Could u make a video or something showing inside if it or something because have have one and I want to convert it from nitro to electric.( I don't like gas boats but I do like gas trucks). Thanks :)
@Traxxastruckfreak66 Yeah, the original water cooling works fine. The boat is stable in rough water, but I've found getting the correct weight balance is pretty important. In heavy wind if the battery is in its normal location at the back of the boat, the boat's nose can go way up in the air and the wind will blow it over. Getting the weight correctly is as simple as moving the battery though. Then it's great in rough water.
@Traxxastruckfreak66 Yes, it's a lot faster. However, from our experimenting with the Super Vee 27 I would recommend getting a brush-less motor if you have a lot money to spend. They are faster than a Titan 12-Turn and they last longer. If you're curious about the motor we used in the video, here is some info: It's a Titan 12 turn 550 by TRAXXAS. They're dirt chap, you can get one on amazon for 16 dollars. It's a really good motor, great for hopping up boats like the Hammer and Blast.
@chevyironhead I know this is really late to be commenting, but if you still haven't bought a boat... You cannot use a stock ESC, I picked up a Duratrax ESC meant for trucks for 20 or 30 dollars. Works great in the hammer, though it is not water proof. The heat was not an issue at all, the motor we used is used in trucks, so it isn't normally water cooled, the water cooling system that comes stock with the hammer fits on the motor though, so cooling is never an issue.
Actually we used a normal cannon Power Shot taped to the boat to get that footage, but it was fairly risky so it probably would be a good idea to buy a real waterproof camera.
if you arent subscribed to me you should, i make some pretty good vids you might be interested in, even though they arent boats. I like boats, i always wanted one but i dont live by to much water so i never got one.
