  • Okay, pick a window...

  • 737-700 would be a double decker plane! Now that would have been interesting! I'm not saying A380 but the existing built of plane but now double decker passengers only!

  • oh my god the wing is bent! har har

  • i just flew from Maurisius to Johannesbourg, and landed in a thunderstorm.alot of turbulence + a lighting strike VERY close from the wing. it was yestoday.

  • No sir its a flying airplane 360 with a 450-6710 +tax and what not,

  • Why is everybody so judging? Maybe he was scared and you wouldnt. Everybody feel anxiety of different things.

  • planes are build to withstand MINOR turbulence like the one you experienced.

  • All that rain, oh my it must of caused so much issues! -______- it was rain how is that scary

  • i can say this much i aint never flew and never will

  • ATC let the flight up so the weather was not that bad

  • YOU NOT SUPPOSE TO TURN ON YOUR CELL WHILE YOU ARE FLYING !!!!!

  • @yohwij Phones can be on, but regulations state that you need to turn off the service. It doesn't interfere with anything anyway, and the rules are just there so flights don't wind up having chattery little punks the whole time.... I wonder when they'll ban children.

  • @FuzedBox Couldn't agree more! Kids up to 4 can't board a plane, hows that?

  • My fucking window would be closeddd

  • Oh my bad I they still fly 737s but no 747s

  • @CaptainBayluk us air does fly 737s I was on one last month

  • isnt that a 737-300/500?

  • May I ask what was scary? I'm currently a 747-400 pilot for US Airways and noticed nothing wrong. Have a good day.

  • @CaptainBayluk

US Airways does not fly 747-400's

  • @CaptainBayluk

I fly the 747-400 in the U.S. for transporting items such as Cargo and Cars.

; U.S. Airways doesn't fly 747's for passengers, but for cargo. I have 21,078 hours under my belt and have some-one insulting me that I don't fly. Are you a pilot? Do you have your PPL,CPL,IFR,VFR,M-ER,ATP and 1st class medical? I doubt it. Have a nice day sir.

  • @CaptainBayluk Don't bother the guy. He's one of the many Youtube Aviation Experts.

Those who have the privilege to work in the industry know better then that ;-)

  • the scary part was when the wing moved!

  • The scariest part about this flight is landing in Jersey

  • Did you see a beast on the wing during the flight?

  • @blempo ROFL!!! I almost forgot about that episode of the Twilight Zone! XD

  • @MSSpenceProductions. Ahhh, COA now operates under a single operators certificate and it's called "United" unfortunately!

  • Thats a great flight!! Not scary, fly Southwest sometimes that will scare the piss out of you!!

  • thats not scary at all...

  • Wow. That was terrifying

  • How's this even remotely scary? It's a completely routine flight.

  • Your lucky... Continental held me up for 9 hours trying to go to hong kong and gave us nothing for their stupidity

  • Way to shut down all electronics

  • Lol you think that's alot of rain? Try the Pennsylvania flood of 2011. Yes, I was in it, and it was terrible.

  • continental isnt going anywhere thyre merging with united both very good airline companies, unlike american haha

  • "please disable all electronic devices during take off and landing"

  • go jersey!!!!!

  • MrJerseymedia Are you sure this was a -700? The wing looks like an 737 Classic, maybe a -500.

  • You thought that was scary? lmao. Your definately not ready for an approach during a severe thunderstorm. Did it once and do not wanna do it again, I did not know a jet plane could bend like that. When we got off that plane, it took a while digging the underwear from between our but cracks, lol. Pucker factor 95%

  • GO ATLANTA

  • thats what instruments are for when there is no visibility

  • STOP! I THINK I SAW A MONSTER RIPPING OUT THE ENGINE!

  • The driver is a hottie.

  • Yeh, I see what you mean. It looks like you were about to die.

  • thats a 737-300 or 500. the 737-700/800/900 dont have flaps like that

  • @AcePilotFilms &37-300 dont have winglets

  • @MultiTrackstar101 some of them do. many boeing aircraft that dont have winglets have had them added for more efficiency. southwest had started installing winglets to their 737 in 2007, and i believe continental did the same a year or two later.

  • This is not a 737-700 its a 737-300

  • @TruthVsLiars are you sure its not a 737-800??

  • @gspfan93 Two ways to know this is a 737-300. The mechanisms under the flaps (sorry I forgot what they are called) come to a point whears a 737-800 is rectangular shaped.

    2. If you look at the engine it is connected to the wing in the front and a section of the weight also goes a few feet behind the wing. 737-500,600,700,800,900 don't extend behind the wing.

  • "Lucky" to land in New Jersey? Isn't that called an oxymoron or something? :)

  • It wasn't dangerous but it looks stormy :)

  • the $18 a day that EWR charges for long term parking in P6 is more terrifying!

  • i fuckin hate planes man if there's one thing im scared of that would have to be it.

  • Okay obviously you have never been on a plane before. lol You were going through clouds dude. Hate to see you on a real scary flight.....

  • "Plane was rocking pretty good at this time".. Yeah.. You're in clouds.. it's called turbulence.

  • scared of rain? LOL

  • Normal lah!! Where got Scary? First time sit plane?

  • puss

  • No one looks like they're slowing down, very easy to hydroplane in weather like that

  • Looked rather routine to me. Good job listening by turning off all electronic devices below FL100...

  • I flew from ATL to EWR on a 737-500.

  • @forceball1 cool story bro

  • I just said that looks like Atlanta before anyone started talking! I love that city.

  • wow, your such a wanker

  • Sooo, at which point in the vid was my hair supposed to stand...???

  • That was a cool video. I liked your comments in there and the leadup to the flight was cool. Looks like the cloud ceiling was around 3-4, 000 ft. which means you hit some wind going up. . .that can get really hairy.

  • That scared you? Sweetie you need to fly more.

  • Sorry but that is not 737-700, it's a 737-500 with winglets :)

  • Where´s the scary part ..?

  • ,mk mnb,,,,,,,,,,,,,,k bvcnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnmm nk,lbnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • FYI - for future reference... ask any pilot on the planet and they'll tell you that the smoothest flying is in light rain.

Generally speaking... winds are low, the moisture in the air allows the atmosphere to be more stable. it's only when you get into and directly above convective clouds that you get some "rock."

  • Normal occurence when flying thru rainclouds.

  • There is nothing dangerous about flying through rain and clouds...

  • That wasn't scary. Planes are supposed to do that in storms. I was on SWA at 25K feet during a storm and wind gusts were so bad that at one time, the wind blew up under the plane and the plane banked to the right and the plane was almost flying on its side. THAT'S SCARRY. Ppl were screaming and bouncing all over the plane. I pooped my pant but it made for a good amusement park ride!!!!

  • wow you got the Lufthansa bird in there, very rare.

  • LOL flight noob if he thinks that's scary xD

  • The airline pilots are trained to fly in IFR conditions, which means that they can fly in even bad weather, as long as it's not like, let's say, a hurricane.

  • The pilot was doing a good job and trying to wash his airplane.

  • So, other than the drive to the airport in the rain, and some unthinking passenger who refused to follow the orders to turn off all electronic devices during take-off and landing, How was this such a dangerous adventure?

  • good landing!!!

  • thats a 737-800?

  • @TheDolkillya no it's a stelath bomber XD

  • @TheDolkillya

he said it was a 737-700 thats why i said that xD

  • @TheDolkillya Nope. It's a classic (either -300 or -500). I do not know which, but it is certainly NOT a -700.

  • I just left EWR today! LOLzz

  • not even scary

  • Definitely not a 737 NG.

  • @aviationfrk

    Definitely a Stealth Bomber.

  • that's a 737-300 dumb.....

  • @autr727 its a -500 their 300's dont have winglets

  • why didnt you fly Delta

  • Nothing wrong or scary at all. Nice job Continental Airlines! You will be missed.

  • @mymbe430 bye bye continental, stupid united...Continental will be greatly misses like we miss NWA..

  • @mymbe430 they are not gone.

  • your friend who drove you to the airport is hot, is he single?

  • wow just landed here but on a 767-400 i dont want to be mean but continental pilots suck very hard landing he did and kept tilting left and right crazy pilots dont want to fly with them again

  • @0wexfaron Any landing you can walk away is good landing, and not every landing is perfect. Hardness of landing has nothing to do with pilot skills, or would you rather have pilots who try smooth landing too much and then overrun end of the runway?

And also this flight seen on the video isnt dangerous at all, average storm causes no danger to jets and you would be in bigger danger driving in that (or any) weather.

  • Definately a Boeing 737-300 or 500 series, because I can tell by looking at the flap track fairing covers. The tips come to a point. On the new generation (700, 800 and 900), they have flared tips.

  • Wrong plane thats actually a 737-300/500

  • thats sick

  • i love atlanta live there!

p.s. am i the only one who isnt afraid of landing becase i hate take off but love landing. I DONT SEE HOW ITS SCARY!

  • i love atlanta live there!

  • thats not scary at all

  • i would have been a little nervous flying through this as well, but i'd hardly call it dangerous. if the weather conditions were dangerous, the pilot would not have been allowed to takeoff

  • I love airplanes so much its weird esp cause they scare the shit out of me i grab the seat when taking off and random people next to me are like are you ok? im like yes haha but i love it i've flown 18times so you know ;)

  • @Marnizzle0121 i have fly my whole life a couple times per year and a year ago i watched air crash investigation and now i am kinda scared but my dad is a pilot so that makes me feel bettter

  • @plukroos Lol same here! i was the KLM crash in the fog and ever since ive been scared to fly but i still love it

  • i got scared at Louisville,KY leaving my aunts house because of little drizzle!!! but this dude, i give ya credit.

  • what seat # is this

  • not even scary, been on a lot worse out of ATL

  • As far as dangerous flying goes, on a scale of 1 - 10, with ten being the most dangerous, this rates about a 2. This wasnt scary, you're just a little pussy on an airplane. I also liked how you cut to the landing right as you were starting to fly into the thickest part of the clouds, demonstrating that you also have no video camera skills.

  • You didn't arrive "luckily", pilot rules! ;-) ^^

    Anyway great vid thx

  • no it dont i hate turbulence cloudy ok but this awfule go on quantas better airline

  • When I lived in Atlanta rain like that always made me nervous after the first tornado watch... After hundreds of flights turbulence like that still makes me tense up a bit!

  • oh sorry Continental airlines

  • what airline is that

  • @horselover1984 read the title

  • Those kind of flights only make you stronger and you get used to it!

  • @themaxklm before you say something, find out :))) B733 and B735 can have winglets, and some airlines have installed them on their 737 classics :) for example southwest and airBaltic

  • thats 737-300 or 500 not 700, i can see that by flaps

  • I'd be crying....I hate flying

  • @christytina81

    Me too....

  • This flight is not so scarry ad all..

  • It is Boeing 737-500 but isn't Boeing 737-700 :-) Great video !

  • I remember riding into Houston Hobby lighting and hevey rain. By the time we had checked in and I aboard the flight things had chilled out.

  • seems like a scary landing... the plane was tilted when it touched down =\

  • ive been on a scarier flight;flight JJ8080 gru-jfk,extreme crosswind,i saw the kitchen's cupboards open by itself and soda cans were rolling everywhere!by the way, nice vid.is it actually fun to ride thru a storm?i never flew on a rainy day!

  • luckily!!???? it was God having mercy on your ungrateful soul....

  • i remember a very turbulent(!!) landing in San Francisco on a United DC-6B--plane did it just fine but watching those wings flex up and down! The worst that I ever experienced was the third time i flew to NY- when JFK was Idlewild on a Northwest Orient Stratocruiser---now THAT was a RIDE!!!

  • @Ms11565 Cool!

  • nice....old 737 fitted with winglets

  • @jameswarren24 ur right thats not a -700

  • @dzmann410 not really. Some -700 versions do have the winglets.

  • You took off on time? O_O

  • What was the scary bit?..only some weather, I was on a flight over the bay of bengal and we were in the middle of an electrical storm...that was scary.

  • If you think flying is "scary" and "dangerous", just think about the facts:

    - Anyone can drive, but pilots are trained professionals

    - Roads are much more crowded than the sky

    - ATC prevents most collisions

    - Pilots have to pass a sobriety test BEFORE flying

    - Planes have several backup hydraulic systems so pilot can remain in control if one is severed

    - Planes have autopilot

    - Planes have ILS

    - Flying is 20 times safer in the U.S. than driving

  • @pikapoketpu all legitimate facts. isn't it amazing that a lot of rational humans are still scared of flying? or at least have anxiety when flying. it must be something about the fact that you are going hundreds of miles an hour at tens of thousands of feet of altitude.

  • @jkjl234 YES but driving your going dozens of mph in a swarm of other cars on a crowded interstate? the traffic driving to dfw is TERRIFYING

  • This is most certainly a 500 series, as I've flown on their older 737's before. I thought it was a -300 until I saw the EFIS cockpit. So like I said 737-500.

    Cheers and great video!

  • @N121WW no "efis" cockpit was shown... just the wing

  • This is most definitely a classic, either the dash 300 or 500! Both models were retrofitted with winglets by Continental and both were still in service at the time this video was posted. the nextgen's (600-900) utilise a different flap configuration. As boomer757 correctly pointed out the NG's don't have 'booms' trailing off the engine mountings, these were dispensed with with the arrival of new engines on to the wing in order to eliminate flutter and improve aerodynamics.

  • its a B737-500 for sure. they got new winglets installed. also the part on the back of the wing that seperates the outer part of the wing from the inner. im telling you right now, B737-500. Continental doesnt own 737-400's,,us airways does. look up continental flights to atlanta, they use 737-500's. not their 700's or 800's. all ur facts. That is a B737-500

  • @pilotofa737 You need to get your facts right! Continental does fly 737-800 and 737-700's to ATL. Not everday but they do more in the Spring, Winter, and Fall.

  • Definately not! It IS a -700/800! 300/400 do not have winglets!

  • @mrbk1234 wrong dude... airlines DO INSTALL winglets at their 737 -300, -400, -500 google it and you'll see

  • @rickyguti well not -400s, but yeah

  • @mrbk1234 -300s and -500s can have winglets. and this is a -500

  • that is a 737-300/400 not 700

  • Nice vid but I'm from the Netherlands and we do have this type of weather very often, if not all the time, so to us this (unfortunately) is no big deal. Commercial aircraft (within reasonable limits) can take this kind of meteorological abuse without a problem..

  • great vid!

  • this isnt a 737-700, its a -300 or -500, as you can see around the 2:00 mark, theres an oddly shaped flap canoe, the next generation 737's dont have this odd flap appendage.

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we love flying?

    (2) Why do we love the "feeling of turbulence" when travelling in the air?

For me, I enjoy some turbulence during air travel, but I do not know why.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)
