@stranger2two I just read the tafsir of ibn kathir, in fact there are 2 verses, one talks about 2 seas, one salty and the other fresh. The second verse speaks only of a barrier. But you can clearly see two different colors in the vid. you don't need to be divine to know that. It's as it were saying "the sky is blue", and people claim a miracle...

@Galathea000 I think that basically the Qur'an is not a science book and It is a book that is really on about the doctrine of 'al walaa wa al baraa' which can be roughly 'interpreted and not translated' as 'what is of faith and what is not, and what does it necessitates and what does it absolve itself from': It is living by the spirit of Islam which is 'There's none worthy of worship/there's no God besides Allah' (both actually imply the same thing actually).

@stranger2two the quran is not a science book, but it's supposed to be the perfect word of the creator, yet it has huges errors when it comes to the understanding of the universe, and it makes it completly incompatible with facts and science.

About the the projectiles, it says explicitly that stars and galaxies are thrown on jinns, and according to a hadith those are the chunks of rocks that burn in the atmosphere (please compare that to the thousands of light years wide galaxies).

@Galathea000 i had these confusions as well, but the translation of the Qur'an is heavily flawed dear, i - at times -think that the translation of the Qur'an might have had brought much damage to that religion actually. they even say that each single drop of the rain is carried by an angel, but still, i find it not outside logic. About the tafsirs and the quran, i read them in arabic. And if you check out ibn kathir or tabarii, you'll notice that they explain with hadiths, meanwhile recent apologists explain according to today's knowledge, which ever is true is the interpretation, no sources whatsoever.. Just take a look at ibn kathir's 36:38.
