Each intelligent species in the universe must go through 1 billion rebirths (collectively, as a whole species) before it develops sufficient collective intelligence to learn to live in perfect harmony with the cosmos. Humanity is still far from its one-billionth rebirth. That's why as a species we are still so stupid and barbaric. It just can't be helped -- we're at that level in our evolution. We'll just all have to die and reincarnate en masse on another world, and continue evolving. :)

Hug your grand kids & tell them you love them & you are sorry that they will not be able to enjoy the careless life we did in the 50s, the changes we tried to enact as our awareness blossomed in the 60s, the hope that rock would come back & beat disco back into oblivion as we did in the 70s, the techno gadgets that made life fun in the 80s, & wealth we realized from cheap oil in the 90s.Your grand kids will not likely have their own grand kids and that represents the end of line for most of us.

Who cares if 80% of the world population dies? Honestly who does? Most only care for them to be among the 20% surviving.
Find an island, move there and grow your own crops. You will work roughly 2 hours a day to feed a family of two adults and two children. We now work 8 hours aday to do the same! it's mass MADNESS

peak oil=peak population=peak food=war. We are in for very hard times. As the numbers indicate, very few of us have a clue. IT WILL HAPPEN VERY QUICKLY! Good luck.

I like to thank Dr. Peter Lloyd for his clear messages about the truth of climate change and peak oil. The way our societies function today must change fast and profoundly. The days of cheap oil, cheap energy and cheap food will be gone very soon. We have to prepare ourselves for the coming big changes right now. No-one else can do more for your own survival and the survival of your progeny like you can. Don't waste time, start today!
