No one interested in the 500 with heli ommand I will add 450se needs new belt with helicommand again on same dx7 radio serious offers to fred1842@live.com
hi its me again i still own the trex 500 in the video . no crashes for sale offers to fred18ster@gmail.com. comes with dx7,charger,battery,manual, fulll spec on request
i have a trex 500 and i have crash a few times, everything on my 500 is align product except i have 9257 tail servo and a hobbyking hk401b cyro. everything seems to work fine but it drifts all over the place can you help me if so email me at qroadrunner96@yahoo.com and for some reason your website won't come up or display.
I think HC will save me times and money. That not count for mental anguise . I got so angry. in the sim i fly ok. Come to the real thing I keep crashing it. Thank for HC.
i think HC in a bad idea makes it to easy to fly and when you stop using it then what you might aswell start over with your training.. a well set up heli and an half decent sim is all you need.. and dont try to run b4 you can walk.. i spent around a month flying a cx2 indoors with very little fix cost then got a sim while i was building my trex 500 the cx2 is great and after a little use on there you can git the basics down in no time .. cx2 crashes 3-4 .. trex 500 crashes 0 ..1 year flying now
perfect how u set up ur heli...I have a question for you..I have a T-rex 450 with a spektrum dx6, my heli just keeps going in circles..I know it's not the gyro cause it's new..do u think the problem is my dx6 set up?
At first i wanted to bash this thing, but then realized i spent about $700 learning to fly on an esky belt cp over a period of 3 months. HC would cost similar i suppose. My problem is once i mastered the belt cp i moved on to the trex 600 electric, then 600 nitro. Buying 3 sets of HC for each heli does cost a lot more than learning to fly the conventional way, therefore i'm happy without. I would recommend it to my other friends though who i know would quit the hobby after the first crash.
Perhaps some here would attempt to fly a real helicopter the first time without an instructor. The HC IS an instructor in a way. One says start with a simple heli and work up... I'm at 2$000 so far, and still have not gotten more than 3 feet up, and usually terminating in some type of prang. HC would have been much cheaper, and I would have learned on a desired heli. If you want to learn to drive a Corvette, would you start with a VW and work up ? Thanks for posting the videao.. great job mate.
hmmmm 4% huh.......well that's fine...i am a 1 percentile kindaguy......keep watching, I think I'll skip Helicommand if it drops me into the twatty 4th percentile and below.
I own the 500 in the video since taking delivery of completed Trex Crashes Zero repairs Zero. Am I a better flyer due to helicommand, I firmly believe i've learn't a lot quicker of course when weather permits.
It's electric and I don't think you can get more than 5 minutes of flight before the battery drys up. Quite frankly I was bored watching it hover for 3 minutes and then finally traveling a dozen yards. I appreciate the technology but isn't it far more fun to fly fixed wing model aircraft? They can't hover but they can fly circles around this.
Any veteran heli pilot that bashes these types of stabilization systems is both hypocritcal and jealous. Would you fly without a tail gyro? I didnt think so. All helis have some type of stabilization, so to bash one type and not the other shows your ignorance to new tech. These systems have multiple uses and are great for learning orientation, they can also be defeated as the pilots skills grow. So give people a break, this device makes it easier for more people to embrace the hobby.
Oh and to the naysayers - we all know you probably spent a lot more than the cost of this device in repairs when learning to fly, so it doesnt surprise me you'd be jealous of it. Quit being so bitter because you didnt have it when you were learning. This is a valuable tool and pays for itself by reducing crashes, not flying the heli for you. It still teaches orientation better than sim and takes the edge off crashing your $700 model. But just like any training tool, people will outgrow it.
disagree git a cx2 for 100 pound and that tought me everything i needed to know i saved 500 pound and it was great fun learning then i got a sim and a trex 500 i fly for 30min to a hour on the sim a couple times a week and have not crashed my trex yet ive been flying a year now more sport then 3d but now im 100% with my trex im gona start trying 3d flight and i still use the cx2 to this day more so on them cold windy days when going outside is a big no. i was always told dont run b4 u can walk
i agree mate i know full well i spent £350 in repairs on my helis so shelling out for a helicommand was a great idea now i have still crashed WITH the helicommand but to give you a comparison crashed the white b400 from arount a foot up it rolled and repairs cost £24 crashed the heli inverted WITH helicommand installed and only took out the maingear mainshaft and feathering shaft (less than a tenner) second crash yesterday was free as there was no damage :)
@soxthebull Dont listen to all these jackoffs. the more stable you start the better your skills get. they all talk shit like they jumed out there diapers and were hot shit.I think its a great tool
Yes, I strongly believe that helicommands are the future, as each person learns at different speeds, and there is nothing wrong with an aid at the beginning.
Very impressive stability. I just might get a helicommand. I have 2 completely assembled Kalt Whispers that just need rotor head alignments

There is no heli school in Salt Lake City.
I wan't to retire with something that might keep my brain functioning, long enough, to pay back my parents.

Yes, can't argue against that one. No insult to helicommand intended. I'm sure there is a market out there :)

Yes a massive market, a great business for me

I saw a statistic once that said only 4% of all people that try to fly Heli's ever achieve forward flight !!! maybe HC will change that :)
