Read Paul McGuire's, "the Day the Dollar Died"...Ramsey is a fine human, but the church is not prepared for what is coming! Ramsey does not know who truly runs/owns the Fed. reserve.

I've read Financial Peace, Money Makeover, etc and his ministry works! He parallels the financial storms of life to the lessons of the Bible through his knowledge of economics and finance. The scripture tells us in Proverbs 29:25 - The fear of man is a cause of danger: but whoever puts his faith in the Lord will have a safe place on high. Luke 6:48 tells us to build our foundation on solid rock. This storm like many is temporary but how we rebuild our foundation will be measured for eternity!

Dave said an incorrect and scary thing. "I choose to not participate in this recession." Why scary? Because God has said, "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction...Gal. 6:7-8. Men collectively for 30 years in this nation have sown a lifestyle as if there is no God. We are now reaping that harvest; God disciplining us. How can one NOT participate in God working in our life?

without you feeling attacked, how do I say this... you're twisting his words. The nation is participating in the recession, it's a fear driven problem, and to not participate is to not give into the fear and take out your money or spend it so much as the government wants everyone too... especially when it's money people don't even have. Dave is not misleading anyone, he's right... I'm in his classes, it's the best class I've probably ever paid for to learn something from.

I signed up to lead a FPU group. I think it is great too. I just disagreed on one point. If the recession is a result of sowing corrupt spending, people living in debt- a slave to this world, then we will reap the consequences- what ever those are- and you cannot escape. God is not mocked...I didn't think the 90 Minute town hall presented what this commercial said. So that is good. I don't think one can NOT participate in God's discipline. I believe He is disciplining us through this recession.

While I agree that no one can escape God's discipline, people... at least most people aren't going to recognize it as that, most are going to look for someone to blame if it gets worse as I heard it would years ago. We'll wait and see though... it'll take it's course. I didn't get to see the town hall for hope tho, I was at work.. waiting for them to get it online.
