

  • Even at this early age she was still considered a professional. I was simply pointing it out. I am a Sarah fan.

  • @qualityshows This is not the first time she has performed Possession in public

  • @RubberWilbur Was that really a mistake, though? I've heard her play it that way another time, as well. I really like it. It's not what I'm expecting and the effect is very raw and dark and makes me question if it really belongs...and somehow it seems to belong. I can see why others wouldn't like it, though.

  • its on the cd you just have to let it keep counting after the last song just let the disc player keep counting.the song is hidden unless u let it count till it comes to the song.its really great. one of the coolest songs done like that.she looks so edible here yumm yummy.what a hot women, peace.

  • simple yet powerful

  • i watched this!! it was on at some ridiculous late night hour and i was mad that nobody was gonna see it.

this was done while she was in the middle of recording the CD. When it was released i wondered what happened to this song i remembered hearing.

there is a similar version on the disc, i think she couldn't decide which one she prefers.

  • I love the clam at 2:54

not a criticism. I'm a musician and I know what defines us as artists.

Notice how she intentionally plays the clam afterwards to make it into a purposeful statement!

Play a "wrong" not once and its a mistake. Play it twice and its "right"!

  • And she loves the" Lydian" sound!!!

  • This is such a beautiful version.

  • wow... what a treasure to hear this song during its initial phase.

  • Simply brilliant :-) as always
