Interesting...I never knew he had a dirt poor childhood. I have that much more respect for Sammy. This album is WAY under rated. The should re unite !
I just got Sammy's new book, so far it's really good. Man, he grew up dirt poor. If anybody deserves all the success in the world it's Sammy for sure.
I saw Montrose last night and would encourage every fan of this album/era to go out and see the most recent incarnation of the band. Ronnie's chops, tone and phrasing are as good as ever and and the band flat out kicks ass. The set list includes every song from this album, plus a couple of others from subsequent albums, including I Got The Fire. Smokin set......
for a 13 year old i think its pretty awesome i listen too montrose, humble pie, rick derringer, johnny winter, rory gallagher, ufo, blue cheer, and so many others
Who is the idiot who voted thumbs down? This is a 38 year old song and it sounds just as good now as it did when it came out. Better than the shit coming out today that's for damn sure. What a dumb ass you are!
@stellastarr69 You got that right Dude. Only problem is, and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but NOW there are actually 2 dumbasses who voted "thumbs down". Don't worry, these 2 that voted "thumbs down" are just plain ol' LOSERS who will never appreciate the greatness of Montrose. I mean, the entire album Kicks Serous Ass!!!
ahh....yes winterland...memories i saw rush open for ted nugent there ...same time period....montrose is coming to my town on the 16th great venue...very small 100 dollar ticket gets u show and 5 course meal.....orange blossom junction....you can bet ill be there!
i saw these guys at winterland san francisco in 1974? mabye 3,i was like freshmen or sophmore in h.s. they opened for lynard skynard and the outlaws if i remember right(skynard headlined and outlaws in the middle but the encore was freebird (what else) and ALL the guitar players from other two bands came on and played along with that!.kick in the ass show, talk about shock and awe!, bush didn't have shit on this! i miss those days
so i used to steal this album from my brothers room & rock out to it in the early morning hours before he would wake up...im thinkin i was 12...like 1978...yea thats right...to this day i love hagar....
is there one track on this album that doesnt have a killer riff...love it ...since the day i discovered it in my dads record collection..must have been 79.?

That RIFF is sooo sexy, even though the Miss's can't dance, she looks good walking away to this track.
