  • RASTAFARI!

  • move em up move em on out!

  • I like that ambient feedback sound throughout the whole song, anyone know where Muggs sampled it from or how he created that effect.

  • @Oni64 sounds like a wind instrument with lots of reverb on it. try an instrument with plenty of high frequency partials (sax, oboe, flute, or a high note on a synth) put a low cut on it and add plenty of reverb, maybe take the original sound out so just the reverb sounds. if you use logic get the space designer out, use one of the preset ambient reverbs and turn the 'reverb mix' all the way up! thats what i do anyway!

  • @laceythepoon Thanks for the tip :) I noticed he does the same thing on "I Ain't Goin' Out Like That" onmn the Black Sunday LP. But that effect sounds more like a guitar feedback, maybe a guitar sound on a synth.

  • what movie is this? the one at the beginning?

  • thats the only part i enjoyed from the movie.. i actually felt like taking someones head off when i heard that part! theres nothing like taking someone out...

  • Read the bible ppl Ezekiel 25:17 is exactly what Samuel says in the movie it wasnt MADE UP by Quentin its quoted from the bible

  • no it is not EXACTLY what he says

  • Hello. The beginning of Samuel L. Jackson diatribe is not from the Bible. "blessed is he who in the name of charity and good will shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness...etc." was COMPLETELY invented as it is NOWHERE in the Bible (Ezekiel included). Ezekiel 25"17 is short and doesn't say ANY OF THAT STUFF until the middle of his diatribe. I read my Torah and also checked the Christian Bible and IT'S NOT THERE EITHER. Record it and check it out. Plus Listen to the #'s Samuel mentions.

  • I love this song for real, it goes hard... some seriously ill product here.

  • It's funny that the verse in Ezekiel which Samuel L. Jackson quoted (before he started killing) in this PulpFiction and this song (which is a great verse) does NOT exist. A friend pointed that out to me a few years ago. I couldn't believe that that verse was just invented by Quentin Tarrantino for his movie. Tremendous verse, though.

  • really

damn that verse doe not even sound made up...

but i never read the bible lol

    and I love his movies!

  • Shit ! That's the beauty of that verse from Ezekiel. It's sounds totally legit and killer. Just like something G-d would say right before killing an entire nation. I looked it up a few years ago and IT DOESN'T EXIST anywhere in the Book of Ezekiel. That's some kick ass shit to recite to someone right before you blow their head off though.

  • @dr764 Fo real? Damn that is serious shit,Quentin is a legend!

  • @dr764 Dont read the bible, amn, it will make you an atheist!

  • @dr764 youtube.com/watch?v=8LYT4JC2dd4

  • ehh, the verse is taken from the bible....

  • Hello. Okay, the only verse that's real is Exekiel 25:17. But all that other stuff about the path of the righteous being beset on all sides by cruel men and all that other stuff is COMPLETELY made up. Just listen to his quote and look it up. Verse 25:17 is short. Just look it up. But I'm glad that you people are interested in that stuff.

  • that was Sameul L Jackson on the movie pulp fiction.one of the badest quote's i know.and jackson nailed it.

  • you should'nt put god the bible and a cuss word in the same sentence

  • sorry i didnt mean any offence, but god fuckin rools everything lol ;)

  • man what about other gods...

there are thousands of other gods! not just the all mighty one....

    man shit dont be ignorant

  • I would say you're correct... But whom has the power in this time and day? Not to say He is correct, necessarily, but as Jesus himself said, "Render things unto Caesar things that are Caesars"... Again, not comparing Jesus to the ruler, but when you measure belief, he is the King of the time.

  • na cause the all mighty is superior and if there where other gods there couldnt be a fucked up world now

  • @dr764 : there's only one god -> ME

  • @dr764 god dosent exist and a godlike creature whould have no interest or need to intrest a small foolish monkey like you.

  • Danm straight.

  • @dr764 there is no god dumbass

  • @dr764 god dosent exist

  • @JacobH420 I disagree, I truly believe in God and Jesus, but everybody got their believes and I respect that, but posting that was plain stupid...

  • @VIKINGODIN god dosent exitst

  • @JacobH420 im not saying he does but you dont know that he does'nt,one thing that does not exist is your spelling lol ;)

  • @VIKINGODIN : good response to that IDIOT , he better take his cheap theory somewhere else .Thanks VIKIN....

  • @vassephardi His quote ends with Ezek 25:17 (at least a paraphrase). But I agree, very biblical-sounding!

  • @vassephardi yes it does exist but only what he says in the beggining when he starts getting to the middle he begins to bullshit

  • @poxflaza Sorry but the verse number DOES NOT EXIST. And neither the stuff that he's saying. Only 25:17 exists. Read it yourself. I'm Jewish and that's one of my favorite books. I do agree that it sounds great but look for and and see if you find it. Nothing about "finder of lost children and all that other stuff. Only from "And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes..and they shall know that I'm the L-rd, when I shall lay My vengeance upon them." Nothing else.

  • @vassephardi tarantino did not invent that verse its in the bible..tarantino just copied the verse from the movie chiba the bodyguard..tarantino steals from other movies..

  • @zamboangaVillain Oh, do you mean like one of Sonny Chiba's Golgo movies? He was killer in them movies. My older brother made us watch them when I was little.

But anyway, my point is that SOMEBODY made up that giant verse that Samuel L. Jackson "quotes". It sounds GREAT but it'd be nice if some of these people would actually LOOK for it in the Bible instead of just assuming that it's legit.

Great "verse" though and good scene in the movie too.

  • @vassephardi whaattttt I didn't know that haha fuckin genius and it goes perfect with cypress hill

  • @snubbs741 Yep, you're right. It's genius and legit sounding gangsta. It's fucking great. I didn't notice it myself until a friend of mine pointed it out a couple of years ago that it DOESN'T EXIST in the Bible. I was like "whaaaaaaaaa"?

He sat with me and made me search in my bibles, and lo and behold, it doesn't. Just a figment of someones imagination.

But it sounds fucking great and legit though. On the real.

  • @vassephardi

dude, it does exist, but was rewritten a bit

  • Ok, this is what I suggest: Sit down a write, verbatim, what Samuel L. Jackson "quotes". When you have it either hand-written or typed then LOOK IT UP IN THE BIBLE. See if you find it. Just look for it. Don't be scared to smoke weed and dig into the Bible. Many Hasidim do it and Rastas obviously do it. Dig it up. You'll only see "And I'll strike down with rebukes" but NOTHING else that Samuel "quotes". No "path of the righteous, iniquity of evil men. Poison my brothers. Lost children," etc.

  • @vassephardi

ok, i got two different versions:

"I will execute great acts of vengeance on them, punishing them furiously. Thus they shall know that I am the Lord, when I wreak my vengeance on them."

"And I will execute great vengeance upon them, rebuking them in fury: and they shall know I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them"

I suppose there may exist another version where they have Jackson's entire quote. I could be wrong.

  • @paulbriaud1 Exactly ! You have the right quotes. But that's all there is. There's NOTHING about "finder of lost children" or "the path of the righteous is beset on all sides by blah blah blah" nor about "those who choose to poison my brothers". None of that stuff. It's all ADDED FANTASY PADDING to the verse you just quoted in your reply to me. Dude here last week said Tarantino copied that fake verse from a Sonny Chiba movie. Scroll up a little and you'll see his comment to me on that.

  • Comment removed

  • @tdmkr21 It's like this tough guy: That "verse" DOESN'T exist. Tarantino lifted it from a Sonny Chiba movie called The Bodyguard. In the Bible only one sentence exists and it'd be nice if you'd actually look it up like another person did a few weeks ago and put all the versions he found from his Bibles. Instead of you trying to fight with strangers on this youtube and especially over NOTHING. Just look it up. It DOESN'T EXIST. It sounds great but that's it. The Bodyguard (Sonny Chiba) is here.

  • @vassephardi Chiba!

  • @vassephardi ......sorry brother, but in fact Ezequiel 25/17 is an actual verse, it does exist and is on the bible..wasnt invented..go check it out and see..

  • @caleefornian Sorry but you don't understand that all the stuff this guy is quoting is MAD UP since Ezequiel 25/17 is VERY SHORT. It doesn't have all the stuff this guy made up. This guy is actually quoting from a Sonny Chiba movie. I wish you'd actually transcribe what Samuel is saying then read the verse in the bible. That way you can compare and see for yourself. 'Cause no-one said that verse doesn't exist, only that all this stuff here is ADDED ONTO IT.

Just go see for yourself & compare.

  • @vassephardi... youre right I went and checked it out.. its actually shorter indeed.. sorry my mistake

  • @caleefornian It's understandable. And months ago someone here told me where it's from. Quentin Tarantino loves karate movies & so he lifted it from a Sonny Chiba movie called The Bodyguard. Check it out and you'll see it word for word. Sonny Chiba plays I think Golgo. Pure 1970's martial arts assassin stuff.

  • @vassephardi it is in the bible just not in the words quentin put it in but the real bible verse says basically the same thing

  • @nazirights01 Look at the comment from caleefronian to me yesterday. He looked up the verse & saw that it's REALLY SHORT & not all this stuff that Samuel L. Jackson is saying. Quentin lifted it from a Sonny Chiba movie from the 1970's.

The real verse is only like a sentence long and has NOTHING about "the path of blah blah.. the children blah blah.." Please just look it up and compare to what's being quoted here.

This verse does sound great, but it's BOGUS.

  • @vassephardi "And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them." That is the actual passage from Ezekiel 25-17. Jules added some stuf from the 23rd Psalm too. But i agreed it is absolutley bad ass.

  • @21evilgrizz Wow, so that's what happened? He just added stuff from Psalms? Interesting.

'Cause this EXACT QUOTE if from a Sonny Chiba movie from the 1970s. So Tarrantino just copied it.

It's a quote versed out right before Sonny Chiba starts killing people.

    Great stuff.

  • @vassephardi i didnt know that. i just saw an interview where he said he added all this stuff togather. maybe he meant that verse along with eveything else that happened.

  • @21evilgrizz Right. But actually he lifted it from a 1970's Japanese movie starring Sonny Chiba. Someone here pointed that out to me a few months ago. It's even on youtube that clip. Watch this short clip:

    youtube.com/watch?v=8LYT4JC2dd4

  • b real ripped dis

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of

the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of

charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness,

for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And

I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger, those

who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. AND YOU WILL KNOW MY NAME IS

    THE LORD, WHEN I LAY...

  • that's right the song say. who will stand end the gap? lost in babalon . greatescape260

  • ok does anyone know what the first song in Stomp the yard trailer is called.

  • hmmm i never really paid attention to the cypress and cube beef can someone tell me how it started?

  • ice cube basically stole a song that cypress wrote, and he used it in his film "friday" as a theme song kinda thing. so cypress was obviously pissed, and they made a song basically slating ice cube, its called no rest for the wicked. or its summit like that anyway :) xx

  • well wdf did cube do that for

  • cuz cube said it was perfect for his movie but cypress was like, we woudl but its our single for teh temples of boom album, so he created a hook that was similar to "throw ur set in the air" which he used "throw your neighboorhood in the air" and set means neighborhood so cube apologized and everythin was coo till b-real went to cubes studio and heard a line that he wrote in cubes line so he went outside for a bit and when he came back it was gone so after that he wrote "no rest for the wicked"

  • she hes jus stealin everythin from em fuck

    is they still beefin now?

  • naw they coo now

  • cuz cube said it was perfect for his video but cypress said naw cuz it was their single for this album so cube said ight. but when one of breals homies saw the vid hes like cube jacked yo hook which cypress' is "throw yo set in the air" and cubes goes like "throw your neighborhood in the air" and set=neighborhood, but then shit was coo then breal went to cubes studio and heard a line that b-real said in another song and he went outside an wen he came back it was gone so b-real knew he was jackin

  • it was couse copyright infrigment basicly lol but they made these songs dissing each other ice cube killa no rest for the wicked- by cypress hill and king of the hill by ice cube

  • what a good fucken song, samuel l jacksons monlogue is so classic from pulp, good fucken opening
