Incredible! I personally prefer Liqin and I cannot recall seeing him being so dominated. Hao's backhand is undoubtedly the best overall, very few mistakes and well placed. This was the best game I have seen from Hao so far
The first game point that Wang Hao was so dirty. Clearly a double touch and Wang Liqin knew it. Wang Hao was pretty bm for denying it. I hope Wang Hao gets trashed on forums for that.
I guess important games like this, Wang Hao has to be focused on what is on hand and what the umpire said. If the umpire said nothing Wang has to concentrat to the next game without side tracks.

sounds like they still use speed glue, if anyone sees this i am so desperatley in need of a substitue for a boosted hurricane 2, i am not able to dominate points as previously and have been trying out different products since about after the olympics, some epoch bomb rubbers are ok and skyline 3 is good as well but they are nowhere near a glued hurrican 2, let me know aht you have tried if anyone has found a replacement for a boosted hurricane 2
It is unfortunate that just when Wang Hao became best, they banned speed glue which is very hard for him to get used to. RBH is very technical in that respect. Now that he and his coach have adjusted his technique, he is once again on top.
Wang Liqin has always been the one who he has to beat years ago. Now they meet again in the finals. It is fine that Wang Hao is very aggressive in this match.
Using many blocks and playing in diffensive manner is one of Wang Liqin's tactics when he's in a bad situation. But in this match he was playing diffensively all the time. This is because he knew he would not able to win Wang Hao if he played offensively. This was really a dissapointing match, and Wang Liqing's retirement has become certain.
i disagree as wang can still make it to the finals unlike many of the overly praised european players that do not rank very well or make it anywhere really at all and never retire

So it wasn't really fair even from beginning. It's even visible that Wang Liqin's forehand is weaker than b4. Most of his winners are from counter drive, not killer-power drive as b4.
after the glue ban is when you have seen his dcline on the fh, i have the same prblem and have been trying out dofferent rubbers since january 2009, the skyline 3 is ok unglued and some of epoxh bomb rubbers are working ok but i no longer dominate drastically at the clubs i play at as i did prior to glue ban so i know exactly what wang is going through,i cant find a replacement rubber for a glued hurricane 2

Wang Li Qin thought Wang Hao double-touched the ball (fingers then rubber). The ball came off the bat slower than normal, which is an obvious sign.
Same thing happened in Wang Hao's match against Timo Boll in '09 Kuwait Open, except this time he owned up to it.

You could try Tibhar Clean Tuning, or something similar from Joola and Stiga. They are VOC free, so could not be detected.

It is unfortunate that just when Wang Hao became best, they banned speed glue which is very hard for him to get used to. RBH is very technical in that respect. Now that he and his coach have adjusted his technique, he is once again on top.
Wang Liqin has always been the one who he has to beat years ago. Now they meet again in the finals. It is fine that Wang Hao is very aggressive in this match.

Using many blocks and playing in diffensive manner is one of Wang Liqin's tactics when he's in a bad situation. But in this match he was playing diffensively all the time. This is because he knew he would not able to win Wang Hao if he played offensively. This was really a dissapointing match, and Wang Liqing's retirement has become certain.

i disagree as wang can still make it to the finals unlike many of the overly praised european players that do not rank very well or make it anywhere really at all and never retire

why does everyone always pull the waldner card? look at any other player in thier prime? look at WLQ in his pime, and now etc. waldner was a great player sure, but my is is WLQ still ranks high,as in high not just an all time legend etc but still ranks well and makes it into the finals and actively competes and people think his career is over,he may not get over ma lin or wang hao, and really, nearly nobody does, but he can get over nealry everyone else

im not, you are, you pulled the wladner card, im comparing WLQ to all overly praised euro players that don't rank highly or regularly make it passed players from china or south korea in general, yeah we get it you love waldner.none get passed ma lin and wang hao,WLQ gets closer,just because he doesn't surpass hao and ma does not mean his career is over,im not sure what all the hype that he's done is about,given no players can pass hao or ma, everyones prime & careers are over, including waldner

Prime means the best they have played in their career....therefore if you are not in your prime it doesn't mean your career is over.
WLQ wasn't around in the days of walder Therefore you can't expect to see walder around in the days of WLQ
The reason why they don't make it past highly ranked chines players is because they are OLD!!

WLQ is defending & returning champion last year for this tournament,made it 2 finals he had 2 hv played well,not out of his prime IMHO,ma&hao are rising,not sure how u figured his prime was 2-3 years ago,overly praised euro players r all those other bags that dont rank,take ur pick,ittf are racist & do everything to stop chinese like change ball size,ban glue,ban nationalization of chinese to other countries 2 play under different flag 2 give crappy other nation players chance to get whooped on

also they ban hidden serve which took me awhile to adjust to not hiding my serves, they change point system so that lamer opponent will not become captivated by chinese super spin devil ghost serve,they will change any rule to curb the east in ruling the sport, what will they do next? ban sticky chinese rubber and every1 has to play with flimsy euro and japanese sponge rubber? i dont know of any other sport where they change rules so much so regularly

They change the rules so much because the products offered change so much. Also to keep it viewer friendly. How can you watch what you can't see?
All the things they change don't just change for the chinese, it changes for everyone. I'm sure Euro players were helped by speed glue as well. It all evens out.

For the record, Wang Liqin is still the best in 40mm Era. Wang Hao's Achievement is not even half of what WLQ have accomplished. Why include Waldner? Do u know that Waldner and Wang Liqin played eachother already in 1998 Quatar final? Wang Liqin was 19 years old and Waldner was 34. I repeat, 1998! That is 11 YEARS ago and Wang Liqin is not even 32 yet.

And ... most amazing part of this WTTC was that... Ma Lin had an insury as far as i know, and Wang Liqin didn't use boosters at all. But still they were in semifinals. and no matter what media say about Japanese rookies, the Chinese team dominated this WTTC.

And... Wang Liqin is known as the only Chinese player who didn't use any sort of boosters in this competition, while Wang Hao 'invented' a new way out from the anti-speed glue inspection. So it wasn't really fair even from beginning. It's even visible that Wang Liqin's forehand is weaker than b4. Most of his winners are from counter drive, not killer-power drive as b4.

after the glue ban is when you have seen his dcline on the fh, i have the same prblem and have been trying out dofferent rubbers since january 2009, the skyline 3 is ok unglued and some of epoxh bomb rubbers are working ok but i no longer dominate drastically at the clubs i play at as i did prior to glue ban so i know exactly what wang is going through,i cant find a replacement rubber for a glued hurricane 2
