  • It's verry cute and even if she just memorise the book its still very smart for a 2 years old

  • So cute

  • of corse shes asian

  • WOW!! AMAZING :) Way to go kid!!

  • omg sooo so cute and smart :D

  • @Last0faDyingBreed that is so immature and rude. How would you know this baby is Chinese? All you should have said was Asian but even then that's so ignorant. They obviously aren't forcing there kids to be the best or read. Especially since the kid is so excited and happy to learn. Its just how they teach their kids. Judgmental much?

  • Wow. Good job parenting!

  • Just like Matilda

  • She is doing really well! I am interested to see this, as my daughter has been 'reading' by memorization for a while. She is 2.5 now but has started to read words phonetically now, I posted a video of it, but basically she can read 3-4 letter words as long as they are phonetically spelt. I have never done any flash cards or taught her any reading by sight words. She is just a natural learner and picks things up! Good job Felicity!

  • I taught a girl to read at her age also, I just posted a video of it.

  • It would be difficult to memorize all that. If a child is smart enough they could learn to read at a small age.

  • Still pretty good for 2. Mine likes to read but she makes up her own stories.

  • shes so cute and wen she grows up shes going to be extra smart

  • of course shes chinese!

  • she s absolutly adorable. soooooooooooo smart!!! Good job!!!:)

  • thats so cute how she actis and changes her voice tone as she turns the page, she gets excited

  • I noticed she is wearing a watch. Does she know how to tell time?

  • If your definition of reading is phonetical reading, then yes, you are correct. The video shows "whole word" or "sight" reading. Babies start of reading that way and progress to reading phonetically (by intuiting the phonics rules) over time. Read up about the Whole Words vs Phonics debate on the BrillBaby site.

  • Please...don't every criticize a child like that! What is wrong with you!! That's how one learn to read by memorizing words before they can spell and read. Besides, this was recorded two years ago so I assumed she know these words with meanings by now.

  • oh my goodness!!!!that's soooo good!!she is sooo cute too!!

  • omg how cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • it is sooo cute how she express her actions lol!!! "Oh no they cut cinderella's dress!" How cute!!!

  • wow thats funny

  • ohhh my gawd! she's so amazing. can't wait till my baby learns to read like her :)

  • Hi, I'd just like to say I LOVE watching Felicity read! She is so adorable! She makes me want one of my own. She's SO SO SO cute. I've watched this video like five times and I don't get tired of it. It's just too cute.

As far as the sight reading debate, I'd like to throw in that I was baby reader, back before it became more popular and I have always scored extremely high and Language Arts, English, and Writing!

Good job! She's smart! No denying that.

  • Oops, I meant I was a baby reader.

And I always scored extremely high in Language Arts, English, and Writing.

    Sorry about my grammar mistakes.

  • Not only can she read, she understands the semantic meaning of the words, which is fairly impressive, yelling at the appropriate points of exclamation.

  • Your child is very smart.

  • I think what you mean is that she is not reading phonetically. If so, that's partly right. At that age, she could read phonetically, though far from perfectly, of course, and no doubt that sight-reading/whole word recognition (what you call "memorization") plays a large part (esp with being able to read that book fluently). Babies start of reading by whole word recognition, then slowly pick up the phonetic patterns. See the BrillBaby site for the whole word vs phonics discussion/debate.

  • my daughter will be reading like this! i cant wait!!

  • can she read time? shes wearing a watch really she cud skip kindergarden and 1st grade at the age of 3 she'll probably be offered in advance to harvard for all we know she is so cute

  • I am actually enjoying her reading the book! Well done, you guys. She's a gem! :))

  • gosh she is so good.. she is so smart...

  • She's amazing!!!!!! Just disregard what jealous people are saying. You are doing an awesome job with Felicity. Anyone may purchase the program but you have to be a dedicated parent to get amazing results!!

  • 5 stars 4 uu!!!!! u are a genius!

  • all you ppl saying that she is just repeating whats been read to her each night YOU ARE JUST JEALOUS THAT YOUR KIDS ARE NOT THIS SMART! you ppl are sick to insult a small child instead of being wowed that she is so cute and smart.

  • it's amazing how she has the initiative to even finish the book... your kid is really talented... and fyi i watched all her reading videos starting from her 12 months of age, then until i watched this,... i also watched her dancing, drawing and singing... she's such an adorable little girl...

And most people would question how your child is very talented, but i tell them this: most children would not speak until they are bet. 1 & 2 years, and to read is a very hard thig for most toddlers... ^-^

  • shes really good..her parenst are every lucky to have Felicity...good luck and more power....

  • WOW!!!!

  • I can't imagine that she would be able to read these words at such a young age, but I don't want to say it's impossible. Whether she really is reading or she memorized each page, I think she's very advanced for a two year old, and of course very cute!

  • A small part of it is because she's read the book before, and is therefore familiar with it. However, even though it would be less 'smooth' (due to unfamiliarity), you could pick up any children's book and she would read most if not all of it.

  • omg amazing and she sounds so cute.lol i love it when children are raised by good people high 5 to you guys..keep up the good work.

  • A two year old wouldn't be able to remember word-for-word what a person just said.

The child would get too bored as well from doing this, so I don't think this is what is happening here.

  • Firstly, the film could be shown in its entirety, except it's something like 6 minutes long with all the side distractions and on her constant 'commenting' on what was happening! :) And meinnnit, you're right in that little kids have an amazing memory, but that doesn't mean that they can't read. The fact is that she'd be able to read even a brand new book, though it may be less 'smooth' due to lack of familiarity. See her other reading videos, as well as those of many others on Youtube.

  • Actually they could. Once a child learns how to read they start reading Everything... Store front signs, billboards, magazine covers. My kid was an early reader and I was amazed at how aware she was of the words around her. Every where she went ppl were amazed that she could just read whatever caught her attention.

  • @Aeris0Rocks My 2 year old remembers pretty well her books, she has been 'reading' them just by memorizing them since she was less than 2. I think it's totally possible to do it, but I do agree with you that she is actually reading by sight words!

  • She is awesome you guys have done a great job keep up the good work she is reading the same book my daughter is reading at the age of 6 years old

  • She substituted Cinderalla with "She" and did some interpretation in the middle. Adorable and amazing.

Hope you don't pressure her development too much when she gets older.

  • AMAZING

  • reading or recalling from memory? either way it's a talent!

  • She is so cute and she is a genius to i think she is not pampered u teach her well good parenting 5 stars .and when she reads its so cute like the part when she said:Surprise!

  • thats a great book

  • i could read when i was two also. i just wish i could find the video to put it on here

  • Amazing
