First of all I don't hear any of the candidates on the Republican side espousing unconstitutional ideas. This territory is held almost exclusively by the Democrat party. The defining difference of Paul's appeal to the "constitution" is decidedly one of the Libertarian party and NOT the Republican. So, for example, Paul would have everyone legally carrying around marijuana, or name your drug in whatever quantity, legalize them all and tax. He would say have whatever kind of sex imaginable with
@Sheriffjohn316 of course none of them would campaign on or promote unconstitutional idea's but how many of them would get rid of laws that are unconstitutional? Only one, Ron Paul. Also, Ron Paul wouldn't force anyone to carry drugs, and only a moron who ignores everything he's ever said on the subject would suggest it.
@LordZentei Be Careful about associating Lincoln with modern Republicanism because the differences in the party then and now is very different. During the Lincoln presidency, a Republican in the south was unheard of but now its a damn tough environment for Democrats. This was despite no fundamental change of beliefs in the South. Just food for thought.
Too many of you are smoking the same crack as Ron Paul. He will never get the nomination as a Republican because he is by definition a Libertarian. Also, give me a break he will still be clueless in wondering what are our interests in defending ourselves long after any enemy is already occupying our very streets. He's a nice old man, but really he needs to go work for the ACLU or something, he's WAY TOO paranoid by far.
@Sheriffjohn316 he's the only candidate that makes any sound sense. the other candidates dodge questions, talk about obamacare and 999 too much, and don't actually put forth real policies that will work. the constitution is the real law of the land, and it's time to follow the constitution.
Ok,all the people who keep whining about Ron Paul need to realize one thing: He's NOT going to be the next president. He's too old,and the establishment is not going to let him win,no matter what. And believes me,he knows that. Ron Paul is running to bring these issues about the Fed and the excessive military spending to the forefront, and he's doing a good job at doing that! But too many of Ron Pauls supporters are doing EXACTLY what Obamas supporters did:They're putting all their hopes on ONE MAN.
The GOP debates, all of them, have been too Perry and Romney heavy. I think Ron Paul is hard to corner, and probably gathers the most respect from the other candidates than anyone else. We understand where he stands on the FED, but these debates are failing by asking the same questions to the same people. I'd like to take a stopwatch to the face-time of each candidate in each debate and see how unbalanced they all are.
@ Herman Cain -- "The government is like a pizza and all the programs and laws are like toppings. What we need to do is get rid of some toppings and make the pizza cheaper for the customer. Toppings like anchovies, pineapple and sausage. Sausage ain't nothing but pork. We got pepperoni so who needs sausage ? And I believe that we should make all pizzas one price. Personal pie - $9 , Medium Pie $9 and even the XL - that should be $9. That's fair. -- VOTE CAIN ! Forget RON PAUL !
Now I'm a former homeschooler (though once a homeschooler always a homeschooler) so I'm really big about not just taking main stream for their word. They have a record of lying for their own agenda. I just read The Revolution from Ron Paul. He is knowledgeable, He researches, and he has stood by his principals for his whole life. He has a history of self sacrifice for the service of his country. He's the only one I trust to get in their and actually do what's best for our nation.
Notice at 1:07 into the video one of the announcer calls on Sen. Santorum, and Santorum says "Romney's before me." This is staged and if people can't see it, they are judging out of ignorance. In fact, there were several instances where I could tell this debate was rehearsed.
@brokemower It was a question and answer session that was stated before it began, that it would be alphabetically. R comes before S, therefore Romney was before Santorum. Also it's why Bachman began this session. HOLY GOD IT'S A CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ron Paul is what we really need,I used to be a strong Democrat and then Ron Paul opened my mind, and I would like to add that the best comment I've ever heard was Ron Paul's:you're not gonna be president forever at 1:11:30-1:12
Are you even aware of the new weapons and spy tools that is now distributed to local law enforcement and sponsored by for example the department of energy ?
(And then there is of course the new potential war in Iran or some financialy related country + a border FENCE against "illegal immigrants")
It REALLY scares me to know that I actually have relatives currently living in your country !
Only a brain dead idiot would vote for Rick Perry, another Texas Tea Bagger Governor, following in the footsteps of GWB, yet another brain dead idiot Texas Governor that shares the same idiotic views as the Tea Baggers.
Cain is the smartest. He knows what he is doing. He is a true smart leader. He isn't a fake politician like Mitt Romney. Romney is probably the best POLOTICIAN, but not the best president. We don't need someone that can talk the talk. We need someone like Cain who can provide clear action. His ideas are clear and logical. Btw bachman is a joke
I don't understand why everybody ignores Huntsman. He's seen the world, he's been governor and he won the second election by nearly 80%. Don't just look at the promises and slogans because they won't matter after the first year. Republican voters seem to like crazy people playing blame games right now and a moderate who's willing to work with both parties for the sake of America just doesn't fit into the equation.
They hardly spoke to Ron Paul?! He has a lot of good ideas and objectives but the mainstream manipulates who they think should be heard! He's the best candidate there!
@OceanTheViking I think its more about patriotism and fixing the country we love. The reason we like Ron Paul is because we CAN think for ourselves and want the freedom to do so. Everyone else here is a clown.
@OceanTheViking true and ya sry bout the comment sometimes i get a lil aggressive, but i do agree that newt is a good candidate, and you really have to look into ron paul more to see what he is about, hes the only republican candidate that follows the constitution, just watch and read more stuff about him. you will see what i mean lol
@iMoDzGaMeRz1 uhh no, i could agree with the other guy on gingrich having the highest IQ but thats where it ends with him...good candidate? not hardly...i love ron paul too but im very nervous that he is so unlikely to win...if you compare the man today to the brilliant speaker he was in the 80's, its pretty clear that age is catching up to him and he doesnt sell himself well at all...to me, that matters not...however, the rest of the public will see this as a fatal flaw in the end.
@iMoDzGaMeRz1 Okay, here's my beef on Ron Paul, because I have looked into him. I like his financial perspective, but that's about it. He's the only one with realistic budgeting cuts and wants to audit the fed. All good ideas. However, He's a pro-life, creationist Christian who doesn't believe in the separation of church and state puts the tenth amendment over the first and second amendment. If he had his way completely, states could decide whether or not you have first amendment rights.
@OceanTheViking Yes he does believe in the separation of church and state, as far as being pro-life he believes it's up to the states, so not really sure what your 'beef' is with paul. paul is clearly the best candidate in my opinion.
@OceanTheViking ok so actually, his 'we the people act' would remove any federal interference with religion and allow states/local governments to decide if they want to include any religious texts/display religious images, which seems fine to me. Im not religious at all. But if a local area believes a certain way and wants to incorporate that belief more, should be allowed. Small beef considering all the positives going for paul
@OceanTheViking yes i am very pro-life but he will vote against abortions in the federal government, he will not vote to give the governments money to abortion clinics, so he will try and make it illegal. cause he is pro-life hes not pro-choice
@iMoDzGaMeRz1 Could, but I probably agree with you more than you'd think. I'm personally pro-life, but believe that since I'm a male I'm not the one carrying the child, so I don't get the final say. I'm a supporter of individual rights to govern individual situations. The government shouldn't make a blanket solution for all situations in regards to abortion. To do so is to put a oversimplified solution onto a complicated issue, which simply doesn't work. Let people make their own decisions.
@iMoDzGaMeRz1 Can I ask a question? I understand and respect that people believe that abortion is wrong... What I do not understand is how they believe that it is the place of politicians through the constitution to regulate it. What is the defense for that? I get they say it is human and it they have rights under the constitution but what part of the constitution gives them the power to determine whether a fetus is a human?
@MrFutureFarmer fetus is actually offspring and then which it is parent decedent which is a baby and therefore killing a human life is immoral and illegal it called to murder
Who said Isreal is our friend??? Isreal says they do not need our aid. watch?v=Qi6CTnQTUgg So lets not give them any more! They are big kids now, they can take care of themselves.
In sum. "I hate Government, just like you!" "Vote me into the Government!". No other person could be hired with his rhetoric. Imagine a police offcer or babysitter applying for work by saying they hate the very institution they apply for. How funny.
I refuse to like this video simply because of who it was uploaded by. Ugh, why is Clown Perry still even running? Hes an idiot. And So is Dog Sex Santorum.
The majority of our country's history, the south WAS democrat. And most rural areas ARE fairly democratic in their leanings, until the last couple elections. Democrat and Republican definitions have changed a lot since the Civil War.
Stop calling the Federal Reserve a part of the US government, its not its a Congressional chartered PRIVATE BANK.Stop lying to the people, enough is enough.
@SoulAtack I wish they would just let those who watch the debates and research on the internet vote. If they did, Ron Paul would be our next president, hands down, no contest
Milton Friedman, Romney are you serious? this is the guy who is the god father of the current disaster. his the mentor of Greenspan, Palson, Bernanke & Geithner, ... wow...( minute 28).
because everyone who does the debates r for the special interest and those two idiots keep going bac and forth and they have done that every time to make it where nobody else can talk,
When everyone focuses their questions on Romney, it just gives him extra attention and makes him appear the frontrunner that much more. Just ignore him if you're trying to beat him.
I paused the bloomberg fast fact on bush and obama. they only left out the most important comparison and that is bush served 8 years - obama has only served 3 .do you think he is going to cut back on spending? ha !! it's full steam ahead for him !!! Bloomgerg wouldn't be biased would they? naaa !! they will get a free pass too.
Ron Paul and Gingrich are truly the only canidates that make the most sense.. and, i'm a democrate! If Ron Paul or Gingrich get the nomination, I will vote for one of them! We also need a flat tax.. The 999 plan is a start, and one that needs to be implemented, or something very similar! Romney wanting to build up our Military more, and/or make it stronger is not the answer. Yes, we need a strong Military, but, it too is bloated, and needs serious streamling, which includes the Pentagon!
These debates are hilarious. They all speak as if they understand the world economy and all the problems. Unfortunately, you can't implement and fix everything you talk about, that's the real life. Then you listen to people like Mitt Romney who will have all the fixes done on day 1 and that is just stupid.
Out of this group, Ron Paul has the most knowledge and is probably the most adequate candidate.
Julianna Goldman exposes what is wrong with the media today. She knows in her own mind she is right, when in fact she is wrong. hy·po·thet·i·cal (hp-tht-kl) also hy·po·thet·ic (-thtk) 1. Perry is wrong on the Solindra question. No government entity should be investing in any company, period. Why? Because it is taxpayer's money. If a politician thinks a company or industry is a good investment, they should invest their own money.
Bloomberg fast fact is misleading @54'.02". The Federal debt has increased $4 trillion since President Obama took office. Under President G.W. Bush it increased by $5 trillion. Raising the debt by any amount when it is already in the trillions is sickening. Notice how Bloomberg gives President Obama cover, intentionally or unintentionally, by failing to state that President Obama has raised the debt nearly as much as G. W. Bush in less than 3 years verses Bush’s 8 years.
If one looks at the history of our nation from its beginnings, studies the forefathers' words & the reasons they said what they said, considers where our nation has gone astray, looks at how our system can function within the global community & finally, considers implementing the changes our nation needs to make NOW... not just making changes to the current structure of the system & trudging down even further.
Rick Santorum...I love you, but you're wrong on this. First, Cain himself said the 999 was for his first term--to jolt the economy--and his second term would focus on the FairTax, economics-wise.
Second...Cain's also said his plan would include a requirement that all tax increases would require a 2/3 supermajority of both houses of Congress....
As for Michelle's "666" wisecrack...cute, but...no.
No... what happened was, they got greedy & short-sighted & those short-term profits looked great, while the long-term affects weren't considered. Now, no one can afford to buy the few products that we do happen to make in America, because so many people don't have a freaking job!! The Chinese & the Indians & the Vietnamese & the Taiwanese are better able to afford whatever they want.
LOL! What a joke! Herman Cain's 999 plan looks a lot like the default tax structure in the computer game SimCity 4 which was released in 2003. The residents in SimCity4 were living under a system where the default tax rate was 9 percent for commercial taxes, 9 percent for industrial taxes and 9 percent for residential taxes.
@EggaChoppaDooey "life can be a challenge, life can seem impossible, but it's never easy when there's so much on the line" I think he said it at the end of the republican debate at Iowa and here is a link to the song
I really liked the cofidence the Mitt Romney has. He seems much more intelligent and seems to be running a much more organized campaign than his contenders. His job plan has been out for 3 weeks and nobody is critizising it, that I know of.

LordZentei 3 months ago
@LordZentei They are the LAST. No one from the Republican Party will be as good as Lincoln or Ike.
Jantv81 3 months ago
@LordZentei Be Careful about associating Lincoln with modern Republicanism because the differences in the party then and now is very different. During the Lincoln presidency, a Republican in the south was unheard of but now its a damn tough environment for Democrats. This was despite no fundamental change of beliefs in the South. Just food for thought.

Register as a republican and vote for RON PAUL!!
Epitomedrums03 3 months ago
Too many of you are smoking the same crack as Ron Paul. He will never get the nomination as a Republican because he is by definition a Libertarian. Also, give me a break he will still be clueless in wondering what are our interests in defending ourselves long after any enemy is already occupying our very streets. He's a nice old man, but really he needs to go work for the ACLU or something, he's WAY TOO paranoid by far.
Sheriffjohn316 3 months ago
@Sheriffjohn316 he's the only candidate that makes any sound sense. the other candidates dodge questions, talk about obamacare and 999 too much, and don't actually put forth real policies that will work. the constitution is the real law of the land, and it's time to follow the constitution.
Epitomedrums03 3 months ago
Michael Reagan is NOT the son of Ronald Reagan. He's only an adopted child, and is NOT related to President Reagan in any way!
Yellyist 3 months ago

In fact, there were several instances where I could tell this debate was rehearsed.
brokemower 3 months ago
@brokemower It was a question and answer session that was stated before it began, that it would be alphabetically. R comes before S, therefore Romney was before Santorum. Also it's why Bachman began this session. HOLY GOD IT'S A CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess Obama it is, good luck next time.

OceanTheViking 4 months ago
@OceanTheViking Yes he does believe in the separation of church and state, as far as being pro-life he believes it's up to the states, so not really sure what your 'beef' is with paul. paul is clearly the best candidate in my opinion.

@OceanTheViking ok so actually, his 'we the people act' would remove any federal interference with religion and allow states/local governments to decide if they want to include any religious texts/display religious images, which seems fine to me. Im not religious at all. But if a local area believes a certain way and wants to incorporate that belief more, should be allowed. Small beef considering all the positives going for paul
rnlke 4 months ago
@OceanTheViking yes i am very pro-life but he will vote against abortions in the federal government, he will not vote to give the governments money to abortion clinics, so he will try and make it illegal. cause he is pro-life hes not pro-choice
iMoDzGaMeRz1 4 months ago
@iMoDzGaMeRz1 well, I'm pro-choice.
OceanTheViking 4 months ago
@OceanTheViking can we debate about this it would be fun?
iMoDzGaMeRz1 4 months ago
@iMoDzGaMeRz1 Could, but I probably agree with you more than you'd think. I'm personally pro-life, but believe that since I'm a male I'm not the one carrying the child, so I don't get the final say. I'm a supporter of individual rights to govern individual situations. The government shouldn't make a blanket solution for all situations in regards to abortion. To do so is to put a oversimplified solution onto a complicated issue, which simply doesn't work. Let people make their own decisions.
OceanTheViking 4 months ago
@OceanTheViking abortion is wrong
iMoDzGaMeRz1 3 months ago
@iMoDzGaMeRz1 Well, that was a spirited debate.
OceanTheViking 3 months ago
@iMoDzGaMeRz1 Can I ask a question? I understand and respect that people believe that abortion is wrong... What I do not understand is how they believe that it is the place of politicians through the constitution to regulate it. What is the defense for that? I get they say it is human and it they have rights under the constitution but what part of the constitution gives them the power to determine whether a fetus is a human?
MrFutureFarmer 3 months ago
@MrFutureFarmer fetus is actually offspring and then which it is parent decedent which is a baby and therefore killing a human life is immoral and illegal it called to murder
